Disappointing visit made worse by complete lack of customer service.

I visited the Cambridge branch on 5 August 2026 with my son and partner after spending the day exploring Cambridge.

Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. We had to ask twice for a simple glass of water, our desserts and drinks arrived over an extended period rather than together, my son's dessert was forgotten altogether until we reminded staff, and an optional service charge had been added. Unfortunately we paid before consuming anything as I was redeeming a gift voucher and had to pay at the counter, which was eventful in itself.

I was also disappointed by the condition of the toilets, and the displayed cleaning record appeared incomplete.

What has disappointed me even more has been the complete lack of customer service afterwards.
I submitted a formal complaint through Heavenly Desserts' website on 5 August and received only an automated acknowledgement. I followed it up on 14 August, contacted the Cambridge branch directly on 20 August, and also sent a direct message via Instagram. As of 23 September, I have still not received a single response from a member of staff - only automated acknowledgements.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a business to acknowledge and respond to a complaint, particularly after multiple attempts to make contact over a period of seven weeks.

I have retained copies of my correspondence, receipt and supporting photographs throughout the process.

It is the complete absence of any customer service that has ultimately led me to leave this review.

This is about the heavenly dessert in Preston town centre.
I had a bad experience before but I have decided to give it another chance after a whole year, but still they didn’t change. I don’t know how this place is in business.
Very slow service, wrong orders and incomplete orders. We were two adults and two children. We ordered four different dishes, first it was a Friday evening 7pm, half of their items are finished, so we have to withdraw one of the dishes and then after half an hour, they just put one adult’s dish on the table with wrong order and leave without specifying what item is it means ; normal or gluten free. The kids got so bored waiting for half an hour that they started eating the food. Then when we complained and asked for the manager, there was no one to come and talk to us, after a while the second item came but the third one was still in the making, so we cancelled it and get ourselves out from there. This is our last time going there.

This service is gone down hill, once upom a time 9pm would be very busy , no noise quiet room. All no gluten is not available anymore only low gluten, not many options before we had a seprate menu definately wont be coming back had custard and strawberries and choclate which wasnt appetising , before we have crepe and waffle available . Even drinks came in plastic cup no passion fruit was provided .Not happy

The staff in Southampton were really warm and welcoming! The dessert were amazing and reasonably priced and they had a 10% discount for students

Food was ok, slow service. Put off by the 'chef' asking us to write a good review so he could get a bonus.

Ealing branch … pathetic service.. food quality good as usual but very bad services. Late seating despite not being very busy, more interested in serving takeaways. Staff not very trained . Hostess took time to seat us and then tooke ages to take our order. Then order took much longer than usual and when came time for payment , even longer wait.. need better servers, staff
Hounslow branch is so much better but Ealing ine is pathetic. Never returning!!

Excellent customer service. Very accommodating and fantastic menu choices. The smells of chocolate made us very happy. They made our children's experience special.

Basildon….Wrong from the start. Terrible service. There were 4 of us and all the orders arrived 5 minutes apart. There were 5 people in the kitchen and 3 more to serve the tables, and even so they couldn't deliver the order on time. There was an extra person who seemed to be the manager but for God's sake didn't know what to do.

Just ordered from the Bedford store via Uber Eats. I ordered hot savoury food as well as a warm chocolate torte which arrived cold. I don’t think it was ever heated. The warm savoury food arrived in boxes which felt warm whereas the box containing the torte was cold. The savouries were nice but the torte was claggy and after one mouthful it went straight into the bin. I even spat that mouthful into the bin. The torte tasted vegan thought its not listed as being so.

The main issue isn't necessarily the actual desserts, but the prices. £2.25 for strawberries. You get 2. 2 strawberries for £2.25. Want a bit of extra sauce, sure, another £2.25! Want a single scoop of ice cream, £3! please. So, a 'croffle' which is a croissant on a waffle iron + all of the above is about £13.50. A complete rip off.

Don’t ever bother going. Worst possible customer service. Whether you go earlier then the closing time or at the time, you will always be told ‘no seating’. We decided to take away instead, with no surprises, we were told your order will take too long, still interested in ordering? Not worth the wait, wasted time, fuel and instead was disappointed. They just lost customers.

My partner and I have eaten here a few times and have found the deserts really are heavenly! Staff are friendly and accommodating to us.

I came here 2 weeks ago with my family and we were served by such a kind, generous, and caring girl called Sahra. She made our experience truly memorable and we will definitely be back again!😊

I have been frequenting the BATH restaurant on many occasions and have always found the stall helpful and friendly.
The vegetarian brunch is my favourite.
It’s delicious and is the perfect daytime meal.
As for the desserts, OMG. I don’t have enough positive words to express how deliciously yummy they are.
The monkey bread is awesome and my go to when I can’t make up my mind.
As all food is cooked fresh for you it may take longer than expected however patience is the key and you won’t be disappointed.
I urge you to make your way to your nearest Delicious Desserts restaurant and tuck in.
You will be amazed by their quality made food suitable for all be it carnivores, vegetarian or vegan.

Poor service at the Moseley Birmingham branch. Ordered a mocktail 3 quarters was filled with ice with so much foam at top.

What a lovely restaurant! I went to the restaurant in Southampton with family today. This restaurant has such a cozy and charming atmosphere. The owner of the restaurant welcomed us with a lovely smile and we were served by the friendly staffs named Alan, Zilu and Abdur Rahman. From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home. The warm lighting, rustic decor, and comfortable seating make it an ideal place for a relaxed meal. The food was really outstanding! Every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I really suggest the Iced Rose & Lychee Martini and Saffron Milk Cake. Hands down, some of the most delicious food I've eaten lately! A Perfect place, classy atmosphere and great food. The staffs are polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. Congratulations to the whole team!"
