I had wonderful customer service. I have had lots of expense due to car and house problems.!! Tired out and stressed out I went in with two banking issues I wanted to change to help me. To change date of credit card payment and a loan holiday. By the time I finished these two issues were resolved but not only that I had changed to a better savings account and changed to a credit card with no interest for 20 months. Lillie was great and I have found Fareham Halifax branch great over the last 14yearsIhave worked in Fareham Thank you Lillie and colleagues

No information on migrating account to lloyds in spite of letter telling me just to log in and follow the instruction.
Currentlyu waited 30 minutes on the telephone help line 'exceptionally busy'. What do they expect when they are closing down accounts and migrating to Lloyds with inadequate information. Lloyds are as bad as the new administration they should be overseeing this shambles.

A disgraceful bank. I had a fraudulent transaction on my account and I've been given the run around by Halifax. You phone to speak to a human and the recorded message says do it online. The app was down for hours so eventually this afternoon I got online and tried to speak to an agent. The bot is completely useless and the rep just as bad. After 55 minutes of constantly repeating myself they cut me off!! I have had to freeze my card myself as God forbid Halifax try to help is asking for water to be turned to wine. I'm now done with Halifax and will be moving to another bank

Worst bank ever I had fraud about 3 times and reported it always handled ok small amounts compared to what was taken the final time £316 to super dry.com they refused to refund....I clearly asked to close my account and told them I was going to another bank they did not do this my complaint was sent to a complaints manager Tony brown who took 12 weeks to get back to me was supposed to be 8 weeks which is bad enough he refused to listen to me and what I was trying to tell him instead more or less saying I had took my own money and was trying to get it back THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL...so they decided to close my account that id already asked to do and ive subsequently found out theyve put a CIFAS marker against my name...I am furious....they had no right none at all...ive consulted a solicitor and im suing them worst bank ever good riddance to them.

Horrendous

Had a few family members send me money for my upcoming birthday, and they all said they were given an additional prompt they weren’t used to, advising that the transfers could take up to 2 hours on the 25th August.Apparently, this is all due to this stupid “merger” they’re doing. Honestly, I swear banks are determined to break something that already wasn’t working properlyI left it for two days to give them plenty of time, because I completely understand that things can happen and systems can go wrong But I woke up today and still had no money.So I called the bank, and I’m genuinely not sure what was more useless the automated service at the beginning of the call or the actual agent I eventually got through to.From the beginning of the call, you could tell he absolutely did not want to be there He basically told me there was nothing he could do, it wasn’t his fault, and seemed to completely miss the fact that I was waiting for birthday gifts from my own family As if I was asking him to personally hand me the money out of his own pocket. 🙃Then, to top it all off, he hung up So I had to go through that awful AI service AGAIN, eventually get through to another agent, and thankfully this time I got someone who was actually helpful But honestly, this is the final straw with this bank. After everything, I’ve completely lost confidence in them and will be closing all of my accounts.You’d think the bare minimum for a bank would be making sure people can actually access money that has been sent to them. Apparently that’s too much to ask these days

Good riddance. Blocked my credit card at the drop of a hat while I was abroad with limited means of communication. downloaded statements with credits and debits reversed. Awful!

Been with Halifax for years now having to move to LLOYDS through no choice due to greedy shareholders. It’s like VW deciding to fit VW badges to Bentley just because they’re part of the same group. I’ll be moving maybe try one of the more modern banks

Been banking with Halifax for over 25 years loved the service however since the migration to Lloyds,service has become so so poor,the online banking now takes ages to get into.We are forced to be with a bank we dont like I am sure I am not the only one feeling somehow with this ridiculous force if change,Lloyds was there when I opened my account with Halifax and there's a reason I didn't choose Lloyds as my bank ,I guess it's time to move to another bank but definitely not Lloyds

Mum w/poor hearing so I (son) phoned to say her card had been swallowed at an ATM. Got through to a woman who was not clear in her voice or particularly helpful.
She said it would be 6 working days for it to reach our address. This is far too long to wait. We'd have gladly paid for 1st Class but were told this option was not available.
Poor, poor standard of service by Halifax Lost/Stolen.

Trying to open a savings account in Halifax Gateshead and was told I needed to download the app and do it online. After explaining that I didn't feel confident to do that they agreed to do it with me in the bank. Because everything is moving to lloyds name they helped me apply on line on the app. It wouldn't work. The staff member told me to delete everything and we did it all again only to be told there was an error and to try again later. Complete disaster.Phoned customer services got no sympathy at all just told to apply again tomorrow

Halifax recently made an error with an account payment. Whilst that was frustrating I want to compliment them on their handling of the ensuing complaint. It was very effectively handled, thoroughly investigated and the error rectified. I accept that errors happen but the better judge of a company for me is how you address those errors when they occur. In that respect, Halifax were excellent

Continual ongoing problems transferring money from my account using cash transfer app

Banked with them for more than 40 Years, Never significantly overdrawn. Never needed a loan other than my mortgage, until recently, applied, turned down, spoke to a competitor, received the loan within a week on better terms. Time to find another bank.

I have been with Halifax for many years but their service recently has been very poor. Telephone systems using ai are very poor and much slower than speaking to a person. When you do get to deal with a person the service is variable. I recently had a fraud on my account which the bank were very poor at dealing with insisting on dealing with the matter as a dispute. It isn’t a dispute Halifax just a straight forward crime that I am the victim of. It is little wonder there is such growth in online fraud when the banks fail to even categorise the matter appropriately. Halifax failed to offer even the most basic advice to protect my account moving forward leaving me to insist that my card be cancelled and even when visiting the Blackpool branch I was essentially given the number for the fraud team and told to go home and ring them up. I’m left wondering just how safe my money actually is with a bank who for a long time have seemed detached from good customer service and seem to have a total inability to communicate between different bits of their own organisation.

This AI bot is absolutey useless."ask me a question so I can help" You don't. nothing relevant. I had a standing order to a savings account but it disappeared wifh no explanation. Banks are getting worse and they reckon ai is the future. Heaven help us. Hello human.

Terribly long waiting time to talk to them - their recorded message says 'more than twenty minutes'. This is simply not good enough. I think it is time to change banks.

Today at 11am I went into the Touchwood branch of Halifax and wanted to sort my account out. Indy a lovely patient lady who went above and beyond the call of duty explained me what my options were and i made decisions accordingly. She defenately deserves recognition. I cannot put details for obvious reasons, but feel free to contact via email.
