Very disappointed
Very disappointed with the quality of two items I received from this company. After researching to find what sounded like a reputable quality manufacturer, I chose the Garden Trellis Company and ordered two trellis panels, two posts and two post toppers.
When they arrived, one panel and one post were substandard. Large unsightly knots likely to affect the durability of the product, splits in the wood, gapping in the joinery, rough unfinished surfaces - very poor.
When I emailed the company to let them know, the response was that they felt this was acceptable as part of their standard range rather than the “premium” RHS range. Given that the panel and post cost just shy of £250 plus the delivery cost, I disagree I’m afraid, and frankly I may as well have bought from one of the large DIY chain stores.

Timber is a natural product, so features such as knots and slight movement in the wood are naturally occurring and not considered faults. If a knot had been loose or fallen out, we would of course have replaced the panel, but the image you shared showed it was intact and would not affect the strength or integrity of the product.
The panels you ordered are from our standard range, which differs from our RHS Prestige range. The Prestige panels are handmade by our team of joiners here in Essex, using low-knot, smooth-sanded timber with mitred corners and screwed joints for added durability. By comparison, our standard bought-in panels use nest and pin corners (not screwed) and are more economical, which is reflected both in their finish and price. For example, the comparable RHS Prestige panel is £433, whereas the standard panel is £222. The images and descriptions on our website are accurate representations of each range, and the products supplied to you matched these.
We do understand that some customers expect the premium specifications of our Prestige range when ordering our standard panels, and we try to make the differences as clear as possible. We also offered you the option to return your order for a refund when it wasn’t what you expected, but understand you chose not to take this up.
We value your feedback and will continue to improve how we communicate the differences between our ranges so customers can choose the option that best suits their needs.

Great trellis, well made but...
Great trellis, well made and I would recommend this to anyone. However, the initial 2 week approximate wait that I was led to believe by initial order (19.06.25) went on much longer, so I telephoned to enquire. Suffice to say everything eventually arrived, but it would have been helpful to have had a quick email informing me of a longer wait due to high sales.

However, if you ordered one of our Prestige range or a painted finish, please note that the lead time is considerably longer than our standard trellis. A real quality product
A real quality product, & very convenient delivery. Only wish I’d gone for the cutting service for one panel as I had assumed the frame was just overlapping timber lats so easy for a DIY resize, but the frame is mortice & tenon jointed which makes for a high quality sturdy frame, but makes home resizing a slightly more complicated but doable task. Very pleased, highly recommended.

A great little find!
Really over the moon with x8 trellis panels I purchased from The Garden Trellis Company. I spent far too long trying to shop around to get the right balance between price and quality - this company ended up with the best price, free delivery to my address to boot and when the trellis arrived today, I was beaming ear to ear over its immediate quality - couldn't have imagined it would be so nicely made at such a low price. An outstanding company that I shall absolutely be using again when required.

Well made and good looking panels. Did treat them with clear wood preservative when delivered although they are already treated but added a bit extra protection for good luck.

Easy to find and order what i was…
Easy to find and order what i was looking for. Price was very reasonable and delivery was fairly quick. The only slight grumble was that one side of the trellis was not very secure and the side panel had come away from the trellis weave. Also there was a slight split in one side.
