I have bought a number of items in…
I have bought a number of items in Irish Garage Equipment in the last few years including a Hyundai pressure washer and a Hyundai Chain Saw. Both were excellent. I was in the area on Tuesday 24th Mar 2026 and dropped in to buy a spare chain for my chain saw. I also bought a 3 in 1 sander which I planned to use at the weekend. When I opened the box there was no sander, just two battery chargers. I asked IGE to send me a replacement by post. They want me to bring back the box with the chargers - a one and a half hour round trip - for a €49 sander! Then they proposed a convoluted exchange mechanism. They have absolutely no concept of customer service. They screwed up so they should fix it conveniently for their customer. Avoid them like the plague.

Thank you for your feedback, and for your continued custom over the past few years — we genuinely appreciate your support.
I would like to clarify a couple of points regarding your recent purchase. Firstly, the missing sander has now been dispatched to you as of yesterday, and you should receive it shortly.
Secondly, our records show that the purchase was made on the 24th of March, rather than February as mentioned in your review.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the initial issue with the missing item. However, we are a little surprised by the 1-star review given that the matter has now been resolved and the replacement item is on its way.
If there is anything further we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
