Beautiful designs and because the wood is so light an ideal gift to send to my granddaughter in America. I have also bought a larger bowl for my daughter. She loves it.

The customer service was excellent, My item was lost by the carrier. Contacted the customer service team, not only did they escalate with the carrier but also sent a replacement. The level of support and care is rare and unique

This product is a joke. I have a side table here. The legs cannot be screwed in because the finishing on both the holes and the legs themselves are so rough. The mosaic top is not a mosaic but a picture of a.mosaix overlaid with some plastic

So, to date I have sent 3 emails and no reply, 24/48 hrs delivery 11 days later, no replies, no coffee table and no one answers the emails.

Would never buy from this company again. I wish I’d have looked at reviews before ordering.
Lord know if or when I will bet this item. Nearly £200 and I have no idea where this is!!

Wrong colour delivered and not actually possible to connect legs. NO response to multiple messages.

Absolutely brilliant customer care. Love my tables and when I had a small niggle it was sorted immediately.

Absolute con artists. All the products delivered to me are faulty and unusable but having tried to contact customer service about 15 times now, I am ignored every time.

I am extremely disappointed with this company. Their customer support team is very difficult to contact, and communication has been poor throughout the entire process.

I made a purchase and later returned the item. The return was successfully delivered, and I even received an email confirmation over a month ago confirming that they had received it. However, despite this, I still have not received my refund.

I have contacted the store several times and have received no response whatsoever even WhatsApp . It has been a very frustrating experience.

Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend buying from this store. As I have still not received my refund after more than a month, I will now have to consider taking legal action in order to recover my money.

Love it love it love it! Ordered a side table and loved it so much that i ordered three more for my B&B. Got 15% discount on valentines day offer.

Bad customer service! Tried to contact them numerous times regarding a wooden candle I have purchased. When we lit the candle the wooden bowl caught fire not long after, which was very scary. Whilst trying to put the bowl out, the wax was so hot it burnt my carpet as we tried to remove it from the house because the fire alarms were going off!
Very scary, these items should be removed from the shop, as the damage could have been a lot worst.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I have been completely ripped off. Bought a salad bowl and three platters but all were faulty as the surface on each of them was all bubbling up (as others have written). They sent replacements that were also faulty but ignored me when I asked for a return label. They then went ahead and charged me for the replacements! I have contacted them several times since but they ignore all my emails which means I’ll have to escalate the issue.
Their products might look nice but the quality is really poor and the customer service is criminal.

I would give no stars if I could. Appaling quality of product. I bought a cupboard and the joinery was appaling. The cupboard resembled very little what it looked like online. The front wasn't painted in places, the finish was awful and there were places that had been very badly filled. The doors didn't align and the whole thing looked cheap and there was no quality control seemingly done on the product. Long delivery time too. My item was also damaged in delivery. Bad customer services, many weeks and phone calls to get the item picked up and then took almost 2 weeks to get a refund. Avoid this company.

Extremely poor quality side tables. Returned due to the legs not fitting properly. I’ve still not received my refund from them after sending them back over three weeks ago.

We really wanted to love the side table we bought from Hartsmede but honestly the quality is just appalling.

The positives:
- Seems to be made of real timber
- Looks decent from afar
- Drawer runners are very smooth

The negatives:
- The design on the top trim is clearly a different shape than the photos
- The wood is cracked
- Neither the front nor top designs are centred
- Very thick opaque white adhesive is visible
- Adhesive was put on so thick it oozed out the top and dried
- Many of the white stencilled cut-in's are a discoloured yellowish-brown
- The screwed-on base of the feet look misshapen
- The legs have holes in them and have globs of leftover solder
- The drawer knobs are loose and cannot be tightened because an interior front was installed

This is a far cry from the handcrafted, high quality we were promised and is inexcusable considering the premium price. No discolouration, centred designs, no obvious thick adhesive, and clean feet are all reasonable expectations to have when purchasing a piece of furniture, especially one priced above market.

We've contacted Hartsmede about the significant quality control deficiencies and have yet to receive a response.

We are very disappointed and just wish Hartsmede made furniture that matched up with their marketing.
