Purchase was straight forward.
Gillies jept me informed about the delivery date including a confirmation text the day before delivery.
Delivery guys were punctual and polite, and unpackaged everything and placed the items where I wanted them. They also removed all packaging.

All staff very helpful. Delivery was spot on time and the guys did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend

Good delivery service from drivers of 1 sofa however when ordered the other sofa it stated in stock and after purchasing I was informed it was not available until may.
The website gave me an option to select a free footstool with my order however again after purchasing I was informed this was an error and I would not receive a footstool.

We visited Gillies in Perth on the 19th and had an excellent experience from start to finish. We were assisted by Billy Maguire, who was thorough, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything clearly and ensured we fully understood our options without any pressure.
What stood out most was his considerate and attentive approach. He really listened to our needs and tailored his advice accordingly, which made the whole process feel straightforward and comfortable. He also assisted us in completing our final purchase, ensuring everything was handled smoothly.
A genuinely positive experience, and we would highly recommend both Gillies and Billy Maguire to anyone looking for helpful, professional service.

Gillies is a beautiful shop in Inverness where we bought our furniture (bed, mattress, dressing table and dinner table). The sales personnel was professional, friendly and extremely helpful. We were quite happy with the result.
Where it started to go wrong, was the delivery. It took ten weeks instead of the promised five to six. When the goods arrived, it was the wrong mattress and the wrong dressing table. Gillies rectified the mistake within one week, though. If the delivery service can be improved, I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Informed day before of delivery time slot. On actual day delivery was on time and Staff were polite,respectful and very helpful in moving furniture back and forth. Cleaned and hoovered as they worked keeping dust to a minimum. Asked if there was anything else we needed help with before they left.
Carpets fitted over 2 days. Excellent service

From the store visit to delivery everyone was great. We were there to purchase a sofa and armchair. Ruaridh the sales guy was brilliant. I know he's there to sell but he wasn't pushy and left us alone when needed and was around if we had any questions. (didn't try and steer us to more expensive sofas etc. and came back to us with the Martindale Rub Count as it wasn't to hand ) he was at the end of the phone when we needed as well. We had around three visits before making a decision.
The Gillies delivery guys were superb, cannot fault their dedication and resolve (wish I had got their names) Our place is an old cottage so there is not a lot of room at the entrance and has some awkward turns to our sitting room. We got the old sofa out ourselves which was bigger so presumed the new one would fit easily.... Hmmmmm! The new one which was not as long but a few cm wider just wasn't going to get in. The two guys realised the armrest ends were removable (which was a little worrying at first) and took it back to the van and removed the arms, got the sofa in then put it back together and you would have never known. Good job! They also showed me as they were going along what to do in case we ever move or have to get it back out again.
Last suite we bought was from the big Sofa Carpet Specialist competitor and they were rubbish... Pushy sales and on delivery just left the suite in the garden because they said it wouldn't fit and drove away - the wife and my sister got it in!
All in all a great experience from all at Gillies. Will defo use again.
Can't say anything about after service as we have just taken delivery... if there is a problem, watch this space but I'm sure all will be well.

From sales to delivery, my experience at Gillies was great from start to finish.
The sales person was very professional, knowledgeable and had the right presence in that he did not jump on us as soon as we walked in the door or follow us about. He gave us time and space to make our decision.
Emails and communications were answered quickly and every question was answered without hesitation.
Delivery went well, even giving a 1/2 hour time slot (with tracking) to see where the delivery was. Great if you are working and can just nip home when they are near.
