The Haval brand is definitely a cheaper alternative to its Japanese competitors, but the real question is: is it actually worth the money you’re saving?
I usually like to go for a good bang-for-buck deal, but in this case, I wouldn’t. When I’m spending countless hours behind the wheel, quality and comfort matter.
The car feels cheaply built both inside and out. The interior plastics are made from low-grade materials that scratch easily and, in Australian conditions, tend to fade and crack over time. Comfort is where it falls short the most. The ride is noticeably bumpy and, over longer drives, can make rear passengers feel sick or leave the driver with a headache—especially on the highway. The seats are also far from comfortable; it doesn’t take long before you start feeling sore.
At first glance, driving a Haval feels fine. But spend an hour in it and the differences become obvious when compared to better-built vehicles from Japanese and Korean brands.
Personally, I don’t think the savings are worth it. You end up sacrificing comfort and ride quality just to save a few dollars.

Less than 2 years and my H6 need a new engine! Late services so Haval will not replace engine under warranty. Just read another 2 reviews advising band new upto date on Services same oil issues as mine and they also needed new engine, 1st one 25,000km and the other 60,000km warranty honoured because Services upto date. This makes me feel like regardless of the late services, the engine is faulty. I'm going to seek legal action and challenge Havals decision. I'm sure there are a lot more than the 2 reviews I found. Maybe I should put a public notice out to all Haval owners to come forward if this has happen to them. This could definitely be a Class act!!!

Took delivery of our new Haval H6, an absolutely stunning car inside and out. Good to see it was shod with a top shelf tyre, Cooper which adds to its superb handling and very smooth ride . Inside its like being in a candy store so many features and the moon roof is amazing. All in all a beautiful car and proud to have it in my garage.

In October 2017 we decided to get a Haval H6 as our new car. One of the main reasons for going with Haval was due to the value for money that they offered compared to most of the other makes that are available on the market today.

From the delivery day onwards we have had nothing but issues with our new car. When the car was delivered it came with a number of parts that had been damaged during the manufacturing of the car. We advised the sales team and they contacted the servicing department. Over the next few days a number of other issues appear with the car and these where all immediately reported to the servicing and sales department.

After three visits to have my car serviced a few of this issues have been fixed, however a large amount still remain outstanding including new issues and the original issues form delivery. At this point contact was made with Haval Australia Head Office in Melbourne.

Haval Australia put me in contact with the head mechanic who was down right rude and horrible in the way he communicated and didn't seem interested in helping work through the issues. This guy was very dismissive and arrogant in the two interactions that I had with him.

We are now coming up to the 4 month mark with these issues still being out standing and new parts starting to fall off the car.

My advise to you would be to spend the extra few dollars and go else where.
