I wanted a plant based protein without paragraphs of ingredients. This one has recognizable ingredients. Very mild vanilla flavour but works well in smoothies.
Texture is slightly gritty if you just shake it but it’s good blended.
Digestion is better for me than other vegan brands. Organic certification is also a nice touch.
Shipping was quick. Fair price for the quality. Straightforward buying experience.

I should have looked at the reviews before ordering from Garden of Life (1.5/5). I ordered a meal replacement, and they sent a confirmation email stating that it was for raw protein powder. I contacted them right away to prevent shipping, but they informed me that it had already been processed. A day later, I received a notification that my order had shipped. They had enough time to stop the shipment, but it seems they prioritize making money and make it difficult for customers to cancel.
Now, I have received the package, which I haven't opened yet, but it is so light that it doesn't seem like there are three protein powder containers inside. I called customer service, and they said they would look into it and send me an email with instructions on how to return it.
This company feels like a scam. I used to buy their products from other retailers, but now I am doubtful that their products are what they claim to be. I need to look for other legitimate meal replacement powder companies.

I was enrolled in a subscribe and save program. Per their own terms, they allegedly email you three days prior to processing your order so that you have time to cancel it. I did not receive this email but did receive an email stating my order was processed. Customer service told me (a day later) that they couldn't cancel my order because it was being prepared to ship. They violated their own policy but refused to correct it. I will not purchase their products from them again.
DO NOT BUY
Purchased 2 containers of the vanilla protein powder. This product tasted awful, smelled rancid and made me physically ill. The customer service is even worse than the products. They claimed to reply quickly, that was more than a week ago. I will never buy any of their products in the future.

I can only comment on the 1 Star reviews. They are very revealing and prevented me from using this company that can't seem to correct the poor support, quality issues, etc. How to ruin a business 101.
Bad Batch? - Got Sick

Customer Service keeps telling me that someone is going to call me from Consumer Affairs, but no one has and this has been ongoing for a month.

Absolutely Shameful and Borderline Scam Behavior
I rarely leave reviews, but I am so outraged by this experience that I feel it is my responsibility to warn others before they get ripped off by this unscrupulous, greedy company.
I ordered a 12 month supply as a thoughtful and carefully planned purchase for my parents abroad. They live in another country where this exact product is hard to find, and I wanted to make sure they would be stocked for the entire year without having to worry about supply issues.
I expected to receive fresh bottles with long expiration dates appropriate for a year‑long supply. What arrived at my doorstep was nothing short of outrageous. Instead of fresh stock, the company sent me multiple bottles all expiring in just three months.
I immediately contacted the supplier, thinking this had to be some sort of innocent mistake. Surely, a reputable business would understand that sending out nearly expired products in bulk is unacceptable. I expected an apology, an offer to exchange for properly dated stock, or at the very least some kind of resolution.
Instead, I was met with cold indifference and an outright refusal to do anything. Their customer service brushed me off with generic, robotic responses, basically telling me that the expiration dates are “within acceptable limits” and that there would be no exchange, no refund, no credit, nothing. They did not care that I had bought these supplements in good faith, for my parents overseas, who would not even be able to consume them all before they expired.
The level of greed and disregard for customers here is astounding. They are happy to take your money, ship you near‑expired goods, and then hide behind a wall of fine print and canned responses. A company that truly values its customers would never treat people like this—especially when the purchase was intended for loved ones depending on quality and reliability.
They clearly prioritize dumping old stock over delivering genuine value. They clearly do not care about the customer experience, nor do they care about the health and well‑being of the people consuming their products.
A company that operates like this deserves to be called out loudly and repeatedly. I will never order from them again, and I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere—somewhere that respects its customers enough to provide fresh products, honest service, and at the very least a shred of integrity.
Horrendous customer service and…
Horrendous customer service and seemingly dodgy offers. Always sending me discount codes that never work, get rejected or expired before the offer was even sent. Customer service pretend to be interested, ask for a lot of useless information and information they could should already have and then stop responding.
It’s a real shame as their products are high quality but I just can’t waste my time and energy dealing with them, their bad service and unscrupulous discount codes!

We zijn al jaren vaste klant en plaatsen regelmatig bestellingen. Nu kreeg je bij een bepaald bedrag een kado van 13,99 vitamine B12. Dat kado kon niet geleverd worden was niet beschikbaar. Een paar weken gewacht en toen kregen we de melding dat het ook niet meer geleverd zou worden. Dat kan gebeuren natuurlijk.
Nu vraag ik voor dat bedrag een voucher maar krijg als antwoordt dat ik tevreden moet zijn met een voucher van vijf euro. Dat was niet de waarde van het kado. En aangezien het bij ons echt alleen om een principe kwestie gaat zijn wij het daar niet mee eens. Maar wat doet garden of life om de klant tegemoet te komen NIETS helemaal niets. Dus heb ik gezegd dat ze dan maar ons account moeten verwijderen. Het is heel vreemd dat Gardenof life een klant laat vallen voor nog geen 9 euro iets klopt daar niet. Er kunnen twee dingen spelen of ze zitten aan lager wal of ze zijn zo arrogant !
En ook in het verleden klopte de berekening vaak niet als er aan aanbiedingen waren zoals 30 procent korting.
En als je daar dan een opmerking over maakte kreeg je een of ander smoes te horen.En een persoonlijke benadering bij een probleem krijg je ook niet bij want je krijgt steeds antwoordt van verschillende mensen op een vraag / mail heb ik al vier verschillende mensen zien antwoorden.is gewoon een callcenter.ze doen absoluut niet aan klantenbinding ze laten je vallen als een baksteen voor een zielige 8 /9 euro.

I have used Garden of life for years and I never had an issue until recently.
I have ordered zinc on their website on December 1, 2024, and today is January 10, 2025 and I still have not received my order. Their customer service is terrible. I wrote to them on numerous occasions regarding my order. They have advised me that the product is out of stock and they don't know when it will be back and can't give a date. They refused to acknowledge the issue. This truly angers me.
Order not received and no reimburse
I’ve been a loyal customer of their products for years, but lately their service has deteriorated. I placed an order on December 3rd, and to this day, I haven’t received the products.
Customer service has been unhelpful and unresponsive. Don’t waste your money—this is no longer a reliable service.
Warning: Terrible service!
Loyal EU customer here. A few months ago they changed the formula of a product without(!) changing their product page. Even currently the text & pictures still show the old product.. Yet, they ship a majorly changed product (completely altered taste, far less vitamins/minerals, different amino values,...).
You simply get a product which you did not order.
So, you'd expect the responsible thing, which is them offering a hassle-free return because they are shipping products which do NOT match what you ordered (anymore). But no, not even that...
The helpdesk spins around the issue by promising quality controls for the taste. No help there.
Disputing it on Paypal I obviously win the claim. But Garden Of Life provides an incomplete return address, needing another PayPal intervention.
This ongoing experience has been insanely awful. It reveals their terrible and inexcusable lack of minimum service.
They leave you with a product you did not order, make a hassle out of a return, and even have the audacity to demand you to pay the shipping costs for returning their fault!
Beyond disappointing & inexcusable.

I product is good but. But there customer service is terrible. I have been buying there organic protein shack about 2 years. The containers are tall but never full usually half ful. But this time a third full. Called tho complain, they said sorry just take it back to the store if your not happy. Service in America has gotten terrible. I have bought my last container.

I was reading the section on the bottom were it says other ingredients...and so many unnecessary fillers and toxic additives. Why would they need to put Palm Oil??! Which is known to cause inflammation and disease not to mention it's negative effects on the environment.
