Ordered 3 child reclining chairs for children aged 3, 8 and 10. They were far too small and only just fitted the 3 year old. I didnt read the small print but went by the description of "luxury reclining chair for kids". I tried to return two of them but they argued I couldnt return if I changed my mind. I was not changing my mind - they did not fit the description. They kept trying to go back to the manufacturer but it was their advert that was wrong. Eventually I accepted a partial refund which turned out to be $35 and for both chairs! That wasn't made clear when I accepted. I gave up arguing in the end but was absolutely disgusted at their return policy. No other retailers offer this low level of service. I would not risk buying from them again

Employee NATHAN CLOROS at Bondi junction had to be one of the most helpful and informed employees I ever had the pleasure of doing busimess with at HN. I hope he goes places within the group.
HN make sure you dont loose him.

I ordered a product online, ask to pickup from another location. The website told me Cannington had stock and the estimated time to transfer from this store will be 2 to 3 weeks. It's 10km away mind you.

5 weeks later I call them and our conversation boiled down to:
"Nah its our stock! other store cant have it because its our stock!" despite the website telling me stock will be transferred in first place.

I know 5 years old with more brain power and discernment.
Does not give two damn about the customer experience. All I heard was "If I do not make a buck why should I care".

Harvey Norman is never getting a scent from me again, I hope this review was worth your capitalist high ground.

I don’t advise anyone to deal with Harvey norman. The store has owners for different sections and the manager has no power over what the owners decide if you want to return an item. I bought computer for $3000 and wanted to return next day. The manager said to me the owner refuses and he will sack me if I return it for you. Jbhifi and officework and good guys are much much much better because they don’t have this bad structure.they are more kind people towards customers. I warn everyone.

Maurizio look after me while purchasing few products from Harvey Norman. He was amazing. I am very happy with my purchases

Still waiting over 3 months for an expensive leather lounge suite. They are keen to sell you what you see on the floor but don’t carry any stock in the country. Quick to take your money but make you wait forever. Would not recommend

If I could give a zero, that's all this store at Everton Park QLD. is worth. Furniture manager *BrendanL* is a franchisee, and will say ANYTHING to avoid a $999 (on just one chair, NOT CHEAP!) refund on a faulty item! Blames poor maintenance, instead of manufacturing 3 major faults. Never come across such arrogance and lies. Totally refutes the ACL regulations, consumer protection. Referred now, to Office of Fair Trading and Harvey Norman Corporate Office, Customer Liaison 02 9201-6111. Hopefully a refund will be paid. Rightfully so!! 9 months out of manufacturers warranty, $999 product?!! Major faults are covered by ACL regulations. So a fight begins.

Sold me an unauthorised product. Contacted the manufacturer (BambuLabs) regarding missing small part from the box and the refused to replace as Harvey Norman are not Authorised Resellers. Harvey Norman online chat refused to help as it was purchased in store. P155 POOR customer service

Our Item arrived damaged-We were told to disregard the supplier manual and to simply accept our machine in error and when I made contact, we were told not to leave feedback through their feedback system but to call the store -however when I spoke to the store, they did not do anything to assist. We will never shop at Harvey Noman again- 0/10 from us simply terrible

I purchased several products....pretty much everything I needed to move into a house and live. August 2022.

Just under 4 years later my washing machine packed up. The problem is that the receipt just fades away even though it had been kept in the dark. Absolutely rubbish quality and unsuitable for a receipt that needs to be kept.

So it took me **** 4 **** phone calls to get an emailed copy of my purchase receipt .... and then I made an online claim. Making the claim was not impossible but the problem was finding the product serial number as it was printed on a very faded label on the back of the washing machine...hard to read...so I photographed it.

Should the shop staff make the claim on your behalf? I think so.

....... Customers should be supplied with a permanent copy of the receipt and the product serial number

Terrible customer service, 8th June order placed, informed 2-3 week delivery, had to chase up on the 2nd July as I had not received any communications, was told my order had been cancelled, but now they reinstated the ordered it would be another 2-3 weeks, chased up on the 11th July just to see how it was tracking to be informed it would be mid august. emailed back to say the wait was terrible but i had no choice, then recieved an email saying the order was cancelled, spoke to the manager at Everton park, not very helpfull, stated she was following what her staff had told her and that was that I cancelled the order,, I had cancelled why would I be chasing it up and not received a refund???? asked to speak to someone in a higher position to be told " I am the manager"
I cancelled the order the next day. will never shop there again.

Retail assistant was friendly, but the overall service was not helpful. A lot of time was spent discussing products that were not really comparable to what I was looking for, and there was little effort to prompt and understand what I was looking for.

Large part of the sales convo was on upselling product care, which I declined. After spending more than 2hrs, I ended up buying essentially the same items I was initially considering through my own online research. Bought two white goods, but was not offered a better deal other than a price match that I found myself.

I later discovered there were better options available that were not identified during the sale. For example, I was recommended a slightly cheaper washing machine with a smaller capacity, which I did not want. After making the purchase, I found a larger-capacity model from the same brand available for the same price as the machine I bought.

Delivery was frustrating. On the scheduled delivery day, I called because it was getting late and didn't receive any update, only to be told that Harvey Norman did not even deliver on that day. So I had to arrange again to be at home specifically for the delivery.

There were also separate charges for delivery, installation and each flight of stairs.

TLDR; assistant was friendly, but highly inefficient and did not provide any real value.

I would like to express how pleased I was with the excellent service I received when my freezer was delivered.
Unfortunately, I hadn't thought to measure the width of my doorway, so when the delivery team arrived, we discovered that the freezer was too wide to fit through the door. I was devastated and thought I would have to leave it in the dining area.
The delivery team were incredibly patient and helpful. They waited while I removed my door, and then, through their quick thinking, they realised that if they removed the freezer door, it would fit through the doorway. After a lot of careful manoeuvring and hard work, they managed to get it into the correct place.
I was absolutely overjoyed that I didn't have to leave it in the dining area. Their professionalism, patience, determination, and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference.
Please pass on my sincere thanks to the delivery team. They provided outstanding customer service, and I am extremely grateful for everything they did.

As usual the unit was not available had to do the full payment and ordered. Waited for 2 weeks since haven’t heard from them, I did reach out over the phone, spent over 20mins and as they trying to take much more time for it I decided to get refund, visited the store again spent further time there (another waste) however my point of view is why they didn’t reach out to me say the truth. Also keeping my money for no reason. Not a trustworthy people. The other electronics shops didn’t do this as they knew this certain product is not available in the country but for this people said yes and failed to keep the promises. I personally stop purchasing from Harvey Norman.

I bought a Russell Hobbs Slow Cooker that essentially falsely advertised its capacity of 7L. When I went to warn others so they didn't waste their time expecting a 7L slow cooker, via a review on the Harvey Norman website they refused to publish it.
Don't trust Harvey Norman reviews. They are clearly curated to paint a better picture than reality.

Harvey Norman’s customer service has been very disappointing. I placed an online order and chose Click & Collect because I assumed the item was available. However, after payment, I received an email saying I had to wait around 3 weeks for the item to arrive.
I emailed request a refund if the item was not available. The next day, I received a call asking whether I wanted to wait or get a refund. I agreed to wait because I needed the item. However, 2 days later, I received a refund email without any explanation.
I emailed again about this issue, but after almost 3 weeks, I still have not received any response.
This is not my first bad experience with Harvey Norman’s service. If customer service continues like this, customers will choose other retailers that provide better service.

Harvey Norman ask for my honest review of my last order which I had to reply that they sent me a somewhat damaged product not so much that the product doesn't work but enough to be disappointed as it was expensive and clearly damaged before they posted.
Letting you all know this here because they will reject any reviews that highlight issues with an order which is disappointing and dishonest of them claiming that it did not meet all their review guidelines which just means they wont publish anything if its negative in any way.

Harvey Norman are so desperate to avoid their customers they have no phone number for online orders. Horrendous customer service.

Josh, from the Bairnsdale store, is an absolute credit to the company. He is polite, respectful and knowledgeable.
10/10 for customer service, both from me (57 female) and my dad. (87 male. Thanks heaps Josh.
