Very quick service
Storm Arwen hit us hard and like much of NE Scotland we lost power on Friday (26/11/21) . I dug out my old generator and after a bit of working it was running fine, bit not producing power. Sunday was spent at the "youtube university" were I diagnosed a faulty capacitor/Avr. On Monday I order a new one from GeneratorGuru and added a note to say we were desperate. It arrived before 9am the next morning - which considering it had to go the entire length of the UK is amazing. Once fitted the generator worked fine and we had electricity again. Mains power was off for another three days!

Very helpful & responding in a timely fashion.
I generally do not write reviews but in this case I was so impress on the service and the response back from Zak. The rope on the MX4500 broke and I was told by others that I would need to purchase a new assembly. Zak from Generator Guru provided me with a video that showed me how to correct the problem, The correction was real simple and did not cost me.
Thank you again for solving the problem.

I bought my parts from them and I didn't have a parts manual or owners manual for my machine. typed in the model number and a photo gallery of parts popped up and I was able to purchase what I needed.
I then contacted about spec's and they were very quick to respond to my request. You can't go wrong with Generator Guru.

Having trouble with my generator
Having trouble with my generator. Found their website. Emailed my issue. Received an email next day, explaining what could be wrong, how to fix and what parts I needed. All this info and I did not have to by anything from them. Very helpful.

What a great experience

Finally A Company With Great Customer Service !
For over 6 months I have been trying to get an Idle Control Switch for my DuroMax XP10,000EH generator, first from DuroMax and then thru Northern Tool. Finally I tried Generator Guru at first they said they didn't have one but they went above and beyond by asking for pictures of the part and they would try to match it up with something they did have. Again no luck, but a few weeks later they actually called me and said they had located some and was I still interested. Finally a company with GREAT follow up!!

Excellent, dug my old sealey G2300 out of storage to find the fuel level guage was cracked and melted by what I assume are the effects 10 year old fuel in it. As if by magic generator guru not only listed the part it was in stock and I got it in 4 days - now I don't have petrol vapour coming out of it anymore. Thanks for the parts.

An absolute awesome experience
An absolute awesome experience. Received the wrong set of gaskets for a carburetor and notified service. They conducted research and found another order also received the wrong gaskets. They immediately sent the correct ones. They will definitely receive more of my business in the future!!

My first review was 1 star. Was not impressed by Customer Service at all. But, S. Beagley followed up and got back to me. I was impressed by his follow-up, and his recommendations, which resolved the issue.

Thank you for getting in touch (twice). Please respond to the Trustpilot emails about the duplicate review and information.
I have thoroughly investigated your claim and would like share my findings with you.
We sell batteries for Generators up to 40 years old. Many of the original batteries are no longer available due to such great advances in battery technology, especially over the last 5-10 years. I am sure you are aware of this too, as your cell phone battery can now hold a longer charge in a much smaller space.
This battery advancement, in combination with recent restrictions set by deliveries companies (due to damage they can cause if they leak) has resulted in many batteries being discontinued. In addition to this Battery manufacturers are decreasing the size of ALL batteries due to the high prices of metals, increased shipping and supply chain costs, and the ability to provide equal cranking power with the new technology.
We work closely with our main Battery supplier, and usually they are very good at letting us know when batteries have changed, been superseded or are not available from stock. We, in turn, try to let customers know in the battery listing description about these superseded batteries. In this case however, I have found they did not inform us that the original size battery was not available, and a superseded battery was being sent. I have spoken with them at length about the situation, and they have assured us that the battery you have received is the only superseded replacement that will fit within the battery tray and clear the engine.
They also assure us that it is powerful enough to easily crank over your engine.
I understand that you must be very confused, and I would like to apologise for this. We too have been surprised by the situation.
If you are able to find a supplier with old stock of the original battery, or you do not feel comfortable with the battery you received, as always, we are happy for you to return the battery we have sent for a full refund. If this is the case, please reply to the support ticket you refer to in one of the reviews you left, and we will be happy to provide you with the return address and instructions.

Take their advice. They know generators.
My old 6500w emergency generator had dropped in voltage. It was down to 100 volts (I am in Canada). Jane from Generator Guru helped me diagnose the issue and told me that I just needed a new capacitor. I ordered the part from them online and for less than $50 CDN (including shipping) I was back up and running at 120 volts. Thank You Generator Guru!
