I am writing this as someone who almost participated in this YouTuber’s copy trading program.
At first, he repeatedly showcased challenges such as turning 1K into 5K, and later 5K into 50K, emphasizing consistent high returns. Based on these results, he recruited participants for a copy trading program. I understand that more than 30 people joined, each paying around $300.
However, within approximately 10 days, the account reportedly ended in a margin call. After the loss, there was no detailed explanation of the risk management strategy or a clear official statement addressing what happened.
Another concerning point was related to the broker account. At the time, opening an account from Korea was reportedly not possible, and participants were allegedly told they could deposit funds into one of his “available” accounts instead. If funds are being deposited into an account not directly under the investor’s own name, that raises serious concerns about fund security and transparency.
Copy trading itself carries structural risks, including:
– Liquidity issues when many people enter the same position
– High leverage leading to rapid liquidations
– Slippage due to execution delays between leader and followers
Anyone considering participation should carefully evaluate not only the advertised returns, but also risk management practices and fund safety.
