I have had support from start to finish with Housesit match. I joined the community, posted a request for a house and dog sitter and then went through the procedure of choosing someone to finally going on holiday. I was supported all the way. The house sitter was excellent. I had total confidence which made my life so much easier. My dogs loved her too.

I've been housesitting for 15 years and this is the first time I have housesat through HouseSit Match. Excellent personal support when a minor glitch occurred. Communication through the site was easy. I highly recommend!

We, and particularly the dogs and poultry, were unbelievably lucky that Lamia came and held the fort. She arrived the evening before so I could show her everything…this was not only helpful but very reassuring. We quickly realised that all would be in extremely capable hands and that we could enjoy our time away completely confident that animals would be very well cared for. Lamia went above and beyond animal care, (including our 8 four day old chicks) to freezing copious amounts of raspberries, watering plants and nothing seemed to faze her. She can come back anytime!!

We joined House Sit Match fairly early on near its' start. Since then they've grown, but not been spoiled. It still has the warm, friendly feel that business owner, Lamia Walker, gives it. We had several sitters for the few trips we have made over the years (old age slows you down!). They were all great & trustworthy. Sadly this cannot be said for other sites. Our priority has always been to find sitters who genuinely love animals, not people out for a freebie. We can highly recommend House Sit Match as the premier choice.

It’s very good to be able to discuss your requirements on the phone with Lamia, the director. She was very helpful with putting together our advert, advising on wording etc which was great as we had not used a Housesitter agency before. It’s a friendly and easy-to-use service and we received prompt responses from prospective Housesitters.

Sherel and John looked after Harry early April.They sent photos and mails to inform us how he was getting on.My neighbours tell us Harry had plenty of walks.Sherel and John are very nice people and we highly recommend them as excellent sitters

I have used HouseSitMatch both as a pet sitter and home owner. My most recent experience as with all the previous ones was excellent. I like the fact that when joining I could speak to Lamia and she was able to give me very useful information and help if I needed it. It’s a great system and works very well to connect home owners and pet sitters. All have to be security checked which gives great confidence especially when leaving someone you’ve never met with your house and pets. I would highly recommend housesitmatch and will continue to use them myself.

Housesitmatch is big enough to offer plenty of wonderful opportunities both in the UK and Europe especially, but small enough to be personal and friendly. The availability of Lamia the owner of the site is really unique. Her willingness to help out one to one is a great encouragement and support to beginners especially, be they a house owner or sitter. I am both a house exchanger since 2000 and house sitter since the mid 2010's, so I speak with a lot of experience. Be patient and you will be delighted with the results.

Currently I'm working in a grad scheme for a small company, and so I've found finding a place to stay in air BnB or a hotel for a week, out of my budget.

Someone who's used the site before recommended it to and so I had a look, and found a great little house sit on the edge of Bristol, looking after two little dogs for a week.

Getting in was super easy, and the owner gave a whistle stop tour of the house which perfectly set us up for an easy and relaxed week.

The house was on a lovely and quiet street which made a nice change, and allowed for some lovely walks to the local parks.

The week went by very peacefully and without incident and I have to recommend House Sit Match, as an excellent vendor for finding great little getaways!

Since my first experience, I been on another weekend away and will keep a look out in the future.

An excellent website. Easy to use with extremely good customer service. I sent a query to the Director of the site and she responded very quickly with a very helpful reply. I found a wonderful cat sitter and intend to use HouseSitMatch in the future. Highly recommended.

Post retirement, with time flexibility, I'm attracted to the low out of pocket cost of a housesit. I was a bit anxious to start, but the HSM website made it incredibly easy to find and set up a match. The administrative side was clear and covered the right issues, but not at all burdensome. All the advance prep was straightforward. Then, when I arrived at the house, I could not have been more pleased. The houseowner left clear instructions so I knew exactly what my role was. The house itself was a dream: lovely, quiet, comfortable, well equipped, and centrally located. Because of this service, I was able to travel and have a much-needed new experience.
