Trading Standards contact

After a recommendation from a family member who'd used Hollycroft Roofing I decided to use the company to install a new roof to my property. I assumed everything had been done correctly. Five months later one of the roof tiles had fallen off so I tried to contact Hollycroft Roofing, but there was no reply from either the landline or mobile numbers. A few weeks later Leicestershire County Council Trading Standards contacted me asking for details about the roof replace ent. It transpired that Hollycroft Roofing were under investigation for not adhering to building regulation paperwork. I was told to employ a surveyor to check the work as it hadn't been signed off as legally required. Upon further investigation Trading Standards told me the owner of Hollycroft Roofing was under police investigation due to complaints from previous clients over roofing work. I'm still in discussion with Trading Standards who told me that they're not surprised that I'm unable to contact the company due to irregularities. I'm in the position now where I distrust the majority of the building trade in this country and I advise anyone seeking building contractors to thoroughly research and pay due diligence to the highest level, obtain references and more than three recommendations from previous clients of the company they choose.

Hollycroft Roofing repaired my roof as…

Hollycroft Roofing repaired my roof as a leak was causing damp in one of our bedrooms. They did a first class job for £600 after I received a quote from another local company who quoted me £4'200 and said I need a complete new roof! Hollycroft Roofing are a genuine honest company and i highly recommend them.10/10..Ian Smith Burbage.

Great work

Phoned hollycroft roofing to look at a repair for me. my roof was leaking bad and I needed someone quickly. They repaired the roof the next day and now it no longer leaks
