Other bouquets: Gareth and Maria are now offering a monthly training seminar for their VIP clients .... great to see how the experts use the program!!!
Also continuous improvements keep rolling out: latest is to the phone app. MY early whinges about documentation are being addressed with ongoing development of a userguide and glossary.

Rival similar programs I use keep getting slower and slower ... but HALO is very very fast ... big portfolios load really quickly and appear to be resident on one's local machine so things run even faster after an inital load (unlike some other portfolio management programs that requiring long and longer waits!!!)

How about a user forum ... there was one in the v. early days but might be time to bring that idea back.

Also ... a big ask I know ... but for those who frequently buy in and sell out and wind up with multiple trades in a single stock: anyway of assigning specific buys to particular sales: just to help deal with the CGT, and dividend imputation issues?

It has been a long ride for me with HALO a stock analysis and portfolio management program that is written within a wide ranging financial services firm which continually updates improves & extends the scope of the program. Major improvements keep coming: eg extending coverage to world wide stock exchanges & allowing users to monitor & analyse different portfolios separately or in any combination. Halo offers a very wide range of reporting & tracking tools ranging from simple to complex & caters for both tyro & experienced investors. Halo is very fast to use & permits speedy & simple entry of information: with a lot of automation. The level of support from staff is excellent.

Excellent presentation for a software package that has so many different elements.

I really do appreciate the user seminars that you provide. I struggle to find my way around this suite of programs/data, it's not intuitive to me, but getting guidance from the VIP team is gradually making it more accessible for me

I am always amazed that new ways of using Halo come out of these sessions. Halo is so comprehensive that I cannot take it all in at once and these webinars always seem to show me little tricks and fruitful ways of better using Halo. This is beyond the value of the substance of each session which are good investment strategies.

The Halo tool is one of the best in the market if you are looking for automation but still be in the driver's seat. Halo allowed me to set up my own investment strategy which I was not able to implement before without it. Adding macrovue makes the package complete

I am pleased to provide this review of HALO/MACROVIEW/ and HALO VIP having been a member for some 2-3 years after signing up with Gareth Iggo and team at a live seminar in Melbourne.

My use of the services provided has been more limited than I had hoped and expected due to other activities not due to the platform provided. I have been happy to invest in the services and pre-pay until 2032 as I can only see myself making even more use of the platform going forward.

The level of support for me as a novice trader, long term, non-naive investor has been excellent. The online tutorials are valuable - as they are always available should you forget - and the level of support by phone when I have run into a problem is a real bonus.

The team does, literally, hold your hand and provide the essential confidence so important to a beginner trying to master the HALO software.

The built in tools in HALO have enabled me to quickly and easily analyse my three portfolios and make timely decisions about when (and if) to BUY, SELL or HOLD my exiting Australian stocks.

More recently, the provision of International data on overseas stocks has been of great benefit.

During my past two years of membership, I have not made use of MACROVIEW to Buy and Sell but intend to test the ground going forward. Instead I have retained my personal stock-broker for convenience in buying / selling stock by phone and for maintaining continuity, discussing ideas and also for managing my trading accounts for tax purposes. I have been happy to pay their 1% brokerage and account fees to facilitate these services but can see my making use of MACROVIEW for some future trades.

Of course the trust one places in the algorithms embedded in HALO are key to the value derived. But I have been well pleased by the analysis and particularly the speed and convenience of the platform allowing multiple comparisons within and between portfolios.

I am pleased to recommend HALO VIP to potential and existing investors who wish to gain better insight into their stock portfolios and manage their trades.

Great support in learning the HALO system. Patiently talked me thru my knowledge gaps and helped set up powerful stock scans and blends to drive my investing success.

I find Halo as an amazing tool giving you heaps of information on companies globally such as financials, histories all share trends, EPS, upcoming dividends and even polling other broker recommendations on shares. Halo also links into Macrovue (if you have opted to open a trading account) and to the ASR website where you have education and investor’s areas etc. There is also plenty of support and training provided by staff who are always ready to show you more when you are ready so you’re not left in the dark. I particularly like the "signals" feature which gives me a good indication of stocks that will perform well

Teaming up with Halo Technologies has been a double win for me. Firstly, there is nothing like the comprehensive, forward looking global data base that is available through Halo. Secondly, the support from the team, in my case mainly Gareth and Tristan, has been fantastic. What looks initially like a very complex tool designed by nerds for nerds is actually incredibly logical, easy to use and above all gives new insights into investment potential. My main interest is in international companies and trading. Getting up and running took only a couple of hours and it gets better as I become smarter at asking the rights questions. I originally viewed it as an analytical tool but now have it linked to MacroVue for direct international transactions which could not be easier and at a reasonable rate. I fully recommend Halo.
