Betrug

Jahrelang habe ich meinen Account ausschließlich über Guthabenkarten aufgeladen, jeweils im Voraus für ein ganzes Jahr. Umso unverständlicher ist es für mich, dass mein Konto plötzlich gesperrt wurde, obwohl sich noch ein Guthaben von 70 € darauf befand.

Faktisch bedeutet das, dass mir ein bereits bezahlter Betrag entzogen wurde – ohne Rückerstattung und ohne eine nachvollziehbare Erklärung. Weder per E-Mail noch telefonisch konnte mir bis heute schlüssig mitgeteilt werden, weshalb es zu dieser Sperre gekommen ist.

Aus diesem Grund habe ich mich entschieden, Netflix dauerhaft nicht mehr zu nutzen.

Your Advert supported plan is not supported in your region

I have the Your Advert supported plan is not available from your region, I am within the UK the IP lookup for the IP address shows the registered information for my Public IP address is in the UK also verified by IP2Location.
The Customer services agent says its an issue with the ISP even though I supplied information to the agent that the issue is on Netflix systems not the IP address, The agent also demanded that the issue was also WIFI related but the fire cube is hard wired but still demanded that its a WIFI and IP issue.

The agent has no idea about IT, the internet or how IP address location services work, the advice given was to use my mobile data and not the FTTP broadband whilst the ISP sorted out the issue that would be impossible as its a NETFLIX problem, so frustrating when dealing with people that have no idea about IT systems and when they are reading from a script.

Not much help

Awful! All the time when opening the app it would ask me to sign in, even after 30 seconds, I tried getting help, they wasn't helpful at all. This is a service I feel I shouldn't be paying for. It's annoying and time consuming.

Excellent service from Netflix Help

I recently was unfortunate enough to have my account hacked. As soon as I realised, I got straight on the phone to Netflix Help. The person I spoke to was brilliant. They had a very calming voice and helped me regain control of my account, change my email address and password, kick the hacker out of all active logins, and talked me through removing the extra profiles created. Furthermore, the hacker had upgraded the account to premium, and the person helping me on the phone has arranged to correct my subscription and have the difference that I'd been charged refunded. I'm so glad I got through to who I did. I can't thank them enough!

I just had a issue logging into my…

I just had a issue logging into my Netflix account.
I contact support after changing password multiple times, without gaining access to my account.
(Kept telling me to wait a few minutes and try again.)

I proceed to contact support, and get setup with a person in most likely India, while being in Sweden!
The grammar differences are huge! Especially if the agent has no English grammar to speak of!
(I know i not perfect, but I believe I am capable of communicating without to many miss understandings.)

I explain my situation and tell him,
This is the exact message I send him!
“Its not letting anyone login to our account. It started with 1, because of multiple attempts with different passwords, we reset the password to be sure we had the right password. Now we are all locked out! Now no one can log back in!”
(Direct message)

His response!
“Have no worries! I can help you with changing your password”

I respond fast.

“No!”

“I already changed it multiple times”

“I want help getting access to my account due to your technical issues.”

He responds!

“No worries! I will help you with that!”

“Can you tell me what kind of card you have used for your account?”

I respond!

“Mastercard”

He responds!

“Thank you! I have send you a formula where you are to put in the card number used to make the subscription”

I respond!

“I will not share such details with support! Do you have another way”

After a little bit back and forth he moves past the card verification we settled on the phone number connected to it.
And send a code that I verify.

After all this!
He responds with!

“There! I have deleted the account and refunded the 199sek”

I respond!

“What?”

“When did I ever ask you to do that?”

“Why would you just delete my account?”

He responds!

“My mistake! I’m very sorry!”

“ it happend by mistake!”

(All his responses are in broken grammar! I will send a direct response from him after this)

(“ I'm really sorry I can help you by mistakenly it was happen please kindly understand.”

I strongly recommend people to start checking who runs the support for the service you intend to buy from!
In the future I will start looking for that part of the product!
(Atleast have a local (American or UK based) support agency that are open in a specific time and day. So they can look over the outsourced support cases.
(Leaving your support in the hands of a 3 world country because you want to save money, is bad money saved!
It will leave your shop with extremely many unsatisfied customers that will jump ship at the first opportunity or alternative.)

It keeps telling me I’m travelling and…

It keeps telling me I’m travelling and asking me to verify with an email. I’m not travelling, I’m just opening Netflix on my phone. The phone that’s right next to the main devices in the same house, city and country.

Tried getting some support, the guide kept asking me to restart the device. I had to explain multiple times that this wouldn’t do anything since I already validated with the email code. Then I had to explain again that this happens only with the phone and that I am in the same location as the rest of the devices.

The agent assured me to accept the “we won’t ask you to validate again for 14 days” message and ignore it because it won’t ask me again. When I said it’s been happening for months now, the guide asked if I’ve been travelling after I already explained I hadn’t.

I gave up. I’ll just need to validate every two weeks because they can’t fix their issue.
