Recent fault/outage
Recent fault/outage. Staff at call centre were good although they could not help in a practical way ie actually fix the problem. The technical dept never contacted me as requested and just kept doing remote testing. Eventually an engineer called and fixed the connection in the outside box. Took 5mins max.
The whole saga lasted from the 20.June until the 28.June. During this period I experienced intermittent faults ending with a total outage for 3days. I did however receive excellent support and information from Des Day one of the field executives. Summarising I would say I had a mixed experience. ( I pressed the wrong rating star. Should have been 3).

Great service. Great deal. Flexible contract.
I'd been struggling with my Internet provider with poor coverage & regular drop out. I was waiting for Giganet to become available in my area (Wimborne) and Des Day knocked on my door at just the right time. He was polite, informative and not at all pushy. I've been given a great deal. There was an initial problem of connection to my property but he sorted it & kept me informed all the way. I now have an installation date & a flexible contract. THANKS DES!

Des who works for Giganet knocked on my door last month and informed me that full fibre was now available in my area (Wimborne). I very rarely, if ever buy something from a sales person at the front door. I was however very impress with his honest, friendly and no pressure sales pitch. I was however locked into a 12 month contract with another provider whose speed was very poor, losing my connection at least once a month for short periods. I took his leaflet and contact details. I have now agreed an exit date with my old provider and gave Des a ring yesterday. He was in the area and said that he would be round in 15 mins. Once again he was very efficient and explained clearly Giganet’s possibilities. I was very impressed and agreed a date to receive the faster upload and download speed in 3 weeks time. I will certainly recommend him to my family and friends and am now looking forward to a much improved service.

I will give them 1 star for the impeccable performance i received in the 6 months.
I’ll begin by owning this farce as I have no legal excuses for my lack of budgeting skills.
I ordered giganet in January, for my first ever single occupant tenancy, from my local council. I had a filled the contract and debit obligations as to their satisfaction.
Each month I had an email with the charge pending.
Each time, I thought I would login to their portal.
I entered my account details. (Email) was given a link to verify. After clicking the link, was redirected to the email verification link. Upon doing so. It went back to the verification link.
I gave up.
Now this happened with EVERY SINGLE INVOICE. With each invoice, giving the exact same information. Which was the amount due for the said month.
I have had no contact. No attempted phone calls. No letters. Not one email, telling me that the direct debit did not set up.
I had no reason, therefore to double check that the monthly payments had come out. (Call me lacklustre. But does everyone double check everything, daily in their bank account activities??)
I have just recently received an email from an operative. Telling me my services have been suspended. And will be terminated 5 days later. 25th, June. If arreas were not cleared.
I made a call to GIGANET. Was told by the call agent that I can make a payment plan and upon first payment, my services will be restored and continue upon 2 more payments following.
I had to try to scrape the first payment required, so I asked if could make this arrangement in a day or two. I was advised of course.
Cut to 25th. My second ever personal email received. Telling my services have been permanently cancelled!!!
I reiterate. They offered NO access to my account.
They made not ONE courtesy call
Not ONE bill reminder
Not ONE email, to alert me of 6 MONTHS of failed Debit attempts

AVOID
Recently just canceled our contact due to them trying charge x2 everything month. They Disconnected our service and through no fault of our own. The customer service is shocking they have no clue & will tell you lie after lie. We was left without Internet for 4 days then we gave up and canceled and went with virgin again. Would definitely avoid. Giganet internet was fine but as soon as you have problem they dont want to know!

I had great hopes with this company GIGANET
I had great hopes with this company. They advertise greater , more reliable and cheaper speeds. However they don’t seem able to supply you even when you’ve registered with them over a year ago, ( not received any updates ) then to see that for many months they’ve been randomly digging up the whole estate where I live (Totton ) and installing pipe work and cabling, only to still be told that they CAN’T SAY WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE. They bleat about their customer service and focus but you get treated like a mushroom.

This standard AI reply is what you would expect from this company. How about publishing the project plan. Road by Road Install dates. Then Dates when these will be going live. Why not share some real information with the residents of Totton / potential customers.

Mark had called a week before we…
Mark had called a week before we encountered another episode with Sky who blamed everything on BT. On top of the poor speeds, price rises mid contract and the lengthy waits getting through to their call centre, it was an easy decision to call up Mark and go ahead with Giganet. It went in as planned and now enjoying 5 x speed at half the cost, plus flexible penalty free contract. Thank you Giganet

We have been encountering problems for…
We have been encountering problems for over 10 days however the ACTUAL support is scant and late.
The technical team days to respond and willing to blame carrier.
Even so sending engineer, despite requests, is not in their system. We had to spend over £400.00 and external I.T. support to deal with it. They sent new Router but we had to set it up. Again for down for 3 days and speed is 35% of what is expected.
If you are looking a quality or service or support ensure it is in contract.

Cut off unexpectedly, now effecting work
Received an email advising a payment is outstanding and that they 'unfortunatley cannot cut off my internet' - checked back and it was a direct debit that had bounced from 6 months earlier. I had not noticed it had bounced and was only made aware a week prior to this review. The email also stated I could be cut off within a week if no contact made.
I contacted them twice via email authorising the payment be taken; I received an email yesterday saying my Internet would sion be cut off, despite contacting to say take payment. I again authorised payment be take n. I tried to log on to work this morning as I work from home, which I require Internet to do, and was told despite them receiving my emails someone had not read notes,jumped the gun and terminated my connection.
To make matters worse they could not reconnect me, had no resolution to get me reconnected and confirmed they had processed my payment for the upcoming month!!
Do not waste your time with this company - they are merging to become part of cukoo and I get the feeling nobody cares.
Take a few extra minutes to find another provider. I now have no Internet for 2 weeks while I wait for the fibre infrastructure company to come out and change the connection. 2 weeks of not being able to work: disgusting service.

They don't even deserve 1 star - SCAMMERS
If I could give zero stars I would. This company is an absolute shambles I think it must be run by 3 year olds. Completely incompetent. Firstly we get a salesman to the door promising an installation time of just 1 weeks- brilliant, we go for it. Then they move it to 3 and a half weeks later... So we've now gone over 4 weeks with no WiFi in the house. Not ideal. 2 days before our promised date they move it again to 1 week later!!!! This is after they sent an email to confirm the date!
When we asked why has this been moved we get "Our system unfortunately does not give an explanation as to why your installation date has been changed."
How on EARTH can a company not know why they've rescheduled on us AGAIN?!
I opened a complaint that was ignored, anytime I opened a ticket it was closed with no response. This has been the WORST customer experience I've ever had in my life and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. supposedly fast WiFi is not worth the hassle they put you through to try and get it installed. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Friendly, informative and a fantastic deal
Des Day called on us today. I’ve been with BT for years and despite paying a lot each month had patchy broadband. Des explained everything clearly and simply so I could understand what he could offer. He was polite, understanding and offered me an amazing deal which I signed up to. I’m saving 1/2 of what I was paying AND receiving a faster speed. Thanks Des!
