Amy Conroy from Howdens, Witney arranged the renewal of my car Insurance. I was very pleased with the service I received. She was thorough and very knowledgeable and thorough. I have moved over to Howdens in the last 12 months as my go to Insurance Brokers. I have dealt with different departments for various insurances and the whole experience is very satisfying to know that nothing is too much trouble.

In my opinion Howdens in Maidenhead is the worst company to deal with. Have had an insurance claim outstanding since January and still nowhere near to being resolved. They hooked us up with Accelerant a company who have no morals and a history of not paying out. I have no idea why they would put anybody through a company like this. They stopped returning calls and emails and gave a ridiculous quote to reinsure the property. They have been very happy to take money for insurance for over 40 years and in that time there has been one very small claim.

I WOULD ABSOLUTELY GIVE THIS COMPANY A ZERO IF I COULD

We have been with Howden’s Insurance Brokers for some years now. During that time we have always dealt with knowledgeable and friendly staff who have done their very best to get us a good quotation for buildings and contents insurance. We are shortly moving house and Kimberley Phillips at Macclesfield branch was excellent in cancelling our existing policy and setting up a revised policy for our new home. She was very thorough and professional but also had a great sense of humour which made the task a lot less arduous. Thank you Kimberley for all your kind support and for working beyond closing time to get the job done. Much appreciated!

I was insured through Howdens with a large insurance company. I informed Howdens of the loss of my hearing aid snd I was dealt with sympathy and with care. They passed me over to the insurance company but in stead of leaving it at that, Tony made contact with me twice until he was assured I had a good result from the insurance company.

Best insurance broker I have every dealt with a guy called Gary went above and beyond to sort cover for my custom motorbikes

Samuel Riley was extremely helpful and very polite and easy to deal with when arranging our new car cover. It wasn't a straightforward request either and he dealt with it with absolutely no issues at all.

We have used Howdens formally A Plan for over 35 years .. First class service every time and will always endeavour to price match. We can not fault then used the. For personal and our business .

Only getting one star because there isn't an option to give zero.Ever since our broker was bought out by Howden's they have been worse than useless. we have been asking for weeks to insure a new premises we take over this week, just a continual tale of holidays, personal problems and excuses. do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Oliwer @ Howdens has been great for this years renewal, we have had our Camper insured with Howdens for 4 years now and they have been good to deal with. Their insurance renewals are not usually out by the market much at all and they do their best to get to a price that works for us both which I appreciate.

Hopefully I never have to claim, but everything else I have had to do through them has been great.

Will continue to use Oliwer if the premiums are competitive as the service has always been good.

The only negative thing is they operate the same hours as most people work, 8-5, you can catch them on a Saturday morning though which is good.

Callum Frost at Howdens insurance.co.uk at Altrincham was incredible, not only did he provide an excellent service but he also took the time to explain my car insurance renewal in detail. His commitment to ensuring I was satisfied throughout the process was remarkable, he was very friendly and very helpful throughout and made the process smooth. Callum saved me just under £115, I was going to go elsewhere for my renewal but even though the cost was slightly more than online insurance I decided to stay with Howdens Altrincham after the personal service that I received from Callum. Please thank him for his excellent service and give him a Gold star 🌟.

Despite having a poor experience when first changed from A-Plan to Howdens and I parted ways 2023 due to their poor customer value after many years as their customer I am pleased to say I am now a customer once again thanks to Kyle whom took on board my past experience and has been nothing but attentive and patient with my initial enquiry. Kyle has looked after my personal & business requirements for car insurance keeping me informed all the way via email and telephone. I recommend this company 100%. Thank you.

When we needed our cracked car windscreen replacing urgently as we were due to go on holiday, Ted Nicholas at the Leamington Spa branch provided us with a professional service, persevering patiently to get us booked in much more quickly (next day) than at the time we were first offered, which was 9 days hence. An all-round good service. Thank you, Ted.

I have been a Howdens customer for nearly 30 years but after today never again! I rang for a quote for my new car their quote was ridiculous £770 (I am 62 years old full no claims) And to add insult to injury they are charging me £50 to cancel my policy! From of a policy that cost £340 just 5 months ago I’m getting a £76 refund!!!! I went onto Compare the Market got my insurance for £340 WITH AA cover! So the moral of this tale is shop on line don’t trust a business you have been loyal to over many years as it really doesn’t pay! Howdens deserve to go out of business and I hope they do and won’t rip people off anymore!

Spoke to Jack Evans @ Southampton today and very clear and helpful on finding the best policy on my home insurance for the best price.

Motordirect branch of Howden insure our Motorhome. All the staff I have dealt with have been helpful. The phone is answered quickly. I have spoken with Kelsea and both Vicky’s. They answer all questions clearly and nothing is too much trouble to explain.

Excellent customer service. Dealt with Kesh who went out of his way to help and nothing was a problem which is rare nowadays.
