I had a very positive second consultation with Deepesh at Healand Clinic regarding microdosing of GLP-1/GIP receptor agonists for weight management, which my husband attended alongside me. Although there were some technical difficulties with the video connection, Deepesh remained professional, patient and responsive, and quickly arranged to continue the discussion by phone so that the consultation could proceed properly.

I appreciated the clear and thoughtful way he explained the treatment approach, including how GLP-1/GIP medications work, the rationale for microdosing, and how gradual titration may help improve tolerability and reduce the risk of rebound weight gain. He also took time to discuss my husband’s and my current circumstances.

The consultation felt informative rather than rushed. Deepesh explained the difference between standard fixed-dose prescribing and the clinic’s more flexible microdosing approach, including the use of pre-filled syringes and dose adjustments according to response and tolerability. He also discussed potential side effects, including cancer risks, gastrointestinal symptoms and gallbladder-related risks linked with rapid weight loss, which helped me feel more informed when considering my options.

Overall, I found the consultation helpful, measured and reassuring. Deepesh came across as knowledgeable, approachable and careful in his explanations. I valued the emphasis on a cautious, individualised treatment plan rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, and I felt better equipped to consider whether Healand Clinic’s microdosing service is the right option for me or my husband.

Finding the Healand clinic was like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!
After 3 years of pain, so debilitating, I was completely housebound for 18 months, my husband saw an article on the BBC about the clinic. I decided to contact them, and within a day, I'd got a reply for a free telephone consultation with Dr Babar. Dr Babar is absolutely delightful, he genuinely listened to my problems, and suggested several things that could help. I saw him just a week later, and oh my goodness , my life has changed completely. I went into the clinic barely able to walk, and using sticks, to walking out virtually pain free. Dr Babar, is caring, thoughtful, listens, talks through your history and solutions, and approaches it in a very calm, holistic way.
I felt completely at ease, he explained everything he was doing, and treated me with respect, dignity and genuine care and compassion.
The Healand clinic is absolutely outstanding in every possible way. From the welcome I received upon arrival from the very smiley and helpful young lady, to the moment I left. The staff in the reception and Dr Babar are absolutely wonderful. I am confident that I received the utmost care and will certainly be returning.
