Was 5* in the old days, Sue, Zena, Audrey, Kerry and the rest of the team all knew their stuff but since was bought out and moved to Wolverhampton it's just got worse and worse. Stopped using them now altogether.

ordered thermostat from they website which was in stock, paid. day later they cancel my order, that thermostat is to old. i don't care, i ordered a I want it. not happy

Ordered a thermocouple for my gas fire. Paid for next day delivery however did not receive order confirmation and the item did not arrive next day. So 1 week later i reordered the thermocouple (despite the price having increased). I was then billed for both items and both arrived on the same day. I contacted Gas-Spares to explain and was told i would need to pay for a courier to return one of the items which i reluctantly did. The courier attempted delivery 4 TIMES!! before the item being returnedto myself.

I complained to Gas-Spares and they instructed me to return AGAIN at my own expense which i did. The item has now also been returned to me several weeks later after further attempts to deliver unsuccesfully.

This is absolute atrocious customer service and considering i was given a wrong phone number to contact them at one point, im now at the stage where im questioning whether this establishment actually exists at all. A £50 thermocouple has now cost over £110. AVOID AT ALL COSTS FOR THE GOOD OF YOUR OWN SANITY AT THE VERY LEAST.

Just phoned this company to ask about the cost of a replacement matrix for my 4 year old Nu-flame Energis hotbox. I was told they don't have one probably because it's now obsolete. Just phoned Nu-flame direct to be told it's not obsolete and "they [Gas-Spares] don't know what they're talking about".
I phoned Gas-Spares to let them know their error, but because I didn't get the name of their first contact they said they would "sweep this under the carpet".

Ordered replacement thermocouple/Oxy Pilot for Gas Fire, using the recommended part number as advised by manufacturer item arrived promptly but the holes for fixing the part to the fire are completely different, Contacted the company via email to ask for help, 3 days have past now and no reply, Very poor customer service, Would not recommend.

really fast service ordered Friday via royal mail 2nd class, delivered Monday. Item well packaged, very pleased.

I've used Gas Spares twice now and they have come up trumps each time with respect to information to ensure correct parts identified. Well packaged (maybe a bit over the top for recent small item order). Delivery price seemed steep at first, but item was fragile so courier rather than normal post was appropriate. Delivery was very prompt.

British Gas Engineer told us the part was unavailable so they could not repair my fire as per my service agreement. I found the correct part (coal base middle support) online at Gas-Spares.co.uk within a couple of minutes looking, and got it delivered by Gas-Spares the next day.

Easy to order on line, very efficient turnaround and delivery. Main problem was I thought item was dear for what is was, replacement coals for gas fire but seem okay. Need to wait till winter to check if okay.

I recently had a British Gas service on my Wickes Gas fire. Despite passing all their safety checks the fire was deemed "dangerous" because I did not have a copy of the user manual (fire was in situ when the house was purchased) and the engineer couldn't be sure he had put the pebbles back correctly. Wickes were unable to help source a manual as they no longer sell the fire.

In desperation I called Gas Appliance Spares (who do still sell the parts for this fire)and spoke to a lovely lady named Sue who was wonderful. She managed to contact the manufacturer and source an electronic copy of the original manual within 30 minutes and at no charge.

An outstanding level of customer service from Sue and if I ever need to source parts this is where I will be going.

Ordered part online and it was delivered by courier the next day. The part was fragile and it came expertly packed to prevent damage in transit.
