This company is a scam. Do not purchase anything from them. Their pictures look good but in reality they are a scam. I unfortunately did not read the reviews prior to ordering.

You are pathetic and absolutely in favour of yourselves and not the customer. Maybe you should splash all over your website that you charge 3.4 % immediately after purchase if you decide to cancel. 2 days after finding out I had to arrange my own transport and it wasn't going to be free like advertised, also lead time is another mystery until you finally get an email back because there is no phone number to use to get in touch with anyone and they tell ya 10 WEEKS, well guess what, of course I want to cancel the order. Just be aware these place is a scam for lack of a better description, disgusting and pathetic. I would highly recommend going elsewhere like Fourhands for example, amazing customer service and quality quality products, no surprises like this outfit who pulled out their true colours with in 2 days of ordering on line and me trying to cancel. I am a custom homebuilder and have dealt with furniture companies for years but I have never experienced this sneaky, rude, self- intitled "screw you" type of service. Trust me, shop somewhere else. I know someone else who had ordered from this France and Sons and then cancelled and it took months to get their money back.

Canceled my order within 24 hours on Nov 25th. Company has refused to issue a refund and it’s Dec 14th. Order was not processed or shipped. They are withholding $4301. My bank is now involved. BEWARE this company is an online SCAM! It is pretending to be the danish mid-century designer ( France & Søn—and its predecessor, France & Daverkosen) The real store is closed. The phone numbers are fake.

One of the shadiest online furniture retailers we've ever bought from. Dishonest and extremely slow to ship the order.

I purchased a set of office furniture for France & Son for $4100. On the positive side, the furniture was priced below all other dealers of this premium brand of furniture and the sale process was smooth and efficient. From there everything went downhill.
The reviews were mixed so I knew I was taking a gamble buying from them. The shipping company called Quantum was very bad. They were late for the initial estimated delivery date. Once scheduled they cancelled the day before delivery and rescheduled 2 weeks later. The day before the 2nd scheduled delivery they called and said they would be at my house in 40 mins. Fortunately, I was home and not inconvenienced by this earlier than planned delivery. In the back of the truck, I saw tipped over boxes but didn’t see any damage to my furniture until after they left. 2 of the 4 pieces (a desk and a file cabinet) were damaged. After many calls, France & Son agreed I could return the 2 damaged pieces for refund, but replacement pieces would cost a lot more because the sale price I purchase at was no longer offered. Normally I would expect original purchase price to be honored for replacement of damaged goods. Rather than pay the higher price I negotiated a partial refund for me to accept the damaged goods. After that it took another 3 ½ weeks to receive the refund.
Everything moved in slow motion. It took more than 12 weeks from order to partial refund for this in-stock furniture. It took 18 phone calls, many of them involving long waits and a few involving promised return calls that did not happen. There were just as many emails too.
I DO NOT recommend taking the high risk of purchasing from France & Son even though their pricing is good.

I ordered and paid for a set of chairs over three weeks ago. I've called, chatted, and emailed. Just today, I finally got someone on the phone to tell me they were still processing my order! We ordered these because they were in stock and hoped to get them in time for Thanksgiving. Customer service says it takes 2-3 weeks to process an order! How the hell does that work in this day and age? Nowhere on their website does it state that it takes 2-3 weeks for processing. They also said they needed to ship them to NY from their North Carolina distribution center. When I asked why they wouldn't ship them straight to me from North Carolina ( I'm in California), they just said that was their process. Thier shipping manager needs to be fired. I WILL NEVER, EVER buy from them again.

Did not notify item not in stock, $1200 chair still waiting 3 months later. Several misstatements and evasive statements on when we might receive it, who knows if and when we will. Clearly have no control over production. Initially blamed us for not knowing it might take months or more to receive.

I ordered a sculpture that took months to arrive. Upon arrival it was different than the image on their site. They refused to stand by this issue. Over time the sculpture has cracked and split in multiple spots. They still will not stand by their product. Stay clear of this company if you want decent customer service and decent quality products. Frightening, really.

If you must order from them, I'd create a burner just for your order, and then delete the email account once your order has been fulfilled.

“Extremely disappointed with my experience. I ordered a full bedroom set and only received one nightstand and the bed. After contacting customer service, I was told the second nightstand was out of stock. I requested a full refund due to their inventory issue, but they refused and claimed they found another nightstand. When it finally arrived, it was damaged—scratched, dented, poorly painted, and the wrong color. Customer service has been dismissive, unprofessional, and resistant to issuing a refund. They even offered the damaged nightstand for free, which I do not want. This company has serious quality control and customer service issues. Avoid them at all costs!” If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Ordered two pieces, a lounge chair, and an ottoman. They were made by Four Hands but despite being the same color (ordered) they do not match. I removed the furniture from the dirty boxes to avoid soiling my carpet and after I put the two pieces together it became apparent they did not match in color and texture. I immediately sent an email but it took a few days for then to respond. They did not tell me to save the box until right after the recyclers came to pick it up. Now they are saying if I don't have the shipping box they won’t return or exchange the ottoman. Very expensive mistake to order from this company and would not recommend purchasing furniture by Four Hands, either. It may not match and is not well-built furniture.

My new sofa is perfect for my living room. It comfortable, stylish, and the quality is excellent. The staff was very helpful, and the delivery was on time. Couldn be happier!
