I arrived @ 0630hrs in the dark to…

Beware this Hotel chain has a closer relationship with Parking Eye than with it's guests.

I arrived @ 0630hrs in the dark to attend a conference at the Hotel, I parked in a car park for hotel guests, I entered the hotel through a marked entrance and was directed to the conference by Hotel staff.

Parking signs were not visible from my car on arrival or on my pathway into the hotel, neither did the hotel staff tell me about Parking Eye on arrival and even directed away from reception where I might have seen signs and a registration input screen.

I was then contacted by Parking Eye with a £100 fine. I visited the Hotel, the hotel staff were extremely aggressive and told me it was my fault, but very reluctantly agreed to write to Parking Eye and get the fine removed, however they failed to do so and Parking Eye stepped up their intimidation.

I then called and wrote to the Hotel once again wrote and the hotel promised by email it had been taken care of and the fine rescinded.

Parking Eye have a different view and continue to pursue me.

On complaining once gain to the Hotel I was told the hotel owners "like Parking Eye", I guess they regard Parking Eye as a good source of income and probably that relationship is more important to them than their guests.

I have never been treated with such disdain by a hotel before, clearly guests are a source of irritation and disgust and far less important that their valued relationship with Parking Eye.

So far this has cost the hotel my family Leisure Centre membership (£000s per annum) that I was about to purchase and the conference organisers £600 of annual revenue from my business as I refuse to return to that venue.

Assaulted by staff at hallmark hotel hull

I stayed in the Hull hotel 6/7th April. The room key didn’t work a single time which is a complete failure of goods and services. I went to complain after the 7th time of walking across the hotel just to go back to the reception and be verbally and physically assaulted by the small bald man working. When asking the chap for his manager the chap ran around the desk and got in my face, squaring up to me which was disgusting behaviour. I’m actually still shocked by the situation and had to sleep with a chair against my door for my own safety. Really really shocking behaviour

Very disappointed !!

In short at the Warrington Hallmark, we were given a drab, dark room while on a birthday break away, we complained and Daniel went out of his way to sort us out a better room, he couldn’t do enough to better the situation, this included free drinks vouchers and a cake selection was brought to the room for my girlfriends birthday this was a nice touch. The following morning brought more disappointment, the hash browns were contaminated with cleaning fluid, this is shocking I’ve never had such an awful breakfast in all my life. We mentioned it to two members of staff, the lady advertised the fact she had arranged for a fresh batch had been made it was pretty pointless by then, we gave up and left. We will never stay at a Hallmark hotel again.

If I could leave a 0

Under no circumstances do i enjoy writing a bad review. I booked a stay with one the Hall mark hotels in Warrington but cancelled as I only wanted a day room as a stop over.

I had rang them at the end off December to cancel as it was booked for the 27th off jan. Firstly I never received a cancellation email which was strange then at the end off jan I was charged £65.

When I rang firstly then gentlemen over the phone (seemed very unbothered) he wouldn’t help.

Then I rang again and a lady manager said she would look in to it,she rang to advise she couldn’t find the cancellation but she would look in to it and call back again. That was a week ago.Then I rang again to day the boy answered again very unhelpful he advised he couldn’t find that it had been cancelled and there’s nothing he could do.

I find his unbelievably unfair, due to somebody’s incompetence I’m paying.

I have recently stayed in the hallmark …

I have recently stayed in the hallmark hotel Carlisle with my disabled wife
and I must say what a horrid experience.
The gentleman on reception was very unhelpful and to me did not seem to care. When I went to get my wife who is a wheelchair user into the hotel
I asked where the disabled access was and he just shrugged his shoulders.
We finally got help a night porter found the portable ramp what an experience, it was so steep and the porter had to stand on the top of it to stop it slipping my wife was terrified going up and down.
The lift experience was the final straw it cannot take a full wheelchair I had to pull the back of the wheelchair forward scuffing and damaging my wife's shoes.
I would not recommend staying here if you have a disabled companion.
The whole experience was very upsetting for my wife and certainly not worth the cost.
A representative from the hotel wrote to me in early January and I have heard nothing else since.

I recently held a charity ball at the hallmark hotel, Manchester airport. From the beginning, I was looked after by Lilly Poole. She was professional and friendly to the point where I invited her to come along!
Simon was out chef on the night. I have had so many calls, texts etc to say how fantastic the food was. Well done Simon!

Eastcliff Hotel Bournmouth

Stayed at Eastcliff Hotel Bournmouth. I found it very expensive for a basic hotel. The bedroom was relatively small compared to more modern hotels, but lacked the style or ambiance I expected.

My room lock constantly refused to open with the keycard, which meant many trips by back to reception to get the keycard re-coded. As the room I occupied was right at the rear of the hotel thus involved long corridors and several stairs and steps. Very irritating. Once inside, the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was basic but adequate, except for the (fixed position) shower which actually was more of a dribble and was not easy to regulate.

There was no complementary bottled water supplied.

I only had breakfasts in the hotel and I found these to be good, with friendly and efficient staff.

The free internet was a joke and wouldn't work on either my phone or iPad.

The extortionate car parking charges left a bad taste, as I feel I was already paying enough, and as a guest at the hotel I feel the car parking should be free. The car parking charges were not mentioned when I booked the hotel (through Hotels.com) and came as somewhat of a shock.

Would I stay there again? No.

May as well stay at a travelodge!!!

We booked the Hallmark hotel In Bar Hill and it was awful from the get go! There were 7 of us booked in for the 'girls night in' package (which no one in the hotel seemed to know what this included).
The changing room is tiny, only 1 shower which was dirty, the toilet was out of order and the floor was filthy too. Staff seemed like they just could not be bothered and would rather be elsewhere. The treatment room was a glorified cleaning closet-not that we ever actually got to have our treatments!

The cream tea came next and as there were a few additional people with us we ordered extra sandwiches and 3 portions of chips this was at around 2pm the additional sandwiches finally turned up at around 3pm and despite us asking twice about our 3 portions of chips they were never put through as an order. The chips finally arrived at 3:30pm. We had a taxi booked for 7 so went to the bar to have our cocktails and glass of wine with dinner at around 5:45pm. The staff didn't have a clue what cocktails they had available and did not even have a menu, after waiting half an hour we finally received our cocktails 3 of which were wrong. When asking what the cocktails were so we could hand them to the right person there was a lot of huffing and puffing and eye rolling without an actual answer being given. When the food came it was average and my meal was wrong so had to be sent back. We had 20 mins to eat our main and desserts which was rather stressful. I was awoken at 8:40 by house keeping walking into my room- check out isn't until 11 it's a Saturday and they knew we were with a hen party so it is beyond me why they felt 8:40 was a suitable time to come in and wake me up!

As I was awake I decided to give breakfast a go. There was not a table big enough for all of the party so we had to move tables around ourselves and get our own cutlery as the tables were not even ready and the lady that said she would bring us the cutlery clearly forgot about us. Whilst I was collecting cutlery for the table a lad that worked there just watched! Requested brown sauce as it had ran out never to receive any. Tables that had left 20 mins before still had dirty plates on with numerous members of staff just walking past leaving it for the next person to do!

All in all I would never stay in a Hallmark hotel again. I paid £118 on an absolutely awful experience, the staff couldn't care less, there is no urgency about anything in this hotel and quite frankly not worth the money at all. I may as well have stayed in a travelodge for a fraction of the price. Incompetent staff, overpriced.

Shocking

I have stayed at the hallmark for my 1st time and I have to say the place is shocking the service is slow at dinner and they don't tell you that certain foods aren't available when ordering your food they leave it for 30-45 mins to come and tell you that they have ran out of food. It isn't a first come first service like most places the staff can be very rude and abrupt. I am staying here on business but have another weeks stay here I hope the place gets better while I am here and not worse.

Disgusting service

Went for afternoon tea and was shocked by POOR hygiene standards ,we were served our food on badly scored dirty chopping boards with large cuts in the wood.I've had afternoon tea many times but never had service like this.Still can't quite believe it.We raised our concerns with two staff members but one lady was clearly unfazed and said ,"She welcomed our feedback".

Hallmark Hotels UK way off the mark

It's probably unrealistic to expect to get the standard of service you believed you were paying for on every occasion, but after making a complaint their manager actually had the front to phone me up and try to sell me another room at a discount?

Is this standard practice to appease unhappy guests, I felt so under valued as a guest.
