Harvest Hosts Anmeldelser

Edit: I have finally been refunded. I’M leaving this here because while i have resolution, the policy still exists. That sort of policy should go away. The onus should be on the service not the purchasers.

Im an older person and signed up a year ago for harvest hosts. Then i broke my leg and tore my meniscus and wasnt able to use my subscription. I actually forgot all about it…until I looked at my accounts and discovered I had been charged by them for a 107 dollars. I immediately contacted them and suggested that was a terrible practice to force you to opt out. They proceeded to tell me it was my own fault for having not paid attention when I signed up. I again suggested that wasn’t a good practice and I would like to cancel my subscription since they had just taken the money that day and could I please get a refund. Dead silence.

No problems and the host people were very friendly and the pizza was great 🤗

We are also Hosts and enjoy having guests. Our last stay was very good. The host could not have been more helpful.

Long time member, love finding unique places to park and getting to know hosts.
Our renewal this time didn't go well. I would love to see more in the lower mainland in BC and on Vancouver Island.

It was easy to use the map to find a host along our route The description of the site and parking spot was extremely accurate and all the reviews helped verify our decision to stay there.
The place was great - we will definitely be back!!

Great stops for cross country travelers. Always something new to experience. Easy search engine.

Mistyglen Cremery is wonderful. Owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. Your was amazing. Thanks, highly recommend.

We love having the map option to see what’s available where. We plan out route accordingly. Sometimes we use it just for a “get away weekend”.

Being able to see host availability and their quick replies via text/email is invaluable.

Harvest Hosts was a wonderful experience for us, and we truly enjoyed meeting honest, welcoming people along the way. Unfortunately, over time, it seems to be becoming more business-oriented, with less consideration for campers. In some cases, prices are now higher than those of traditional campgrounds, yet there are few or no additional facilities or services offered. Sometimes, the amount being requested simply seems excessive.

We also feel that Harvest Hosts should be more selective when choosing partner hosts. While reviews and star ratings are helpful, they don’t always tell the whole story. Everyone has different expectations and experiences, and what one person considers acceptable may be very different for another.

That said, we have met and spoken with many other campers who have also decided to leave Harvest Hosts for similar reasons. We hope the organization will take this feedback into consideration and find a better balance between supporting hosts and maintaining the unique experience that originally made Harvest Hosts so appealing to campers.

2/2 this trip… all amenities we needed and more! Great having rv resorts added options.

Annual visit to Pearce Farms Harvest Host. Always a very easy set up on level ground. Beautiful peaceful views. Sometimes we use HH as a stopover on long trips. This visit to HH (only an hour from home) was just for fun!

Location, facility and staff friendliness.

Great places to stay and always reminding us of our stays.

Great platform. We use it all the time.
Just need more venues up and down the interstates.

We wish that all harvest hosts treated it the same. We like interaction with the host and makes us feel safer especially in more remote areas

Easy to navigate site. So far we have used it once for a trip and we needed to make changes. It was very easy to do so.

We love Harvest Host’s!. They are convenient for quick stops, especially those with power hookups. We enjoy varied experiences in places we might never have otherwise seen. As long as suggested donations remain low, it is definitely worth it.

We love the variety and sheer number of options. Always buy too much wine, but life is short, drink up. Professional, prompt.

We have thoroughly enjoyed staying at several Harvest Hosts locations since 2017, as we have explored Canada. This site is easy to navigate and it is so nice to receive confirmation of our bookings from the hosts. Then the fun starts; we meet the hosts, explore their businesses and make purchases from them. What a marriage; we need a camping spot and they provide a beautiful spot to park our RV for the night, a learning experience and great food or drink.
