Let me start by saying I am a repeat customer who will never go back to Dean banks either his restaurant at the Pompadour and the Harr at home. Agree with the other reviews the price exceeds the quality and this time I'm I've been left with a really bad taste in my mouth. We ordered the festive feast for new year. I'd actually planned to eat the meal on the 30th however without any warning it arrived a day early and everything was frozen. So no chance of it defrosting in time. I called them and they said this was because of the postal strike and overloading with couriers but as we paid £10 for a small overnight courier this shouldn't be the case. And I would have liked the choice because if I had known it was coming frozen, I would have cancelled my order. However I'm sure lots of other people would have done as well which is why they didn't ask.
The consistency of langoustine and lobster was rubbish because they had been frozen. I also decided to keep the steaks for another occasion as they were hard frozen already. I defrosted them today... one of them smells lovely the other one has brown on it and just doesn't smell very fresh. I am absolutely livid and will never use this lot again.

My wife and I have enjoyed many excellent Haar at Home and Wagyu Burger meals over the last couple of years and we have never been disappointed.

This weekend we had the limited edition 'Dulse at Home', combining the wonderful modern seafood dishes from Dulse with the excellence of Haar at Home, and it was excellent.

When we first opened the box, we were a wee bit concerned it didn’t look like very much, but the portions were perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed the different flavours. Preparation was very straightforward and it was a lot of fun recreating the artistic dishes.

We haven’t managed to visit Dulse in person yet and this was a great way to sample some of the dishes.

Please repeat this one.

We ordered a perfectly ok meal, it was fine, no complaints though not amazing. What we have experienced since needs flagging to potential customers. If you order a meal or make contact with them you will get deluged, literally on a daily basis from them. They change addresses so sending to junk doesn’t work. When I unsubscribed from emails I then started getting a torrent of text messages. Please be very careful using this firm, I for one really regret it.

Having received their emails for a while and admired their products, I was very excited to order the luxury lobster and crab box as a 40th wedding anniversary gift for my parents (to fit with the Ruby 40th)! I had ordered this a few weeks in advance, with the delivery scheduled perfectly in time for the day itself.

On the day of delivery (Friday), I received both an email from the delivery company (APC) as well as HAAR at home to say that the delivery had been delayed but that the food would be still fresh and delivered the following day (Saturday). Saturday comes, and no food arrives, nor have I had any correspondence or updated tracking details from APC and I can't get in contact with either HAAR at home or APC via phone or email.

Monday arrives and there is no answer still from HAAR at home on the phone (despite both times being within advertised opening hours) nor response to multiple emails. The box arrives, and unsurprisingly contents are no longer cold.

Multiple days later I have still not had any response to any form of contact despite multiple attempts over a number of days and frankly am very disappointed. I appreciate that sometimes delivery delays are out of HAAR at home's hands, however I am very let down by the clear lack of customer service, particularly for a box costing almost £100 - I have not had any response to emails nor any contact for what is effectively a faulty product provided.

It wasn't my intention to gift my parents food poisoning for their wedding anniversary...

I do not recognise the bad reviews on here because everything we have had from Haar has been excellent. I discovered them back in the summer of 21 and have since had several of their luxury boxes, the last one being the Burns night special. It was absolutely delicious. We have double lobster booked in for Valentine's can't wait!

We had a meal before Christmas from Haar. The lobster and crab meal itself was fine. The chocolate dessert we paid extra for was very bitter and for the price I expected more than a dessert in what was identical to a boot polish tin. All very overpriced though for what you get. The day after the meal we had stomach issues which I reluctantly reported to them. The customer service person I spoke to was very good and said she would look into the matter. She got back to me about a week later and said they could find no issues with the food. I accepted this as I cannot say for sure it was their meal. They gave me a voucher towards another meal. Not the full cost. We decided to try again. This time the crab linguine. The full price was £40. To be honest with the voucher we only paid less than half this for it but I was still very disappointed. The sauce lacked flavour and the loaf is only very small. The wine with it was also of a low standard. All in all I guess you are paying for the name but we will not be buying again as the cost is way above the quality.

If I could give this 0 stars I would! Measly lobster it had been starved for months before being caught! The carb was 90% brown meat the slaw average basically this Brocolli Must be gold dust - horrified please don’t buy!!! Please

I am moving this up a star since my last review as the delivery did actually arrive this time. However, the intransigent attitude remains. You have to have dessert. There is no possibility to just order a main and wine, with dessert as an optional extra if you want a particular box. 'No, you can just order one of our other boxes if you don't want dessert! Well, maybe I'd like linguine, without dessert. Now, I could still understand if there were just 'standard' boxes with no ability to add anything. But you can add to your heart's content - that is easily accommodated. But no can do if you want something removed. Puzzling, discriminatory and wasteful. I have unsubscribed from their communications and won't be ordering again.

Lobster kit arrived on time, well packed. Food awful. Supposed to feed 2-4. 4 buns.only enough lobster, dressing etc for 1-1.5 buns. Onion salad was one spring onion and few thin slices of cucumber. Haar refused to refund as kit delivered! Not interested in it being inedible.i cancelled the burger kit ordered for following week. Not interested.have contacted food standards agency £29 +7 pp as itison offer 😡 sent them photos...no comment to them

Just enjoyed amazing food prepared by Haar. Ordered the Deluxe Lobster and Wagyu Steak. Arrived next day as promised.
All easy to follow instructions to enjoy either by watching a video or step by step instructions.
Delicious and will be ordering again.
