Bought an old second hand Forrest Master log splitter, which soon developed a fault. Spoke to the technical department who were very helpful. Even though the log splitter had been discontinued they diagnosed the fault, managed to find the defective parts in their workshop and sent them out the next day. Can't fault their service.

If you've got straight branches with no leaves, then it's fantastic.
But 90% of the time when you have branches which are not straight, with leaves or side branches, then you'd be quicker using your teeth. You will spend more time unblocking it than using it. Make sure that you take a 10mm spanner with you whenever you use it!
I bought it based on the photographs which show a hopper about 150mm square, but not shown is a restricted aperture of about 50mm, with a rubber finger-guard which means that bent branches won't go in and ensures that any piece of wood that goes in can't be removed without dismantling.

The fm6dd-mul is a surprisingly capable machine; something I didn't expect given its small size. Portable and easy to use, my only issue is that the machine could do with a handle to assist with moving it.

The measure of how good a company is isn't how they perform, but how they perform when there's a problem. Forestmaster sorted out my problem, swiftly and efficiently. Good old fashioned, people centred customer service.

Ordering process was easy and straightforward. I ordered a wood chipper and mulcher which was speedily dispatched and delivered.
Self assembly was quite simple too.

It was either these Log Jaws to fit my Wolf Workbench or a similary priced log Sawhorse. I definately made the right choice ! The Log Jaws fit my workbench perfectly and are extremely stable and strong, allowing the log to be held tight whilst being sawn. First class product. JP.

I was having difficulty in finding a dog crate to fit my new car (the old crate wouldn't fit). Joseph Jordan went out of his way to help me find a crate with suitable dimensions, for example with emails at weekend and measuring a particular crate whose quoted dimensions were going to be very tight. He couldn't have done more to help. Highly recommended.

Bought the FM5 log splitter and it is a great piece of kit.
Unfortunately I managed to bend the carriage arms trying to split a log which was outwith the splitter’s capacity.
Forrest master’s technical support team particularly Adam were superb they responded right away with excellent help and I got the replacement the next day.

Brilliant company, had a missing component which was with me in less than 24hrs of receiving the original package (which itself arrived in exceptional time). My initial email was quickly responded to and I spoke to Megan who was very helpful and again resolved the issue very quickly. Product (a compact chipper/mulcher) is fantastic and of higher quality than I'd expected, with comprehensive manuals (if you're into that sort of thing...).

Breath of fresh air using this company, highly recommend them and their products, look forward to using them in the future.

Works,but poor quality
Flat washers supplied to go on a curved surface?Not good.
Plastic clamps to locate the feet.They work but need to be beefed up if they are to last taking 250 kg loads of logs.Dont think they will
Must wear gloves to handle the “patented” log chains.Low quality galvanising has left lots of sharp spurs on the chains which slash bare hands and fingers.
Built to a price,not quality.That price is very low.

Fantastic product, company a pleasure to deal with top noch.
