I’ve been speaking with a young lady called Nicola & she was very professional about my situation I can only think highly of her Everything has been resolved & i am one happy person
They are honestly pathetic
They are honestly pathetic. I would not recommend them to anyone. It’s I’m possibly to get ahold of them because of this dumb AI that they have introduced that says they out of hour at 11am, it is a joke . They have been over charging be for the pass 3 months and they acknowledge this and they promise it will be sorted out, 3 months later they are now overcharging me and charging for months I’ve already paid. And I refuse to pay them anymore money until they sort this out.

Smooth and fast. Feels a bit pricey, but given that this is a short-term rent for me, I'm willing to foot this bill for the convenience of easy management.
A Complete Nightmare - Avoid at All Costs!
If your letting agent tells you Homebox is their "designated partner" and pressures you to use them, PLEASE refuse. Setting up your own energy accounts takes 30 minutes, but handing control over to Homebox will result in an endless nightmare. I have waited over a year to write this review out of fear they would withhold my money, but I am finally free and want to warn others.
Here is why you should never use their services:
Aggressive Onboarding & Pointless Fees: They relentlessly contacted me to take over my bills. You end up paying them a £15/month management fee just to cause yourself endless trouble.
Gross Overcharging & Threats: I lived in a single studio where my actual usage (including standing charges) was under £50/month. Homebox mismanaged my account, failed to complete my price review, and continuously charged me £110/month for half a year. I built up a massive amount of credit, yet they kept taking money. If you try to block the direct debit to protect your finances, they will threaten you with warnings and legal action.
Unauthorized Provider Changes: Completely without my consent, they switched my electricity supplier from British Gas to Rebel Energy (the company that notoriously went bust).
Total Loss of Control: Because your energy is registered under their management account, the energy suppliers will refuse to speak to you directly. You are completely at Homebox's mercy when things go wrong, and they never resolve your issues promptly.
Withheld Credit & Missing Funds: When Rebel Energy collapsed, my account had £400 in credit. I had to wait an agonizing ONE AND A HALF YEARS for a refund. Even worse, they only returned £300, claiming that was the amount on the bill. Even when I managed to get my actual bill from Rebel Energy proving the £400 credit and sent it to them, they ignored it. I lost £100 for absolutely no reason.
They take away your control, overcharge you, make unauthorized changes, and hold onto your money. Save yourself the stress, keep control of your own home, and set up your bills directly with the suppliers. Using Homebox was a huge disaster.

Worst service ever
If i could give a lower star i would, i would not recommend this company to my worst enemy! My daughter has been paying Homebox since October. She is being chased by Octopus for payment. I have been promised on several occasions they will pay the money but 5 months on and nothing has been paid. They no longer answer the phone as an AI bot takes the call and nobody calls me back. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE

Trying to get someone to call you back when you have a query or issue is the absolute worst.
The AI keeps saying out of hours please call back or raise a ticket still waiting.
