Quick decline…can’t be many curators in their network & the ones they have are primarily YouTube vs Spotify. Beware. “Keep doing what you are doing, and we will be happy to listen to more music from you. Sadly, we don’t think this is the right track for us at the moment, and we will have to decline. We are continually adding more playlists to our roster and engaging with new curators.” Update: reached out after their response and have heard nothing.

A scam
A scam. To send a lot of newsletter, they're pretty good at it. But to find one playlist for my music, they were pitiful. I ask why, they said, my music is not that good. Bruh, I had more than 20 playlists entries by myself for the same song when I try this solution. I DO NOT recommend

Just to clarify, playlist placements are never guaranteed through our service. We pitch your music to 80–90% of the relevant curators in our network, but the final decision always rests with the curators themselves. Guaranteeing placements would be considered payola and would violate Spotify's Terms of Service.
The fee you pay is for curator review and consideration, not for guaranteed playlist placements. This is the same model used by platforms such as SubmitHub, Groover, and PlaylistPush.
We've always tried to be transparent about this. The way our service works is outlined in our FAQs, and there's also a disclaimer on the submission page before payment is made and there's a disclaimer on the final submission email you receive as well

GreaseRelease exceeded my expectations
GreaseRelease exceeded my expectations. I submitted one of my indie pop tracks and was genuinely impressed by how quickly they responded. Not only did they accept my song, but they added it to a real, curated playlist without any delays. The professionalism and transparency throughout the process was refreshing. Unlike other services I've tried, this actually feels legitimate. My track is now on "one POPsicle please" and I'm confident in recommending GreaseRelease to any independent artist looking for real playlist placements. Highly recommended!"

Definitely a scam
Definitely a scam. I never paid for you to review my music, I paid for you to get us on a playlist. We currently have a radio pluggin coming up and wanted to start building a momentum before it started. You clearly are scamming folks and refuse to actually do what you advertise your service as…we will be refunded wether you like it or not.

To your pathetic response that you copied and pasted on all factual low rating. It’s clear as day that you don’t understand the definition of Payola. Your company has plethora of playlist advertised on “Your website”that you own and claim are real listeners. We pay you to place us on those! Not pitch us to random playlist, if that was the case I would’ve used those service you listed. Marketing is what it’s considered, let’s get that straight! In Hollywood you have to market yourself in order to be seen and be familiarized. Plus all of this is documented you continuously scam folks. Please refrain from copying and pasting the tired excuse of Payola $19? Sir Bye! As stated we have top interviews and radio plays coming up, the universe will deal with scammers like yourself.

Edit: We understand your frustration, but we want to clarify this as accurately as possible.
At no point do we advertise guaranteed playlist placements. Our service is for pitching your music to independent playlist curators in our network for consideration, not for directly paying for placements. Guaranteeing placements in exchange for payment would be Payola, which violates Spotify’s policies and industry standards, and that is something we do not engage in.
The playlists listed on our platform represent the curator network we pitch to, they are not spots that are sold directly. The fee covers the submission process, curator review, and the opportunity for your track to be considered, exactly as explained in our FAQs and shown before checkout.
We never intend to mislead anyone, and we take accusations of scamming seriously. We’ve helped thousands of independent artists through transparent playlist pitching and music marketing services, and all communication regarding your campaign is documented.

Disappointing to be rejected but got a 50% refund
My song which has had previous numerous playlistings and for which I've had no previous negative feedback, I sent to Greaserelease as a 'test' to see how reliable a service it might be........The email response was full of glowing comments initially, until the 'however' part and they admitted they don't (at the time of writing) have playlists to accommodate a 'slow paced' song (despite the song being 122 BPM - typically classified as a moderate-to-fast, energetic tempo, often described as Allegro (fast, quick, and bright). On the plus side, Tushar and the team were very courteous, offering a 50% refund which I have accepted. So this review which was originally 1 star has now been upgraded to 3 stars to reflect the more positive outcome.

A very easy process
A very easy process. We like to test the water with any new promo company we use, so we tried the one track playlist option for 19 dollars. After a few days we received an email to show the track is now on a large, genre specific playlist. The playlist has an average rating and is at least regularly updated and has an organic, real following, so should get us a few streams. I think bang for buck, this is ok. Will investigate a bigger, more strategy driven campaign with Greaserelease.

Good playlisting option!
Grease Release is a good playlisting service, their process is simple & clear, and the results have been good so far. I'm able to track the progress on the playlists through my Spotify for Artists platform. Writing this a month after my tracks were added to the playlists. Looking forward to sending them more tracks, definitely worth a try. :)

Our process is exactly as outlined on our site. We submit tracks to independent curators for consideration, but placement is never guaranteed. The decision to add or reject a track is entirely up to the curator, based on their own technical and creative criteria. When a track isn’t chosen, we pass along their feedback as transparently as possible.
I know this doesn’t change your experience, but I want to assure you there’s no “scam” here. We work like every other submission platform out there.
