Still haven’t been paid after two months. Incredibly unprofessional, opaque, and shady practices when it comes to compensating people who work events.

Worked a Goodera event and they were supposed to pay me and reimburse me for transportation two weeks after the event. The day goes by and I do not receive payment. I message the people from Goodera I had been in contact with to cohost the event with no response. I emailed the person I had sent my checking account information to and another host operation associate. I was told I would actually be paid on the 24th of the next month with NO explanation.

The 24th of the next month rolls around and I still have not been paid. I once again message everyone I spoke to. No response. I message Goodera Ambassadors Help and finally get a response saying that the bank transfer failed on their end, that I would be paid the next cycle IN A MONTH, and asked if PayPal was an option.

Why was this not presented to me as an option in the first place? Why did they not notify me that my payment failed? A friend who worked this same event also has not been paid. Incredibly unprofessional, opaque, and shady practices when it comes to compensating people who work events. I would not recommend working with Goodera.

Promising Potential but Room for Improvement

Goodera Ambassadors : I recently had the opportunity to engage with Goodera, and while I was initially excited about the potential for collaboration, my experience has raised some concerns that I feel are worth sharing.
Goodera promotes itself as an inclusive and well-organized platform, which was a key factor in my decision to get involved. However, when I attempted to provide constructive feedback, I encountered a noticeable lack of engagement. This has prompted me to question how receptive the organization truly is to input that could spur growth and improvement.
Additionally, I experienced significant delays in communication, with several of my emails going unanswered. In an organization that emphasizes its mission and values, this gap in responsiveness has been disheartening, particularly as I was eager to explore effective ways to collaborate.
If Goodera aims to engage a younger audience, prioritizing open communication and timely responses could enhance the overall experience for potential partners. These elements are essential for fostering collaboration and building trust.
I hope this feedback encourages Goodera to reflect on its practices and improve its communication strategies. Addressing these concerns could lead to a better experience for everyone involved.
Looking forward to seeing how Goodera evolves in the future!

Supportive culture, and Enriching experiences

Opportunities to Challenge Satus Quos: The management and the teams regardless of the task or challenge, always allows you to set higher benchmarks of performance and standards of excellence. In a way this helped me challenge the "status quo" of monitoring and evaluation frameworks of CSR projects and worked together with teams to define a more robust frameworks for clients. This helped me grow my skills substantially and understand the sector in a more nuanced way.

Opportunity to work with C-level executive: My work at the organization gave me an early exposure on working the fast and nuanced requirements of C-level executives. It’s an amazing experience to deliver and present a detailed requirement. The whole journey itself is a big learning process.

Opportunity to work in diverse sector non-profit partners: Got enriching experience and learnings from the on-ground workers of 50+ non-profit partners from diverse sectors. It was a unique opportunity to learns the implementation process and problems of so many diverse and innovative CSR projects. The cherry on top was when you also work with corporates to support non-profit partners in re-aligning their processes during challenging times.

Truly, the experience has fostered my skills and provided an exponential push to my learnings.
