Not worth the effort
After activating it, it worked once tried to use it several times and has declined ever since saying I haven't activated it.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My account was set up with an email I no longer have access to, so I simply wanted to change the email address. Since I cant access my old email, it is impossible to change it. Tried contacting GasBuddy multiple times via email per their instructions, finally got a response that my email was outside normal working hours. I sent my email at 10:49 am EST on a Friday. I then sent another email on a Monday at 11 am and again was told its outside their business hours, which are Mon - Fri 9 am - 5 pm EST...Worst service ever!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been a customer for more than 7 years and only recently (seems like when they switched to GasBuddy+) I've had nothing but issues and problems with their app and website. Their customer service (Brandi) is beyond horrible. She has zero understanding of how to help resolve the issue. She's asked the same question FIVE times and every time, I have given her the information she requested. The sad part is? She wanted to verify my email. Screenshots and five confirmations later, she is still unable to ask the next question. The app...horrible. The website...horrible. The customer service? A JOKE.
Speedway deceiving people on Gas Buddy
I have tried numerous times to go to a Speedway gas station near me at I-40 Exit 412 on Deep Springs Rd in TN that advertises good discounted gas prices and every time I go there the gas pump tells me to see the attendant which frustrates me and I end up using my debit card.
I contacted the Speedway Corporate office to find out what is going on at the person that replied to me told me that Speedway does not participate in the Gas Buddy program so my question is why does Gas Buddy allow Speedway to even show up on the app?
To me that is very dishonest deceiving people with fraudulent gas prices. Gas Buddy needs to remove Speedway from the Gas Buddy app.

This started when G Buddy stent the new cards out gas buddy+ cards I used my discover debit on the old card so when the new card came I did what I thought was linking my discover to my new g b card I tryed to use the first time an it was declined so I weighted a fue days and tryed a gain an it worked so I assume it was ready to go I used a fue more times and checked my discover account an did not see it on there so I logged on to gas buddy to what was going on an found the gas buddy card had charged it to a card that was not mine and there was a late fee of 30 dollers so I began trying to get hold of gas buddy to fix it and after meny try could not get it fixed now they say I owe 159 dollers 40 or 59 of that was late fee I then added my master card on the G B card and still could pay it. So all of that said DONT USE GAS BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!
The customer service experience is beyond awful
The customer service experience is outrageously bad. Good luck connections with a human. I had my gas buddy card declined owing entirely to issues on their side of the transaction. After being forced to make a written customer service request because nobody answers the phone, I was told to expect a response in FIVE BUSINESS DAYS. Imagine traveling cross country and your gas card provider thinks 5 days is an appropriate response time when you’re have a problem buying gas!!!

I received a credit card from the company. I recently changed our bank account, and I linked the new one. Ever since we did that none of our credit card(s) work. Everything is setup, the company keeps charging a monthly fee, but the card(s) do not work! It is almost impossible to get a live person to help you! If they do not fix this in 48hrs I am going to close my account.

Wish I could give zero stars for their new Rewards program. After putting in the time and effort to earn points for redemption, I've been waiting for two weeks and still cannot reach a human. Deleting the app and giving up!

GasBuddy: where you report the prices for free, and stations pay extra to hide what people actually think of them. Transparency
Support is non-existant
If you need support to continue using the card, forget it. AI only, even when asking for a real person. If a real person did respond, they used canned responses and didn't listen to the issue. It was a vicious circle that never ended. This has gone on for 2 weeks with no real response.
Shady company
Shady company. I had the gas buddy card for years and then the ended the free membership. Was looking on the site to get a new card when I found that out and it was advertising the pay with GasBuddy+. So I clicked on it to get more information and sign up. After doing so found out that it cost money, but no where before signing up for the card it states this. That’s bs

Would give 1/2 star if possible. Prices always incorrect. I submit correct price, they never update. Off as much as .30¢ gal
Do not pay for their premium account
I have a premium account and support is useless, first they encourage you to link other station rewards programs to theirs and they will use those other rewards against you, when I have 23 cents off per gallon at shell and I use it and only pump 10 gallons and gas buddy takes that 23 cents multiply it by 10 gallons and considers it a 1 gallon purchase at $2.30 then they take the original pump price multiply by 10 gallons and they claim you purchased 11 gallons then deduct 11 gallons from your premium allowance of 50 gallons is a scam and support of course isn't believing you
And then deal alerts that we pay to have ,, and the extra rewards we earn that come with out premium, when we see a deal for 32 cents off per gallon and then redeem points for an extra 10 cents off , that deal should go up to 42 cents off per gallon not 39 cents off per gallon, but again it's not as we see it according to support and with a video screen recording showing it happens is not acceptable, they won't even view it
So don't pay for their premium, it may not be a scam but they don't care about any issues you bring to their attention but in my eyes it's scanning me out of what I pay for
Worked great until I needed customer service!
Used for 2 years. Worked great (except the spending limit when gas prices soared, & I couldn’t fill up a tank without exceeding that limit). Then, they supposedly sent a new card. My old one deactivated, but never received the new card! Customer service is literally non-existent! Sent an email complaint, & got a reply asking for old card number. Gave it, & had no reply. I have tried 6 different times to get a new card, & each is a dead end. Ugh! I give up!
