I’m so grateful to have learned with Great Western Driving Academy and to have been able to pass first time with them!

My instructor Marcio was a superstar. Patient, friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

My daughter has SLD’s and whilst she has been attempting her theory test she has driven with James in the Automatic Car this has been great and she is very enthusiastic about her lessons. James knew how heartbreaking it was for her to not pass her theory on several attempts. Even with extra time and an OLM With severe dyslexia and dyscalculia and poor working memory a huge amount of small chunks of learning has been done in various ways. James told me their theory 1:1 lessons and we booked a double session a few days before her 7th test. She came home from the lesson more enthusiastic and positive and prepared than I have seen for a while. She spoke about how Stephen helped her through the questions and gave her the confidence to trust herself in this process. Total just 5 days later I received a very happy phone call from my daughter who has finally passed nearly a year and several attempts We are over the moon. Trust this 1:1 session. It is clearly something that works and can be adapted to suit the learner and help them accomplish a pass. Thank you Team 🥳

Lycia was an outstanding driving instructor. I came to her after failing my test with a previous instructor, and my confidence was really low. She was so patient and understanding, and worked with me to rebuild my confidence from the ground up. Her calm, encouraging approach and clear explanations made all the difference I finally felt ready and passed my test! I can’t thank her enough and would recommend her to anyone, especially if you’ve had a setback before. Five stars all the way!

I was with Marc, I couldn’t ask for a better instructor he would call me up on any silly mistakes I would do and he knew my true ability. On top of that it was great getting to know him over this period such a sound guy never awkward in that car of his. Highly recommend. Thank you again to Marc.

After being ill-prepared by a previous instructor, I switched to Great Western on the recommendation of family and friends. James was great at working through the bad habits picked up from my first instructor, and helped me feel more prepared for test, passing on my first go with Great Western. Would recommend.

Great western driving academy is a great company to learn with! They helped me achieve my pass this morning, they are very patient and mindful, I highly recommend, I was helped by a few of the instructors in the team and they are all brilliant!

I used the 1-2-1 Theory Support sessions, as I had little to low confidence in passing my test. Everything I was taught and had access to for revision I used on the day of my test, I managed to pass 1st time because of this. I couldn’t be more grateful to Steve & Jean for the 1-2-1 sessions. I Couldn’t recommend Great Western Driving Academy enough to anyone that is learning to drive or pass their theory!

Drove with James. I wasn’t confident going into it but his teaching showed me how to tackle all the manoeuvres and challenges methodically and meant I managed to pass my test first time. Would recommend strongly to anyone who wants to learn.

I recently passed my driving test and couldn't have done it without my instructor's help (Roque Rodrigues). He was patient, professional, and always took the time to explain everything clearly and in detail. He listened to my concerns, helped me build my confidence, and worked with me on my weaknesses until I felt comfortable and capable.

Simons a top bloke. Helped me from day 1 with a clear explanation of what we were doing and how we would progress for the test. Always good to talk to him and catch up definitely recommend to others.

Luis has been a great instructor for me. He is calm when I made mistakes and gives me an opportunity to try and fix it before he intervenes. Well aware of the surroundings spotting things that I don't notice while I learn to drive. I felt safe progressing through new things in the driving curriculum with him. He also went ahead and taught me things that may not be required for the test but is essential to know when you are an independent driver, for example, how to fuel your car at a gas station. Very patient, informative and dedicated. An instructor who is always willing to go the extra mile to take you to success. Thank you again, I can give you five stars my eyes closed. All the best.

Ive been working with Luis for 2 and a half months and in that time, ive gone from never being behind the wheel of a car to passing my test, he helped me work on my nerves and anxiety, gave me chances to fix my own mistakes before asking if I wanted his advice to fix them. I would 100% recommend Luis to anyone with high anxiety. His instructions are very clear and if you dont get it first time, we will explain it more thoroughly and make sure you understand what hes trying to say. Ive had nothing but great experiences with Luis and great western driving academy.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to James for all your help and patience during my driving lessons. You’ve made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel, and your calm teaching style really helped me improve.

Simon was my first driving instructor and after one lesson I knew I had a good one! Passed my test first try because of him. We took everything at my pace until I was ready for the next step and his instructions were as clear as could be. My confidence grew every lesson and i felt more and more relaxed as Simon was very patient when I was struggling and whatever problem I had it’d always be fixed shortly after. Had great conversations too felt like a mate was teaching me how to drive! Couldn’t recommend him enough to any new driver or someone that took a break.
