Efficient energy supplier.

I have been with goto.energy for a couple of years now and found them to have a quick & efficient service with competitive tariffs. They send a reminder every month for meter readings and the bill normally follows a few days later. When I have had to contact customer service either by mail or by phone, they have answered quickly and sorted the issue promptly.
My only gripe is with the industry pricing structure in general, I do not understand why the cost of 100% green energy supplied by goto (& others) should be linked to and subject to price rises in the oil and gas market, since the cost of generation is unchanged.

I wasn't altogether happy with how my Credit was being used. I have £400 Credit and I understood the Government were making it so credit was returned to you. I understand some of the credit may be held but I did think some would have been returned to me? With that aside I have been very happy and impressed with how the Company keeps me informed and up to date. I also feel we should support our English Companies.So thank you for that.

I can confirm that as the average customer uses 75% of their yearly gas usage and 55% of their electricity usage during the months of October-March, this often results in your winter bills being up to 3 times higher than your summer bills. Therefore, over the summer months, you build up a credit balance so that your monthly payments are still covering your higher winter usage. This is set out in the terms of your contract when you first join goto.energy.

I am pleased to see that you agreed to renew your contract with goto.energy for another year on a lower Direct Debit taking your credit balance into consideration. I am also pleased to hear that you have been happy with the service we have provided throughout your contract.

Having been with goto for a few years…

UPDATE -
GOTO contacted me first thing this morning to ensure my enquiry was looked into and resolved promptly. The Complaints Representative was very helpful and couldn't do enough to help me. They have set up the DD to clear off the final bill only and now I am extremely satisfied with this outcome. Thank you for such a prompt response to my review.

Original enquiry- Having been with goto for a few years and previously leaving 5 star reviews, I am now at the end of my contact. I'm switching suppliers on the 5th of September and my DD is due to come off on 30th of August, I'm now £45 in credit but they are charging my standard DD of £245, 5 days before I switch. Male on phone today stated it would take around a month to get a refund after switching. Told me if I cancel my DD I would need to pay an extra £25 and they would also mark my credit report as failed payment. VERY UNHAPPY that I'm expected to pay £245 direct debit when in credit and due to leave.

I have used a number of energy…

I have used a number of energy companies over the years but have to say GoToEnergy is best by miles. They deliver what they say at a very competitive price and are always ready and able to sort out any queries which may arise.
My direct debit allows me to build up a surplus for future bills.
I am aware of the forthcoming price hike in energy prices but happy to stay with GoTo who could not have been more helpful and accommodating.

I'm delighted to see that you would regard us as the best energy company that you have ever used. I'm happy to see that we have delivered on our promises and that you are benefitting from our competitive rates.

We equally split the annual cost of your energy by 12 months. Therefore, we anticipate that there will be some months where the cost of your consumption is higher or lower than the Direct Debit amount. Therefore, in the summer period, your bills are likely to be lower than your Direct Debit. However, this should build a credit on your account, which can be used to offset the additional consumption cost in the winter period.

I see that you've recently renewed on a new fixed tariff, so the anticipated rise in unit rates on the Standard Variable Tariff won't affect you. Your unit rates and standing charges have been locked in for 12 months.

How can one review an energy supplier ?
Easy to submit readings and get monthly reminders. Bill appears a few days later.
Update and call when tariff is ready to expire , offer the next best deal. They do all these things :-)
Their Account Dashboard is one of the easiest to use and understand for the purposes of comparison when considering switching.
I have found them very competitive for the last few years ....even this year ( August 2021 ) when energy suppliers are increasing prices with glee .

Having worked in the utilities industry for 20 years I am well acquainted with the big 6. goto energy as a smaller supplier have provided cheaper bills with first class customer service. I definitely recommend goto as a supplier, it's good to give the little guy a chance.

What’s not to like!

I switched to goto last year and have just renewed for another year. Great prices and excellent customer service. I really like the monthly email reminding me to take my meter readings which are easy to submit and enable me to receive an accurate bill ensuring I keep on top of usage and costs

God's answer time on calls.

Didn't have to wait ages for my call to be answered. Person on the phone was polite and very helpful.
One slight moan. They can't fit a smart meter for me immediately. There is a wait of two or three months.
