Absolute SH*TE SCAM! From the call centre in the Philippines to the pick up of the rubbish. As per all of the real reviews here, these people are con men. The call centre people will quote you reasonable price and then the rubbish collectors will huff and puff saying it’s “too much”. Deyvid Aleksandrov, the rubbish collector and his father charged me £250 to pick up literally 4 pcs of broken up plaster boards in 2 refuse bags when I sent them twice the amount in the quote. They parked next to the lift, dragged the stuff to the lift and that’s it. Took them a whole of 15 minutes including the complaining and saying it’s all too much. It hardly added volume in their Luton van. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY.

They damaged several areas in my apartment and the common areas of the building without informing me or apologizing for the damage. They were rude and inconsiderate. I will never use their services again.

Provided a detailed list and photos in advance and confirmed this with their office before I accepted the quote. On the day as soon as the 2 people arrived they said it would cost more and wanted another £200 despite there being no difference between the list and photos I supplied and what was due to be removed. I refused and they tried to negotiate but I felt that this was all a scam and it felt very uncomfortable. I asked them to leave and would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone. I was glad that I had not paid in advance or given them my banking details.

Very fast - Efficient- and easy. And also beat other quotes.

Customer service and booking all good. Was quoted £150 over the phone for 20 bags of rubble. Sent in a photo and the updated quote was £180.

Great. All was getting collected, same day for £180.

Then get a phone call - they’ve arrived and it’s now £350!!! Over double the original quote. They reserve the right to change the price as just a quote but they had a very good photo and they knew it was heavy rubble so to double is ridiculous. Was obviously very frustrated. They said over the phone they’d do it for £300 and I said do the job and I’ll agree the fee with the head office as I had no choice at this point as needed it collected.

They then ghosted my emails where previously they’d been great at replying to me. I phoned up, explained and was transferred to an answering machine. Phoned up again and was met with a hard no. Job was done, they had my card details as they took them to book the job so £300 taken.

Be very careful about the quote! Would not use again.

I just had them collected my rubbish for the 1st time. At first I was afraid they won't accomodate me since I called in last minute. Praise God! they were very accomodating and even gave me a big discount. I will surely use them as regular collector.

This company is a scam. The rubbish guys turned up in a furniture removal van and had no professionalism. The quote I was given over the phone was £204. When the guys in the van turned up they said it was to much rubbish. The office then phoned me and doubled the asking price. I refused and they took half the rubbish instead. When I asked for an invoice they told me they would email me it, im still waiting.

My experience with this company is my own fault for not reading the reviews and rushing to get a job finished. If you’re reading this do not use this company. Absolute rip off and they are useless.

Terrible company. As others have said, they tried to double the price but I refused so they split the difference. They didn't do anything on day 1, turned up late day 2. then refused to leave the property until cash was handed over. A bank transfer was made and they threatened to put the furniture on the driveway.
Go elsewhere

If it was possible to give a minus star I would do so but unfortunately there is not that option.

I have learnt a lesson, a very important lesson after using handy rubbish.
It is a scam. Unfortunately I did not look at trust pilot before using them.
Firstly they double the price from the quote given, once they reach your home.
The workmen cut corners and did not take everything that they said they would take.
Then on the way out they left all the rubbish all over my home and also broke a step which will now cost me more than the money that I thought I might save.
It has worked out to be a very expensive lesson.

It took me a week to get to the 'manager' I think her name was Maria. Very rude, confrontational. ...and told me that only damages over £250 would be considered. As I said a SCAM.

I should have read the reviews but was in a hurry ,quoted for a job and when they turned up late, wanted another£50 avoid like the plague

After sending detail description of items for removal when the team of two arrived they got straight on the phone and demanded more money. They were rude unprofessional and 1:15 minutes late with no apologies. They were also given the task of removing old carpets and lino flooring. I was asked to remove the bathroom flooring myself before they took it away. They also left a complete mess and I had to ask them to remove the underlay, they argued but eventually took it but left some I times they agreed to take rushing off once they had the cash in their hands saying they had to go to another job, AVOID THIS COMPLANY!!!!!

SAY NO TO DOUBLING AGREED PRICE
My fault, I failed to read the many trust pilot bad reviews prior to booking Handy Rubbish. Its crew arrived on time at the correct place and set about re-assessing the previously assessed charge by almost DOUBLE. Nothing had changed since a full set of photos had been submitted to James, John & Mr Williams. But they said the price agreed by Handy Rubbish was too low and must almost double. It seems Handy Rubbish made a low bid to get the job and now its crew wanted to exploit my vulnerability by jacking the price way up. I said NO, NO, NO!

Extremely dishonest company. Quoted me a per kg cost for rubbish removal up to £230 for 500kg. Knowing that I had less than 500kg I rechecked numerous times that a per kg cost would be charged and no more. On the day of collection collectors turned up 2 hours later than the booked window for collection & then told me they wouldn't weigh the rubbish, but charge the full £230. I wasn't happy with this so told them to leave (after numerous phone calls with the customer team, and a lengthy conversation with the person who quoted the per kg removal cost). Get a call from their team a few hours later asking what happened and why I'd cancelled - but only because they'd attempted to take a cancellation fee from my credit card which I had blocked. I explained I hadn't cancelled but they had tried to overcharge me on collection and I'd refused to pay their price. I was then offered for someone to return to collect the rubbish for £50 less - which would STILL have gone against the original quoted per kg price. I refused this and let them know I don't have any trust in their company, they'd wasted hours of my time that day and therefore would not deal with them any further. Avoid this company at all costs. A dishonest and unethical way of working.
