I truly love HappyCow. My experience has been consistently positive. Over the years I found fantastic places across the globe because of HappyCow that I wouldn’t have otherwise - including Ghana, Brazil, Colombia, Slovenia, Spain, USA and UK. This information is vital when you’re vegan. Reading reviews from other vegans is super useful and I like sharing my views too. I hope it keeps its integrity - I was disappointed to read that listings may be linked to how much a venue pays the app rather than review ratings. Keep it real! 🌱

Alot is indicated with wrong adress or wrong name. People should be able to edit better and more checks should come from the happy cow team. Some dont exist. Mostly its ok to find, but sometimes tou lose alot of time by searching for the adress.

I’ve been using HappyCow for almost five years now, and it’s truly a lifesaver — especially when I’m traveling.

Thanks to this app, I’ve discovered amazing vegan and vegetarian restaurants that I would never have found otherwise.

I love that I can see photos, reviews, detailed descriptions, and even menu highlights before I visit.

It makes planning for eating out feel easier — even in places where vegan food can be hard to find.

This is honestly one of the most important apps on my phone.

If you eat plant-based — even occasionally — you need this. Ten out of ten. So grateful someone recommended it to me years ago!

Clunky UI. Not very user friendly, pretty useless tbh

I understand happy cow needs to make money and that's fine but the tiered restaurant sponsorship to get to top of listings is ruining the user experience for the app. 300 US a month is pretty extortionate for the top tier listing for a restaurant to pay. The majority of app users aren't even aware that restaurant on top of list may not be highest rated. It's just the highest rated subscription payer. Having recently payed $8 for the app again after switching from android. I've noticed it's gone down hill, its much harder to differentiate quality between restaurants, and most users are not even aware they are being misled, as the sponsor tab looks like an award, rather than being labelled as a sponsored link. Being a paid app, I assume the users of the app should be more aware. I find myself using Google maps more and more now, as it seems to be more reliable. I understand HappyCow needs to make money, but the current payment structure doesn't encourage a quality rating system, its essentially misleading any app paying customers who haven't bothered to read the fine print. Perhaps a user subscription model would be better as the app, has gone down hill massively in the last few years. I've heard reports of the HappyCow marketing team rewriting restaurant descriptions, that are inaccurate and without the vendors consent. It's pretty easy for a company to ruin it's reputation, and as someone who has been a fan of the app for years . I really hope you can find a better solution to earn $ that prioritizes accuracy and authenticity on the app more accurately.

Great Website for finding vegetarian or vegan Restaurants, especially in foreign countries.
Highly recommended.

This place never lets people discuss why veganism is not healthy for everyone and how meat prevents some people from being severely malnourished. So, I would consider this platform to be a cult promoting veganism without much room for scientific discussions.

I use the app version. The absolute best way to find vegetarian and vegan restaurants in places you haven't been to before. Saves all the hassle and means you often experience great places u didn't even know existed.
