Hinksey Labs has been a great opportunity for me to expand my knowledge of business research. From the start, my mentor Simon Kotlerman has been very thorough in teaching us key concepts, which we then apply to real markets and our own research to reinforce our understanding. Overall, the program is engaging, unique, and not something many students have access to, and I am very grateful to be a part of it.

My time at Hinksey Labs has been nothing short of rewarding and exciting, as the hands-on nature of our learning makes our research projects easier to understand and enjoyable. My mentor, Sunny Ubale, has been amazing because he explains concepts in a way that our group can grasp and actually apply to real-world scenarios and our chosen company of interest. The program consists of several small cohorts, allowing for frequent exchanges of ideas between peers and mentors as a guide to ensure that concepts are communicated and fully understood. Mr. Ubale and others in Hinksey Labs are always open to feedback and questions, and they are always putting students’ learning first. This research opportunity is completely worth it, and I highly recommend you take the opportunity to join.

My experience with Hinksey Labs has been super fun and educational. I came into this program hoping to deepen my knowledge of business and research, and this program did not disappoint. The group sessions allow for a lot of interaction and create a comfortable space to ask questions. My mentor is always open to questions and feedback, and has really helped me expand my knowledge of the business field. He offers valuable insights, and I am able to learn from my peers as well. I am so grateful I got to be part of this program, and I highly recommend that anyone interested in business (no matter how much previous experience or knowledge you have) join this amazing program.

I’ve had the pleasure of being a mentor at Hinksey Labs, and I can say the programme is truly unique in its ability to bring together exceptional young students and equip them with the tools to develop an in-depth understanding of business in a refreshing, hands-on way. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the students and have been genuinely inspired by them.

Hinksey Labs has been an amazing experience that has helped me learn more about business and research at the same time. The program is very well structured, and the resources and classes they offer are very insightful and easy to follow. They not only explain theoretical concepts, but also show how they apply in real-world situations, which makes the learning process much more meaningful. One of my favorite parts are the team assignments we do, because they really help us understand the material and put it into practice while collaborating with other students. Working in teams has also helped me improve my communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Another aspect I really like are the expert sessions. The first session gave us a wider range of possibilities to choose the company we would investigate, and it helped us think more critically about different industries and business models. The second expert session was with Olivia Zhang, which was incredibly inspiring, because we got to listen and talk to someone who has been extremely successful and is close to our age range. Hearing her background story, the challenges she faced, and how she overcame them made the experience even more valuable. Being able to ask her questions directly and receive advice was an awesome and motivating experience.

I recommend this program to all teenagers who are interested in business and research, and want to learn more about it. It is truly a great opportunity to learn from really talented mentors, gain practical skills, and get inspired to start your own business or non-profit. Overall, it is a program that not only teaches you academic concepts, but also builds confidence, curiosity, and a stronger mindset for future projects and opportunities.

My experience with Hinksey Labs has been enriching, interactive, and most importantly, fun. My mentor Sunny has been exceptional. The way he explains topics has genuinely helped me throughout my research process. The course is structured to avoid lengthy lectures, and with a small cohort, there is plenty of back-and-forth discussion. The activities are designed so that we practice new concepts shortly after learning them, which reinforces active recall and deeper understanding. Sunny is always open to feedback, which makes the mentors very approachable and nothing like the intimidating professor dynamic you might be used to. Hinksey Labs clearly prioritizes its students and, remarkably, even offers the opportunity to publish research which is something most undergraduates never get access to. If you have the chance to be a part of this program, seize it. You won't regret it.

I am a 10th grader who lives in NYC. I had a super busy summer, but this program was able to fit right in. Because it is virtual, there is much flexibility. I did the four week program and learned so much from each session. I was then able to apply all that I learned to analyze NVIDIA and write up a research report. This gave me foundational research skills and knowledge about the business world. Would highly recommend to all high school students (even if you have a busy summer already)!

Hinksey Labs is an amazing educational experience! I went into Hinksey with a little background on business, but after the program, I can confidently say I have the tools necessary to take the next step in business. The group sessions were very helpful and detailed, which aided in my research project. My favorite part, however, was when we presented our research to a group of panelists. I cannot express how grateful I am for this amazing experience and hope everyone give Hinksey Labs a chance!

Hinksey Labs was an incredible experience that deepened my understanding of research and business. I especially enjoyed working with real businesses and creating actual deliverables, including a presentation and research paper, on an interesting topic about the organization of my choosing. The expert sessions were also a highlight, offering valuable insight into how professionals think and operate in their fields. Overall, the program was engaging, inspiring, and an amazing opportunity for growth.

I joined Hinksey Labs as an expert to share insights from my experience running a start-up in the HealthTech space. It was great to see how engaged the students were - they are clearly getting a good foundational understanding of business through Hinksey, and I’m excited to see where they will in the future!

I have to confess, I sat in on a few of the sessions with him, and they were extremely well organized and interactive. My boyfriend and I were both fortunate to be admitted to Hinksey Labs together, as we wanted to deepen our understanding of research, business, and social impact. The program absolutely delivered. It was a learning experience unlike anything else - we produced high-quality research with support at every step, and the custom platform along with the innovative use of Notion were unlike anything I’d seen before. Highly recommend!

My main goal in joining Hinksey Labs was to learn how to apply MBA tools to real business challenges. I’ve always enjoyed research, but felt I needed a stronger foundation.
