My daughter recently had an ADHD assessment with Freya and her team and I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Freya was lovely from the very beginning. She has such a gentle, kind disposition and made the whole process feel comfortable and reassuring from the outset.

We also had a Teams meeting with Paula Walker, who was wonderful and immediately put us at ease. She was extremely knowledgeable and, having firsthand experience with children with ADHD, was able to share her knowledge with warmth and humour.

Amy Harper came to our home to carry out my daughter’s assessment and was equally lovely. She put her at ease straight away, and much of the assessment was done through play in her own playroom. I could hear her laughing and enjoying herself, which was lovely.

I needed the final report within a very short timeframe, and the team went above and beyond to make this possible. My family and I are incredibly grateful for this and genuinely feel they could not have done any more for us.

From start to finish, everyone was professional but also very approachable. I genuinely feel that I could pick up the phone at any point in the future if I had a question or needed their advice.

I really couldn’t have asked for more from them and would absolutely recommend them to any family going through the same process.

The clinic has been absolutely wonderful extremely supportive and flexible. They were very cooperative with payment installments and even made thoughtful adjustments to the report when needed.

Dr. Freya, who assessed my daughter, was exceptionally kind and engaging. My daughter genuinely enjoyed every moment of the evaluation, and she liked Dr. Freya so much that she now follows every piece of advice mentioned in the report!

Highly recommend FSW Psychology. From the first phone call to my assessment I was listened to, validated and understood. FSW went above and beyond to accommodate me having an assessment for ADHD after being failed by the NHS for so many years. The team are experts and very approachable and understanding when it comes to the assessments. All assessments are completed to NHS standards also!

Cannot recommend the team at FSW Pyschology enough! I was apprehensive about going private for diagnosis but I’m so glad I reached out to this company. Nothing has ever been too much from asking questions to Freya at any given point she’s on the other end of the phone. Nicola and Michaela who assessed my son were fantastic, they made us feel so at ease throughout the whole process. Amazing experience from start to finish. Freya and her team put us all at ease straight away, they explained exactly what was going to happen and when. All the staff were very pleasant and made my son feel respected and valued when they attended to do his observations. Myself & my sons school were blown away by the detail in the report & this has helped school have a better understanding of the support he needs. I am extremely appreciative of all the work FSW have done for my family and highly recommend them.

We recently used FSW for a full neurodiversity assessment for our 11 year old son. The process was reassuring, comprehensive and efficient throughout. My son felt totally at ease and able to be himself. The end result means we can use the diagnostic report to access some additional support and understanding as he enters secondary school. Such a relief, wish we had found Freya, Erin and Michaela years ago.

I was recommended FSW for a private autism assessment and am so pleased that I went with them. The process was clear and thorough. Responses to emails was prompt and thoughtful. The two psychologists I spoke to as part of the assessment were kind, professional, and very responsive to me. Going through and getting a diagnosis was a tough personally, but the team at FSW made it as easy and gentle as possible. And as it’s not a single assessment they picked up on my ADHD, which I hadn’t gone to them for!

This was the best decision we made. After many years of being told by our daughters previous school that they did not see any neurodiversity, when we finally got the stage where she could be referred to the NHS waiting list we felt hopeless at the thought of having to wait 2-3 years more.

We were recommended by a friend to approach FSW. From the beginning to the end, the process was easy, stress free and completely clear to us.

Everyone who works at FSW were kind and professional and LISTENED to us. It’s the first time we felt listened to and believed. The best benefit was that our daughter’s assessment could take place at home where she feels most comfortable.

We had been waiting 2 years on the NHS waiting list, and were told it could be another year, so we decided to contact fsw psychology. The first time I spoke with Freya via email, she was so helpful, giving me all the information I needed and more, and she was very quick with her replies. The two ladies that did the assessments with myself and my son were absolutely amazing, so calm, patient, understanding and made sure my son felt as comfortable as he could if that situation. From start to finish the whole process was roughly 2 months, which I was so impressed with. I wish I did this a lot sooner; rather than waiting years on the nhs list. Also the final report was incredible, very detailed and more than I ever expected . I would 100% recommend fsw psychology to anybody looking for a neurodiversity assessment. I found this company online that was local to me. From reaching out in August until receiving a diagnosis, Dr Freya and the team have been ever so supportive and accomodating. After years of being told by numerous mental health professionals that it was 'grief' of losing my parents that were to explain the way i was, it was validating to finally receive the correct diagnosis from the FSW team. This has completely changed my life for the good. I had suspected for years that i might be neurodivergent, however health board services have always thrown water on this idea. The service has been so amazing, i have referred a number of people to FSW, who have had their own personal validating experience. I cannot recommend this company enough. Thank you once again.

I did a lot of research into having a full Neurodevelopmental assessment for my 10 year old and found FSWPsychology to be the best out of all the other firms working in my area (some of whom are contracted by the NHS). FSW came recommended to me by a friend who has used them and I've since recommended them to many others because our experience was so good.
Freya explained everything very clearly and answered my many questions throughout the process very thoroughly, which was much better than the communication from other firms, which tended to be brief, vague and left me with questions.
I liked that FSW would provide a full report whether the assessment resulted in a diagnosis or not. I also liked that they could conduct the assessment with my child in person in our own home which none of the other firms offered and some don't even offer an in person session at all and only assess through an online meeting plus the standard questionnaires. Because it was in our own home my child was comfortable to be herself and she liked being in familiar surroundings so she could sit comfortably, get a snack when she needed one and have her toys and fidgets around her and available. Because the assessment was face to face the assessor also picked up on a physical issue with my daughter we weren't aware of that wouldn't have been picked up on if she had met the assessor through a screen.
The assessment followed NICE guidelines and used DSM5 criteria and the conclusion was made by a multidisciplinary team so the assessment and subsequent report and recommendations has been accepted by my child's school and will form the basis of her IDP to ensure she gets the right support at school.
The process was thorough but waiting times between stages of the process were reasonable and much faster than other firms we spoke to, one of which had a 6 month waiting list just to start the process (not to mention the 5-8 year NHS waiting list!)
Another thoughtful thing from FSW was that we were provided with a very child-friendly one-page profile of the assessor before their visit so my daughter and I could talk about the visit and she felt comfortable and excited to meet the assessor rather than feeling that a stranger was coming to visit.
I really couldn't praise the team highly enough and my daughter is already feeling the benefits of some of the recommendations from the report that we have put in place.

I cannot praise Freya and the team highly enough. A professional, friendly and kind service from my first exploratory phone call where I was falling apart a little, right up to our final report. The neurodiversity assessment was thorough, the team could not have been more accommodating for our needs and my emails and queries have been answered swiftly and with warmth.

There is light and understanding now at the end of the our tunnel and things make sense. A big thank you to all the team.
