Disapointed

Placed a new order for Fibre on 2nd August and selected the date of 13th August for installation. I called up 3 days later as I hadn't heard anything from Giganet since a pre-contract was emailed to me.

Spoke to Andrew who said he would chase it up. I called again 2 days later to be told Installation department had confirmed that the installation would happen on 13th August.

I then received an email confirming appointment for 30th August!! Called back and again spoke to Andrew who was as confused as I was. He again sent message to the department to get some clarification.

Called up the following day and spoke to Ashleigh who escalated the ticket. Ashleigh again confirmed everything her side said 13th August.

Today (9th August) I've received an email to say my Installation email is correct and that there was a apparently a bug in the system which allows dates to be booked despite them not being available.

I have responded as the website is still offering installation dates before 30th!! As yet no response.

Really disapointed and we haven't even got Internet yet and have to wait a total of 4 weeks for it to be even fitted. Fingers crossed they actually arrive on that date.

Numerous phone calls made and no one seems to know what's happening. If I could get Fibre elsewhere I'd cancel my order!!

Extremely poor customer service

On 09.07.24 I was offered an installation date of 31.07.24.
No engineer turned up. I contacted Giganet. The customer service person was friendly and said she would follow this up and sent me a copy of the email and case number.

On Thursday 02.08.24 mid afternoon I received an appointment confirmation for 21.08.24.

I have since tried to communicate with Giganet via email with the case number etc in the trail. I have got nowhere and have since heard about the bad customer service.

I am concerned about the poor customer care I a receiving at a time that I can rescind the contract and can only wonder what the customer service is like when I am locked into it.

It was kind of alright, eventually.

We upgraded to Full Fibre broadband earlier this year and went with Giganet. The setup all went well and we were able to get the Eero installed and the internet worked just fine. Not noticeably any faster than our old internet's speed, but it was decent.

Then for months we kept having intermittent problems with connecting upstairs devices to the wifi, and also the PS5 wouldn't connect to the network without restarting the router, which was very annoying and inconvenient to do each time.

The support team did their best to help and were very helpful, polite, easy to get in touch with and quick to reply. It took several attempts over a period of time to resolve the issues, but the delay in getting the problem solved was partly on me due to being very busy with work this year and not having the time to keep replying and checking the issues at each stage.

We bought a wifi booster for upstairs, which partially solved the problem, but we still had intermittent issues and the PS5 still didn't work.

We were then told to buy better Ethernet cables (category 8 instead of the category 5 we were using). This was disappointing, because Giganet provided a cable with the router, but clearly this wasn't the right quality or we wouldn't have had these problems.

This fixed the issue with the upstairs devices, but not the PS5, but I found a way around it by changing the DNS settings in the PS5 when connecting to the network.

Since then it has been fine for the last couple of weeks, but overall I'd say upgrading to Fibre honestly isn't worth it. We've got good service now, but it isn't noticeably better than the old broadband internet.

I also really feel if the service requires a category 8 Ethernet cable to work properly, then we should have been provided one, rather than paying £12 to buy one ourselves.

Just had a call from Simon at Giganet who, to cut a (very) long story short, has finally sorted out my order and installation date for me. Excellent direct, personal service, for which I'm very grateful

All good reviews are reviewing the sales service!

Like 99+% of the 5 star reviews here, I am going to review the door to door sales service. If those reviews are permitted then I am merely doing the same. Des (Wimborne area) was very pleasant and patient when explaining or listening to concerns. I almost decided to sign but thought to check the reviews first. I notice a distinct pattern that all bar one of the good reviews are reviewing the sales service but make it clear that they have NOT yet been connected. From those who HAVE been connected in the past months, there is unfortunately only one good review and the many others tell a very disappointing story that the good sales and 'signing up service' is very clearly not carried through to the post installation customer service. Sadly, it is clear that, as yet, giganet is not providing a reliable service. It also appears that the very nice and capable sales personnel are suggesting to future customers that they review the pre-connection service they have been given, naming the sales person. Which is not at all useful. Just relieved to have worked this out before signing. A narrow escape. Maybe the sales people could be given ongoing customer service responsibility as they do a good job at the initial stage? Update: Just found another review from June that confirms as I suspected. To quote, "Be aware they ask you to post a review after ordering but before receiving a service. When reading the 5 star reviews see if you can spot how many are reviewing a service they've not actually received." This is exactly the deceitful and misleading practice that I wish to expose.

Fast and reliable internet in Bishopstoke

I have been using Giganet for 7 months now, the internet has been very reliable and fast, we play games in our house and the download and upload is far better than BT which was on copper cable. Victor visited us after all this time and asked me for a honest opinion about our experience, it’s been great so far, I hope Giganet can keep keep up and provide us a reliable service as it is now. Thanks to Victor that helped us at the very beginning in having a smooth transition. Would definitely recommend.

I’m extremely disappointed with Giganet…

I’m extremely disappointed with Giganet fibre broadband. Despite repeated requests, their engineers never showed up to fix my WiFi, leaving me without service for so many days. Their customer service is terrible, and I had no choice but to cancel today. I expected much better from a reputed company. Avoid at all costs!

Professional and friendly service

We've just signed up to Giganet FullFibre 500 after it became available in the area. Victor Fodor was really helpful and explained everything clearly, allowing us to make an informed decision with no hard sell. He gave us the time we needed to check things over and came back later when we were ready. Very professional and friendly service

Shambolic.

Giganet/All Points Fibre took over my line, without any order or contract, cancelling my Vodafone service.

I used to have an account with Giganet and already had to raise a complaint after shambolic cancellation process - well it turns out it's gotten even worse as giganet seems to have decided to resurrect my account without my permission.

Avoid like the plague

Avoid this company at all cost only there to take your money and don't want to fix any issues

Avoid this company at all cost been out off Internet for 8 days now rang customer service at least twice a day get told same lie technically team will ring,they don't ring. Keep going around in circles and at the same time no Internet. Went to cancel told have to give 30 day notice most probably with no Internet as can't get issue fixed. Seams that they are incompetent at this and only want your money

Fine as long as things work ok.....

Had Giganet installed in my old home, no issues, Guys turned up, installed it, blistering fast internet great. Online portal to manage account never worked properly and the teams couldn't work out why. However I wasn't bothered because I was getting what I was paying for. currently 4 stars

Then I moved house.........

Not a problem, close down old account - open new account - they even price matched my old account - great success.

Ordered the new broadband 12th June 24 was told installation was going to be 26th June, ok not too bad.

anyway - 26th June comes around - made sure had day off work, no one shows up. Few calls latter apparently I should of been told a new date. The 1st July - which I couldn't do because no one would be in the house. I said this was unacceptable because of lack of communication. Also I was due to start work abroad 1st July and needed the internet to communicate with my family.

The young customer service colleague managed to get my personal mobile number to a technical team, with the agreement that if a customer drops out they will try and contact me 'on the fly'. The plan worked and the guys popped over and installed the kit 28th June. Amazing result....

However - there was no signal coming down the line. The Technician essentially said not to worry he would raise a service ticket.

it is now 20th July and after various emails, phone calls, ignored emails there is still no solution. Apparently another "full installation" is required. However a date for that hasn't even been set. My wife has had to purchase extra data allowance on her mobile phone, all our streaming services we have to continue paying for, I have a young child who doesn't quite understand why her tablet isn't working properly.

This is all going on while I am working abroad and cant communicate with my family easily.

The term "information black hole" has been used on these reviews and I think its true. The young CS colleagues are being thrown under the bus as they are having to deal with irate customers. It seems like no one can just 'grasp the nettle' and fix problems.

The irony is, we have had one of our neighbors get Giganet installed into there house only a few days ago without any problem.

Again - when it works without a hitch its great - fast, good value.

As soon as a problem develops the entire system grinds to a halt.

Not Impressed. If you engage this company for internet services you are literally rolling the dice to see if you actually get said services.

Considering how vital broadband is now to running a modern home I find it shocking that dealing with issues is done in such a poor and hap hazard way.

Use at your own risk.

Good signing up experience

We had a card through our door from Des Day informing us that Giganet was now available in our road. After a phone call he was promptly round for vist to explain the deals and offers that were available. Des was a polite and approachable person and made the signing up process very easy and smooth.

Giganets fibre broadband

We recently had Giganet install fibre broadband down our road. Shortly after we had a knock from Des Day, enquiring whether we would be interested in taking on Giganets fibre Broadband. He was very polite and knowledgeable and treated us with respect. No hard sales. We are now awaiting installation on the date we agreed.

Great first introduction to Giganet

Had an initial doorstep meeting with Des Ray concerning Giganet full fibre installation in our area,
due to time restraints on other date was made.
Des fully explained the merits and advantages over other suppliers, we were very impressed with all the detailed easy to understand technical information.
Des was extremely helpfully, knowledgeable and approachable. We we were very happy with the overall packages available and arranged for the installation.
Des demonstrated excellent customer service which we regard as our number one priority.
