Brilliant family run business. Friendly staff. Good knowledge on craft beer and cider. Wouldn’t shop anywhere else for our alcohol. Good value for money. If you can’t find anything they always happy to help look for something specific you was looking for.

A charming hidden gem, tucked away in Hemel Hempstead. The beer range is about the same size as a local supermarket. However, the cider, craft beer and larger on sale are not what you'll usually find on the shelves of most regular shops. What's more it's not likely to be from familiar brands, which means you'll get a taste of the exotic. Tony and Tracy seem to know their stuff about the beer and cider they sell, and they try to source a variety that's appealing to all drinkers and real ale connoisseurs. They are both friendly and very approachable people and may attempt to source craft beers and ciders not on sale if asked.

Great local beer and cider shop in Hemel Hempstead. Has a ever changing selection of craft beer, traditional ales, lagers, sour beers, cider etc. Staff are very friendly and will help to source beers and cider for you. Also sell wine and gin.

I love the Aladdin’s cave that is the Hops & Apples shop but if you can’t get there then check out the website and let the bottles come to you.

What a great local shop this is, selling a hugely varied selection of beers, ciders and spirits. Tracey and Tony are friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they do and why they do it, and out of the beers I’ve tried there’s been some absolute gems.

Highly recommended.

Vast range of craft beers and ciders, adding new lines all the time. Exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable customer service from the owners. We won’t go anywhere else. Long may they continue. Support local and enjoy a wonderful extensive selection of quality grown up beverages!
Dog friendly too, so if you’re out on walkies duty there’s no excuse not to pop in.

Visiting this shop has become my little Friday treat. Lovely owners who always take the time for a chat. A great selection of beer and really good prices. They've also got their own beer which is very much the taste of a Friday. I can't recommend this shop enough. It's businesses like this we need to support, if we don't they'll dissappear and that will be a real shame.

I have used this lovely little shop for gifts for hubby since it opened. The last two years at christmas they have produced amazing advent calendars to order, often pop by for anniversary/birthday gifts, Tracy is brilliant, not at all pushy but so helpful and knowledgeable and it feels so good to support a local business. Pop in!

Amazing little local business. Always happy to go the extra mile for their customers. There is such a wide range of products and they also support other local businesses/suppliers. Everyone should give them a go.

We came in here when visiting relatives in Hemel. Excellent customer service. The lovely couple who run this shop helped us pick the right beers to suit our taste. We also purchased a fabulous bottle of gin for Christmas. If your lucky to be in the area you must give them a visit. But they also sell on line. I must mention their very cute dog too.

Hops and apples is very friendly and helpful will do anything for you and will do they very best to find you your favourite drink if they haven’t got it in. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now to buy my alcohol they deserve all the best of luck so please support them
