Have to admit that, despite the amount of money I spent on my Megan Plus game table, I didn't expect it to be so fantastic. It looks beautiful and is so well made. Great customer service from Paul and crew delivering it yesterday showing care and consideration for my house and appreciation for me as a customer.

Table delivered within expected timeframe as expected. It looks incredible. Great delivery drivers who also assembled the table without leaving any mess. Minor issues on a couple of accessories but will be happily using them. Whole experience was fantastic.

We bought the Bristol board gaming table and leaf holder and have been extremely impressed with both the quality and design of the table and the service we received from everyone at GeeknSon. Selecting which options we wanted to include with our table was a straightforward process on the website and any questions we had were answered promptly. We were kept informed at every stage of the manufacture and sent an e-mail with the contact information of the person who was responsible for that particular stage of the process. Delivery was easy to arrange for a convenient time. We had a patch of slightly lightened stain on the leaf box when it was delivered and Filip dealt with this promptly and to our satisfaction with no problem whatsoever. There are so many options for matching furniture etc, this won't be our last purchase from GeeknSon, we would highly recommend them to anyone. Their tables make gaming convenient (ie you can put the tabletop leaves on over a game that is still in progress) and feel a little bit special when you have friends over to play.

I had backed the Kickstarter for the Gwen table. I must say this is one of the most beautiful pieces of furniture to have ever landed in my home.

The table took some time to get to me here in Canada, it was worth the wait! The table itself was very easy to assemble, the included instructions were clear.

I saw and looked at the Chairs from Geeknson at UKGames Expo. After some thought we contacted them about some of the materials for the Chairs which they sent samples to us of. Having picked the exact Chairs we what we many the order. They kept us up to date about the production of the Chairs and delivery. The delivery was great the guys made sure each Chair was in perfect and what we ordered. From beginning to end Geeknson gave us a personal touch which I have to say is why I highly recommend using them.

A beautiful, well-crafted table built to our specifications. We are very pleased with the result and the level of customisation available. The delivery and setup was also excellent.

UPDATED: MAY 2025

Unfortunately, after a few months with my table, I must revise my review down to 1 star. From day 1, there were small issues I was willing to overlook, but as time has gone on, they've compounded. For a premium product that cost thousands of dollars and a year+ delivery time, the drawbacks are too great.

Here are some things that turned me off:

-I pledged for the Gwen table. Before delivery was completed, Geeknson launched their Gwen 2.0 crowdfunding campaign. Imagine the gut punch of putting down thousands of dollars, waiting patiently for your table, and then finding out the product you don't even have yet is obsolete.

-To make matters worse, their staff admits to being slow to respond to support requests because they're too busy with their new campaign. After-sales service is nearly nonexistent, and for a niche product at a high price point, I'd expect them to take better care of their community.

-I've been unable to contact support representatives. It takes multiple follow ups over the course of months to get a brief, unhelpful reply. In one instance, I sent emails on:

Before finally receiving a reply on May 5. And I believe I only got an answer because I included their info@ and kickstarter@ email in that chain.

-The reason I had to contact support is because of failures in their product. A cupholder broke after a few months. The company has been transparent that replacement products will be much more difficult and more expensive to source after the campaign ends. But if pieces are already breaking after a few months AND it already takes months to get a response from support, how much more difficult can it get?

-The spill-proof system is inherently flawed and will only degrade further with time. Currently, the wooden leaves have rubber gaskets, that when placed into the table, create a seal. But due to natural warpage of the wood, the seal hasn't been intact from day 1 and the leaves shift within the table. I had to buy a handheld vacuum cleaner because every time I remove the leaves, I find pet hair, crumbs, dust, etc. has fallen through onto the gaming surface.

-Unfortunately, this means the table can't functionally work as a dining room table, so once I re-save, I'll be looking to jump up a price tier to Bandpass Design. At least the higher price will be offset by dual functionality

ORIGINAL REVIEW: OCT 2024

The table is beautiful, and if you're like me (being used to IKEA and Wayfair furniture) this will immediately stick out as a work of finely crafted furniture in your home.

PROS:
-Beautiful build quality. You can tell this is an artisan piece of furniture. I chose Geeknson because their designs were (in my opinion) aesthetically superior to the competition
-Luxurious gaming experience that takes your gaming to a new level
-Thin armrail makes you feel close to the games. Competitors like Wyrmwood have a thicker rail, causing you to have to bend over the table to get to the board
-They reopen their pledge manager after you received your table so you can get extra accessories you didn't even know you needed
-Wide breadth of accessories lets you customize the table to the games you like to play
-Delivery team is extremely helpful

CONS:
-It is pricey, especially since prices are in GBP
-It takes a year to get your table
-Support responses could be slow at times
-The spill-proof system isn't completely perfect, so spills can still get through the leaves. This might not make this the perfect option if you have messy kids (or at least, not a dining table option)
-Since this is made of real wood, it might require higher maintenance than owners are used to (for example: oiling the table and not leaving the leaves off for 24hrs+ in case of warpage)
-Some accessories aren't the best designed. The acrylic ones feel cheap and I found myself accidentally bumping into cupholders frequently
-The wireless charger didn't work for me, but that could be an isolated issue

UNKNOWNS:
-Since I haven't had my table long, it remains to be seen how it'll hold up to wear and tear
-I'm curious how servicing/replacements/repairs will be handled. Will I be able to get new accessories in a year? I better make sure I get all the cupholders I want now!

Despite the cons list seeming long, I'm ecstatic with my purchase and do not regret it one bit. If you're a serious gamer, this is a piece of lifelong furniture to indulge in your favorite hobby.

Great Table
Delivery went perfectly and the table is everything i expected

I have had an absolute blast with my table, have been using since April 24. Service, support and build quality is all excellent. You cannot buy better if you want a great gaming table with the flexibility of the accessories to suit your needs.
Well worth the investment!

I received my table earlier this year. Everything seemed to fine at that time. During the summer I noticed that the boards were getting a bit too tight to put back in. It reached a point, where I was no longer able to push the last board back in, since the wood expanded too much. So I contacted the support for help on this matter. After a few weeks I got the information, that the replacement board, which was part of the delivery, was for this case. It is a bit more narrow, so it should fit. I tried it, and yes, it was way more narrow and fit. But the problem was, it was too narrow, so I now have a huge gap between the boards. I contacted the support again, trying to get a fitting replacement board, but all my mails are getting ignored. I read another review here, which stated that if you get a table and have no issues, you will be happy with your table. But if you encounter a problem and need to get help or a replacement item, you are in support hell. I can confirm that statement 100%.

If they are at Essen Spiel this year, I will talk to them in person. Maybe they will be more responsive and reasonable in person. For such an expensive item, you'd expect way better support.

Really impressed with both the table and service having been an early backer of the gwen table on kickstarter. Was a minor issue in assembly and they returned within 2 weeks to sort it. Excellent communication throughout and everything as expected. We'll definitely use them again in future.

Got my Gwen gaming table delivered and assembled today, and I couldn't be happier. The assembly process was a breeze thanks to the fantastic team – everything is nice and sturdy. Now I can't wait to break it in with a good game night!

I have just had my table delivered and the entire experience was incredible. The care for the customer was perfect. All features explained and demonstrated, all paperwork explained and the guys from Geeknson were professional and perfect.

I bought a Denis table from Geeknson in 2016.
I had always wanted a table from companies like Geek Chic, so when they closed down, I decided I had to take the plunge before all choices disappeared.

I chose the Denis because I had only a small flat and being able to transform it to a dining table and then get back to a pre-setup board game was exceptional. The baize layer in the vault along with the ability to secure game maps under a clear layer has proven invaluable for the games I played.

I moved when I became disabled back to my family home, and my growing collection of board games has been a welcome companion since; the table came apart easily and reassembled securely once we got there.

It looks as good now as it did the day I bought it, and my children regularly fight over who will inherit it!

The people at Geeknson are amazing, to boot.

You won’t ever regret owning one of these tables.
If you’re on the fence all I can say is they are totally worth it.
