We were looking for an experience for our 14 year old son and 15 year old daughter to honor and celebrate the end of our time at our beloved homeschooling co-op—an experience that would really tie together their knowledge and interest in both Islamic history and Islamic studies along with Islamic arts, crafts and culture. We came across your travel site from your husband's recommendations and after comparing various groups' itineraries, we selected yours.

The knowledge of our guides, the care and attention to detail, our time with Hoji Akbar and the ease with which we moved about from city to city, from the plane rides to the private drives to the train ride, all of it was so smooth and just phenomenal.

My mother and I had a wonderful time. The waterfalls were breathtaking and learning about Bosnia's rich history was very interesting. My mother has some mobility issues and can't hike far distances. Selma, our guide, was so accommodating and would try to find alternatives for her while also including her. Everything was seamless. From the airport pick-up to all of the excursions. They sincerely went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Our arrival flight was delayed and my mother and I arrived late. One of the Bosnian partners (Alem) came by our hotel very late to deliver dinner/food for us and refused to let us pay despite our insistence.

It was so relaxing traveling on this pre-planned trip. The other ladies in our group were so fun and our group became quite close. I definitely want to travel with Halal Travel Guide again in the future.

This was my first time travelling with Halal Travel Guide and I loved every second. It was incredibly organised and well managed, everyday was jam packed with activities. I went to Bosnia and met incredible people who made the trip special.

Our tour guide Selma was awesome! She made the trip so much fun and I learnt alot about the country & its history and got to witness the true beauty of the Bosnia! This was my first trip with HTG and inshallah I will do more. I would recommend to do the white water rafting...best day ever!!

The Ramadan trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina was wonderful and very informative, with a well-planned and efficient itinerary that made the most of the limited time.

Enjoyed an extremely satisfactory trip to Uzbekistan. We felt well looked after by our travel guide, Humoyun and his team.

The food and logistics were well planned and any requests were listened to and accommodated where possible.

The guides in Bukhara and Samarkand were interesting and
knowledgeable and kept themselves up to date. Furthermore visiting the master craftsmen was a real privilege.

Jordan was breathtaking and completely surpassed my expectations.
Both our tour leader Jihane and local
guide Mays were wonderful. Jihane did great in keeping us in the loop and addressing any concerns while Mays' knowledge of her country and its history really ensured that we had the best, most enriching time possible. The full day at Petra was a real highlight and I appreciated that we had enough time to explore it as we saw fit. Another favourite was our day and night in Wadi Rum. The free stargazing experience that Ahmed, the owner of Rum Planet Camp, arranged for us was otherworldly. He pointed out the stars and constellations to us with such care
and enthusiasm it felt like we were in the open-air classroom of a beloved teacher! Traveling with a group of ladies was inspiring and the camaraderie was wonderful. I was apprehensive as a solo traveler but I very quickly realised that my worries were unfounded when I met the rest of the ladies. I am really pleased and grateful that I had the opportunity to travel with HTG and I would
recommend them wholeheartedly.

Great guide very well organised the only thing I would say is less time in retail outlets as they are quite expensive .
Guides very knowledgeable and the fact that we were able to pray during the day when touring .
The highlight was the cave of the seven sleepers but loved Wadi Musa and the camps

Amazing trip to Uzbekistan with HTG.

Visited 3 cities with a perfect mix of sightseeing and free time.

Accommodation was clean and well located. The tour guide was kind and knowledgeable - nothing was too much trouble.

As someone who travels frequently, I have to say the team at Halal travel guide did a phenomenal job!!!

Starting with the ease of reservation, the, airport pickup, to luxury transportation, the local tour guide team, the amazing itinerary, and the spot on recommendation when it comes to food, and finally with the airport drop offs. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

All in all , a beautiful and memorable experience, and will always be my go to for leisure travel!

If you’re an intrepid traveller who enjoys the personal and thoughtful touch then the Halal Travel Guide is for you. I cannot speak highly enough about the attention to detail displayed by the organisers; from transfers and tours through to the arrangement of food and accommodation! I was able to switch off and enjoy the holiday as everything had been taken care of!

The tour guides were excellent with knowledge about Bosnian history and culture, immersing the tour into an authentic Bosnian experience whilst approaching difficult modern history topics with respect and humour.
The itinerary was appropriately set given that it was Ramadan with the right balance of cultural and religious reflection. The stories that were told were both heartbreaking yet hopeful as Bosnia moves into another phase of its history. The mosques harked back to a time of the Islamic golden age reminding us as travellers as what once was, but yet lives on through the current youth!

The company of the fellow like-minded travellers, tour guides and hosts (Soumaya and family), made this a truly wonderful experience. So, if you’re looking for some adventure with like minded people and top quality tour guides and hosts then I would highly recommend Halal Travel Guide!

Experiencing some of the blessed days of Ramadan in a majority-muslim society has been a dream of mine for years - and HTG’s Ramadan in Bosnia Tour realised this for me, alhamdulillah. It was an immersive, beautiful and deeply affecting experience. The locations we visited were serene, dramatic and steeped in history. We were blessed to be guided by an inspiring team who were great company and riveting story-tellers.

Having the space and time to be in the beautiful masajid and soaking up the festive, lively and warm Ramadan atmosphere in the bustling streets after taraweeh has been truly special. Bosnia really is a must-visit destination and this was a fantastic introduction. JazaakumAllahu khaiyran and a heartfelt thank you, Soumaya and team - you got the balance just right. I would highly recommend HTG and would love to travel with you again, bi’ithnillah.

When I was a child, my parents told me about what happened in Bosnia in the 90’s. Since then this country has always stuck in my head. Alhamdullilah, I managed to get some time off work to visit this amazing country and wouldn't have chosen any other company to go with. Halal Travel Guide have years of experience and that was evident throughout the course of the trip. They focus on real life story telling which impacts your heart greatly. I’ve been with many tour companies before and they are usually very demanding with lots in the itinerary. However, HTG had the perfect balance which me and my wife loved. Recently, I enjoyed an exceptional holiday that surpassed expectations. The accommodation seamlessly blended luxury and style, complemented by attentive staff and meticulous attention to detail. Alhamdulillah I really enjoyed every part of this Tour. I went with 3 friends but gained 8 more. The tour was amazing, seeing the historic cities of Oman, beautiful landscapes, beaches, enjoyed the authenticity of true Arab country, its culture and beautiful people. I would be going back again in shaa Allah & will be recommending to others to go.

I attended the trip to Bosnia in early August 2023. I went solo, and was really nervous but I had the best time. Before I attended, I had a chance to talk with Soumaya with any questions or concerns I had, which was really nice to be able to get any nerves off my chest - as it was my first time travelling solo. I knew nothing of Bosnia, except that it was beautiful and since it was a halal tour - I would be ok in the food department! But my experience was something to treasure.
Behind the beauty, I also learnt of the history and the pain of the Bosnians - particularly though the genocide. Nedim kept us in the loop and was such a guiding presence throughout the whole trip. I want to say a big thank you to him and Soumaya especially, as I had some trouble with the hotel in Sarajevo, and they came to help me straight away and fixed the situation immediately. And everyday was full of fun activities and places to explore, that there never was a dull moment. I felt so taken care of and appreciated, and I sincerely miss Bosnia - as well as the beautiful friends I made (and still talk to!), everyday. Thank you Halal Travel Guide for this beautiful experience, and I can't wait to travel with you again!

This was my second trip with HTG and although Bosnia had never really been on my radar, my sister and I thought we would see what it's all about. And aren't we so very glad we did! It was stunningly beautiful, literally picture postcard perfect! Sarajevo had just the most amazing views with the quaint Old City shops close by, a river running through it and magnificent mountains a short drive away. With a knowledgeable and friendly travel guide we got to know Bosnia so well, including it's rich Islamic history. So much was packed into the short break including a cable car mountain ride and a day in the mountains, a day trip to the breathtakingly beautiful Mostar with gorgeous scenic views along the way, tasty authentic food and lunch at the serene Blagaj Dervish House...it was just simply brilliant from start to finish! In fact we loved it so much that my sister and I have already booked with HTG to return to Bosnia - this time for the Wild Bosnia trip in the summer as well. So if you're in two minds about travelling to Bosnia in the winter with HTG - all I can say is you should book without thinking twice as you won't be disappointed! We really do have the best memories of Bosnia, having loved every moment of it and can't wait to travel again with HTG. Thank you Soumaya and the HTG team for arranging everything so well as always!

What can I say, this was my first ever trip with HTG (I booked three trips at once-Bosnia, Uzbekistan and Andalusia) and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The trip was so well planned, and a feast for the eyes and soul.

I met some lovely ladies and have made friends for life.
Thanks to Soumaya and the HTG team for delivering such an awesome trip, I was in awe of the natural wonders of Bosnia-Herzegovina, including waterfalls, mountains, rivers, gorges, and so much Islamic heritage and history which is the main reason I travel for.
