Highly NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Purchase premium health insurance for myself and my family member personally(not my company). Since last September used them few times for basic check ups. They rejected basic blood tests after fasting for 16 hours and waiting for them 3 hours. Called them 10 times (literary) within 3 hours. They kept on asking additional information from hospital. Eventually my doctor spoke to insurance personnel and explained that all requested notes, previous test results were submitted as requested. He denied receiving it. After few seconds he admitted that he did not open the attachments. Even after that they rejected and asked again for information. When they had information again, they rejected 70% of basic blood tests requests. When I called them 11th time and asked how I can cancel the insure and what would be my refund amount, insurance guy replied I will not get any refund regardless still I have over 6 months available as I purchase medical insurance packages through brokerage company Pacific Prime and the broker registered me as company sponsored. Regardless I purchased both medical insurances personally myself. Upto now we basically used nothing out of premium policy we purchased due to them keep on rejecting. Big SCAM!!!

Originally, I intended to renew my existing policy with another provider, but the process dragged on and they were a bit unresponsive. I then approached GIG, and everything was completed – at a more competitive price. I was guaranteed that I can take out GCC wide cover at any time later.
I now approached them and have been denied such Insurance.
This is a breach of trust.

This insurance company does not uphold the spirit of the insurance promises that it makes. My wife and children experienced delays in Dubai resulting in missed connections and arriving at their destination more than 16 hours later than scheduled. The insurance is supposed to provide compensation for flights that are 6 hours or more delayed. Their excuse is that since the original flight in the chain was only 4 hours and 4 minutes late, they are not obliged to pay any compensation. Do not use this insurance provider, they will find ways not to repay when things go wrong.

UPDATED 01/03/2026 - please note that the reply below from GIG is just for show. They still have not upheld the spirit of the policy. I sent a message as requested to the email in the reply. The company did not reply to my truspilot initiated email.

However, the company did reply to an earlier email in which they purely quoted policy, saying that since the original flight was just over 4 hours delayed, they have no liability, even though the delay meant that my wife, and two children were 16 hours delayed arriving at their destination.

Just imagine, two hungry children, extremely tired because of delays, getting frustrated with the Mother because of the back and forth with the airline. Imaging the stress of the Mother. Yet the insurer has no compassion to this situation - just coldly quoted policy.

My advice: DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY FOR TRAVEL. They will find ways NOT TO UPDHOLD THE SPIRIT OF THE POLICY you purchase.

Worst experience with GIG Insurance. After purchasing a Schengen policy, my visa got refused and they denied any refund. I even asked to change it to a Turkey plan/start date and they still refused. Zero customer support and no flexibility.
