Hodmedod's Great British Beans and Peas Anmeldelser 

I love Hodmedod's wide range of british whole foods. First time I have ever seen any British Chia Seeds, something I incorporate into my smoothies everyday. I love the fact they team up with farmers to produce foods not commonly grown in UK, only place I have seen organic british grown lentils. Prices are acceptable too. Thank you I am very grateful.

Have been buying oats, rye, pulses and snacks from this company for years.
What is amazing is that through them I have learnt about how important it is to support companies like this which are taking agriculture in the right direction.
Always amazing service and always delivered on time with quality products. Have never had any issues with Hodmedod's.

Brilliant! My favourites are the green lentils and chickpeas. Also enjoy the Carlin peas. In the tins I have only had the Carlin peas and haricot beans, and they were great, and very useful to have in. Hubby likes the chia seeds in his porridge.

This is the second order that I have had from Hodmedod's. In both orders I was receiving bread which my mother ordered online from abroad. It goes without saying this is a kind gesture and I am grateful for it. A small draw back of this is that I did not receive the tracking information directly but from my mother passing it along.

My first impressions of this company are that they are good company which offer a wide selection of grains, pulses, and bread at a fairly good value. They uphold ethics in their business- even down the discount card they gave me which is made with environmentally friendly ink.

This is my experience with Hodmedod's; In both orders my mother forwarded an email from DPD saying the bread would arrive on the day that the bread was baked and in both cases the bread showed up the day after.

The most recent time I emailed the company explaining the situation and asking for tracking information so I could know where the order was and be sure not to miss it. In the reply I did not get any tracking information but an explanation of the shipping policies saying they hoped I would receive the bread safely the following day. The reply was finalized by a comment about how lovely for my mom to send me bread. Perhaps the comment was well intended but seeing as the email didn't actually give me any tracking information I interpreted it to be more patronizing and unnecessary.

My thoughts are firstly that the bread is great but I imagine would be even better on the day it was baked. This is no fault of the company. However, I think there is room for improvement in the management of expectations; it's disappointing and stressful to receive an email about the delivery arriving on one day to have arrive the day after- especially if you are dealing with a 1 hour time slot.

Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, I wish that Hodmedod's just gave me a direct answer when I asked about tracking information; it would have put my mind at ease made for a more enjoyable experience.

The bottom line is I would recommend Hodmedod's for good bread- especially if you are live locally and you don't have to stress about shipping. I would encourage Hodmedod's to consider ways they could hand customer inquiries in more direct ways in the future.

Excellent service! Despite Coronavirus wiping their stock I received my flour and pulses after a short delay - no fault of the company - great quality, well packaged and a lovely choice of food products.

Nothing but good to say here:
1. Organic, sustainable food supporting local producers.
2. British-grown: fewer food miles, more local economy wins!
3. Very tasty, high-quality grains and pulses – the Carlin peas, the fava umami paste, the quinoa, the naked barley flakes and whole grain spelt are all DELICIOUS. And ecologically sound. And nourishing. And the tinned beans are super-convenient.
4. Packed in recyclable/compostable packaging.
5. Packed well, delivered promptly with named packer and personal note.
6. Great recipe suggestions.
7. Not least: fantastically good value. Free delivery over £30 (as at time of writing) and really economical for high-quality protein from British farmers.

Along with Riverford, Clearspring and the like, Hodmedod's is changing the food game into something to be proud of.

Ordered a big vegan box so I could try out all the different products, box arrived quickly, was packed perfectly and also got a lovely handwritten note saying hoped I enjoyed my order. There were also beautiful postcards and lots of useful recipes included. Even staunch meat eaters in my house thoroughly enjoyed the food and I enjoyed experimenting and trying out new recipes too
