A Five-Star System with Five-Star Support 🌟

I’ve been with Slick from the very beginning, and I’ve been consistently impressed by both the software and the team behind it.

The booking system is incredibly comprehensive, giving me everything I need to run my salon efficiently. I particularly value the business reporting and revenue insights, which give me a clear overview of how my business is performing. The stock control, detailed client records, and appointment management are all excellent, and the automated text reminders are a feature I wouldn’t want to be without—they’ve made a real difference in reducing missed appointments.

What really sets Slick apart is the people. The team are always responsive, approachable, and genuinely helpful whenever support is needed. They’re constantly listening to feedback and introducing new features and improvements, so the system continues to evolve alongside my business.

It’s refreshing to work with a company that combines powerful software with such outstanding customer support. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Slick to any salon looking for a reliable, innovative, and supportive booking system.

The salon system everyone should have..

Slick is so easy to use and are always on hand to help with any queries we may have as quickly as possible. They offer so much for than just a diary for your bookings, with education on more than just how to use the system but with actual business advice. Everything is super clear and no hidden fees or surprises. I couldn't be happier with slick.

Great customer service!

First of all, I have worked in a salon before with Slick, and had no faults. Very good system, no negative comments to report.
Fast forward to now, I own my own business and currently use another booking system, I chose that company through word of mouth and have always been happy with them. It was a close family member by the name of Jess, who is working with Slick who brought the booking system back to my attention. I decided to try the free trial, I downloaded the App, which is new, I hadn't used it before and it's an easy app, simple and straight forward. Both booking systems are on parr with each other, cost just being the one factor to me that makes it a deciding vote. The system I use at the moment is cheaper, but I haven't received and one to one help, nor felt like I've had any support for the last three years, but because of the cost factor I was going to cancel my free subscription to Slick, if it hadn't of been for the two young ladies who spoke to me Phoebe and Maddie I wouldn't be one of their customers today. They looked after me, managed to get me a good deal, better than what I'm getting with my current provider so I'm a very happy bunny. Couldn't ask for more, so I'm looking forward to using their system. Thanks everyone at Slick :)

I've used slick for over 5 years now

I've used slick for over 5 years now. It's so easy to use and the reporting system is a great tool for salon owners and staff to see accurate figures.
I love the online booking tool which I can control. The SMS reminders are one of the best functions, reducing no shows.The app is going to make a real difference to reception area when we have a few clients waiting to check out and book.

been with Slick from the very beginning

We have been with Slick from the very beginning transferring over from a previous system. Slick has been like a breath of fresh air. It approaches things in the way that hairdressers work with no compromise constantly striving to create a better system better features. The marketing and reports features give you such an insight into your company as well as promoting your business we would never change.

Slick booking software

We have been using Slick software for over four years now, and in our experience, they are one of the best systems available for the hair and beauty industry.
The platform feels truly tailored to our needs it’s incredibly versatile, easy to use, and cost-effective.
What really sets Slick apart is their support. The team are exceptional and always on hand via live chat to answer any questions quickly and efficiently. It gives real peace of mind knowing help is always there when you need it.
The all in one system, including the card reader, which works seamlessly and has made day to day running of the salon so much easier.
I genuinely wouldn’t look anywhere else highly recommend to anyone in the industry.

I love this system

I love this system, it has saved so much admin time, removes the awkwardness when asking for deposits/cancellation fee etc and makes it easy for clients to schedule all hours of the day! as a business owner it has helped me be in control of data & I use it for progress reviews to teach my team how to take control of their job!

I’ve been with slick for almost a year…

I’ve been with slick for almost a year now, it’s been AMAZING since day 1. They transferred ALL my data, services and prices for me for FREE. They are at the end of a WhatsApp message whenever you need them. I’ve NEVER had an issue and I highly recommend them. I went from fresha to slick and I HIGHLY recommend them

Initially I really loved slick…

Initially I really loved slick. I liked the platform but they advertise £20 plus vat as a cost but I was constantly charged over £30 a month.

I got charged twice in one month - once foe £31 and once for over £37 just a few days apart.
Their response was well you was partly refunded £11, but that still doesn’t explain why I was charged so much.

Complete joke - do not use.

Hi Lauren- i can see from your account the reason you were refunded £11 is you joined towards the end of the month so our billing system automatically pro-rated your subscription for the month. It wouldn't be fair to charge a full month hence why you were part charged. The reason you were charged £31 was you opted into the SMS Confrimations at £6 + VAT per month. £20 + 6 + VAT = £31. Apologies this was not clearer and we will look to see how this can be laid out better both in product and on your invoice.

Ive been using slick for a few months…

Ive been using slick for a few months now and have been loving it. Their onboarding process was very easy, and their training is great including ongoing business support (which I should take advantage of more).

What led me to leave this review months later is that I had to call support today to update some account details, and it was the smoothest, fastest, and easiest customer support call of my life.

Honest review

I really wanted to write a five star review. I genuinely did. Unfortunately Slick still has a lot of growing to do.

We moved from Ovatu. Ovatu is not perfect, but it is cheaper, faster and overall more complete than Slick right now. The main reason we switched was the split payment feature, which is genuinely good and useful for self employed stylists or chair renters. However, the are so many improvements that should be done at this price rate.

There is no app, only a browser version that is very slow and often freezes. We are heading into 2026 and the app is still “coming soon” with no timeline.
For a system built by hairdressers for hairdressers, they are missing very basic features for example chair renters cannot view their own client details without also accessing everyone else’s clients, which technically is a serious data protection.

There is no email option at all, only SMS. Messages can take minutes to appear, there are no clear notifications, and you pay credits for every single message at a premium rate. We never had issues with emails using Ovatu, which offered both email and SMS.

Receipts are another big issue. You cannot customise them in any way. No logo, no wording, not even a single sentence. With split payments, receipts should clearly show who did the service and VAT status, but this is not possible. After over a month of asking, the answer is always the same. It will come in the future. No dates, no updates.

The website booking integration doesn’t work despite several attempts with their technical team, meaning clients must use an external booking link from our website.

Promises also seem to change after signing. Migration was meant to be smooth, then suddenly we were told to do it ourselves. Eventually they moved the appointments after complaining but not holidays or days off which caused unnecessary stress and overbooking and again, after complaining this was eventually done.

Training with our “Slick salon manager” felt rushed, with two 1hour calls(1 with the salon owner and 1 with the staff). She kept remind us that we had to be quick as she had to be in other calls, leaving us with so many unanswered questions. In six years with Ovatu we contacted support maybe twice. With Slick, we have already contacted them around 20 times in one month.

There is no partial refund option without contacting support, no built in skin test forms unless you pay extra for external tools, and honestly many other basic features are missing. Everything gets pushed to the suggestions box with no real updates or timeline.

The most frustrating part is that we were were also considering Beu(thei split payments competitors) which already has many of these features. However, we got convinced to switch to Slick as they substantially reduced the fees.

I am leaving this honest review because Slick’s google reviews were a big factor in our decision and they seems to be really proud of them when you are looking to buy the software. At this price point, the software should be far more polished. The idea is good. The execution is not there yet.

We had in fact joined Slick some month…

We had in fact joined Slick some month ago. After they beaches the contract several times we desperately needed to get out. Unfortunately we had to pay 2000 pounds. This is a true fact and legit review so please trustpilot, please don't listen to slick lies and take this review off

Five star service

I’ve been using getslick for a few years now has made running my business so much easier the fact that you can book online makes life easier reduces having to leave customers to answer phone calls slick is good if you need help or assistance with anything you can online chat phone up highly recommended wouldn’t change to any other company
