We have used Howe Surveyors twice recently due to buyers pulling out of buying our house. Jonathan Howe has been more than helpful each time , very thorough and extremely detailed with each survey.
Not only has he provided an excellence service he has offered to meet and discuss any issues with each survey. He is always at the end of the phone at anytime to discuss any concerns and or to give advice .
I would highly recommend Howe Surveyors as they are extremely helpful very thorough and the after care is first class.
Many thanks again Jonathan.

Jonathan was very professional from start to finish. He did not try and ‘upsell’ and told us that a level 2 was more than adequate for our requirements. The survey was comprehensive and he spent time with me to ensure I fully understood what was contained and what options I had. His knowledge as a surveyor and previously a builder was very evident.
I would recommend his services to anyone considering purchasing a property in the area

Jonathan provided an excellent service, which included a clear, detailed and comprehensive survey report. His report made clear things which we really needed to consider further before buying the property based on his experience as a surveyor and also previously as a builder. He was also very happy to meet with us in-person to discuss his findings and gave us loads of additional advice and suggestions. We found Jonathan to be very personable and easy to talk with, which made the whole process enjoyable as well as professional.

I meant to write this months ago after Johnathan did the survey but life took over and I forgot. I would 100% recommend Johnathan's services. He undertook a level 2 survey for us after asking us for further details on the house - age, location etc to make sure it was the right level. I understand that Johnathan spent a significant amount of time on-site, using his past experience as a builder to identify potential issues. He was extremely thorough and provided considered responses as opposed to just covering his own back. All of the remediation work was risk-rated so we could easily see which would need to be tackled first. Johnathan took his time to explain issues to us and made sure we understood them. The report and his service was definitely above and beyond.

I contacted Howe Surveyors to provide a Level 2 home survey. They replied promptly and provided transparent pricing and a full explanation of what would be included and the difference between level 2 and 3 surveys to be certain I was receiving appropriate information.
Communication throughout has been courteous, timely and professional.
The survey took place on the date advised and followed up with a brief telephone conversation to give me a summary before the full report was provided a few days later.
I feel Fortunate to have engaged the services if this firm. Johnathan has made himself available to answer numerous questions, helping to provide a balanced outlook on the report as well as offer advice about the most pressing matters to address.
I was keen to have an independent survey undertaken rather than have a surveyor recommended by an agent who could possibly provide a more bias outlook.
I would not hesitate to recommend this firm.

Jonathan went above and beyond supporting myself with a snagging report for a new build. Thorough and detailed explanations put me at ease with his findings, also supporting me in discussions with construction director was the icing on the cake. No hesitation to recommend and will be my go to surveyor for our next property.

Johnathan did an extremely thorough survey for us on our listed property. His professionalism, ease of communication and thoroughness is brilliant. I would recommend him 100%.

We recently used Johnathan’s services on a house purchase and we found him to be excellent. He is extremely thorough and goes through matters with you so you know precisely the risks you are taking on. Johnathan’s fees are also very reasonable and his services represent excellent value for money. We will definitely be using Johnathan in future - his previous experience as a builder is invaluable and he is completely on your side.

I cannot speak highly enough of Johnathon. Knowing he was always there for me on the phone when I was unsure, hugely eased the stress of buying a home.
Johnathon’s subject knowledge was outstanding. His survey was incredibly thorough, highlighting all defects regarding the property and even recommending how contractors could rectify all issues. Anything I didn’t understand he would patiently explain in clear detail to the point where I was very secure in my understanding and decisions.
I am recommending Johnathon to all my friends and family and would highly recommend him to all.

We were quoted by three surveyors for our survey on a 200 year old property and having spoken to each of them, we felt that Johnathan had the greatest understanding of what would be required for such a property. How right we were. The survey was extraordinarily comprehensive and pulled no punches. Follow up phone calls and a meeting were very productive and helpful in moving us forward. Add to that how personable Johnathan is and we really cannot recommend him highly enough. A real professional.

Don't know much about surveyors/surveying but Jonathan seemed thorough enough to me. Very clear report and I appreciated the follow-up call to talk me through it afterwards.

Very happy with the service - professional and helpful, followed up the survey with not only a detailed report but also a phone call which we found very useful.
Would recommend.

Johnathan produced a level 2 home buying report for my parents this year , and we couldn’t be more impressed with the service. From start to finish, the communication was clear, professional, and friendly. The surveyor arrived on time, explained the process in detail, and produced an incredibly thorough report that was easy to understand.

The level of detail gave us real confidence in proceeding with the purchase — he highlighted key areas to monitor but also reassured me where everything was in good condition. The turnaround was quick too, with the report delivered sooner than expected.

It’s rare to find a company that combines expertise, efficiency, and genuine care for their clients, but he absolutely delivered. I’d recommend Johnathan to anyone looking for a reliable and professional home survey!

I was buying a grade 1 listed apartment and knew nothing whats so ever about buying a listed building.
I contacted Johnathan and he gave me a competitive price and spent a lot of time explain everything he would be checking.
The report was quite a document and a bit overwhelming with what the things he found. However Johnathan spent a lot of time on the phone going through it.
Because of the concerns raised in the report I decided not to proceed with purchase. The seller then decided to allow further investigations into the issues. Again Johnathan was in hand to organize a joiner to be onsite to pull up floorboards to allow further inspections by Johnathan.
Professional, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely wants to help you. Johnathan's help was invaluable I cant recommend him enough
