I got a email saying they can’t settle…
I got a email saying they can’t settle my funds until December the reason they saying their payment processer stop proceeding their client payments so I was not able to get my business it was a stupid mistake I terminate viva wallet and choose fondy as a payment processer I culdnt able to pay may supplier and I got a over draft charged with my bank my business newer over drawn in my bank this happen because of this company my credit score with the bank is downgraded

Baron is a hard-working, honest and dedicated account manager to work with. He responds to emails and calls back on time if needed.
He is definitely a good account manager and would recommend him. On the other hand, our deal with Fondy did not go through because their risk team said the market we wanted to target is high risk
They were only going to approve and allow sales from the UK only. We pulled out because we could not trade and accept sales from only one country.
Nigeria is a good target market for us. If they will not allow sales from there. There is no point signing up
Amazing Service
We had an issue with the payment gateway on our site and our customers were unable to make purchases. So time was of the essence, I frantically contacted over 10 payment providers, Including Fondy and the response from The customer Service Team in particular Baran Ulger was fantastic. Baran was very understanding of our situation and clearly communicated the service fondy provide and was able to set-up a merchant account and integrate it on to our website within a week! When other providers did not reply to my enquiry. Usually I do not write reviews but when the service is so good its only right. Thank you!
I had an exceptional experience speaking with Baran Ulger
I had a really great and fun experience speaking to Baran Ulger. He was really knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He managed to answer all my questions and helped me open my business bank account swiftly. Never would I have thought that opening a bank account can be this fun. Wish we had more account specialists like him - super polite, warming and extremely helpful. Plus the experience so far with the bank has been absolutely amazing. Let’s go Fondy!
Account terminated after less than a year
Unfortunately, we have to update our review of Fondy. Today, 13/07/2023, after less than a year, our account was terminated. Reason given is that we had too many card-not-present transactions. In reality it was exactly 1 recent transaction, and that did not even go through due to a technical issue at Fondy! Thankfully, we had kept our other merchant accounts, so still managed to take payment in the end.
Our Fondy "Customer Success Consultant" is not empowered to help. Turns out the card processing agreement is with a 3rd party called TrustUK Payments Limited, and they call the shots.
All that remains for us to say is that we wish all the best for Fondy, but it did not work for our business, despite a lot of effort put in on both sides.
Here's our original review:
We run a holiday let business, and had been using Stripe and SumUp to process card payments from our guests. Since Brexit, European cards are being charged a higher commission by Stripe, and SumUp does not offer a decently priced solution for card-not-present payments.
When searching for a new card processor, we came across Fondy. Their 1.3%+20p fee for UK and EU cards looked very attractive to us. Setting up the online account was easy. But then we had to submit tons of documentation about our business, it felt worse than applying for a bank loan at times. Unlike the experience with Stripe and SumUp, where all processes are automated, and you can be up and running the same day you open your account, we were assigned a "Customer Success Contact", Baran Ulger. We was doing his best to get us up and running, and we would have given up on Fondy altogether without him.
Once we were approved by Fondy (it took 2 days!), we hit a multitude of problems in processing our first card payment on Fondy. Online support was very responsive, but it still took another 2 days to get the card payment through. Again, Baran was helpful in orchestrating the various internal departments at Fondy for us. Have processed more transactions now, and it all works as it should. We'd give it 5 stars going forward, but the user experience in setting up Fondy for your business needs to be seriously improved. People like Baran can only do so much to paper over the cracks. We had to be very patient, but in the end it was worth the wait for us. It feels like Fondy has developed a very solid core payment processing engine, but is still in the early stages of adapting it to the UK market. We trust they will improve quickly, though, and can't praise their very responsive customer support highly enough. Keep up the good work!

Very clear instructions are provided at every step of the integration process. I have already tested my first live payment and this only takes 7 days. Great service!

The service has hidden fees attached. Created a card with the exact amount required for the purchase and it was rejected with "Insufficient funds in your card account".

Focus on money not people (FONDY.UA)
FONDY.UA managed to surprise me. It took them few days to review my website materials and communicate to me that they would not cooperate. The most disappointing was their flat refusal to explain the reason for rejecting my application.
I certainly expected that the Ukrainian wing of the company operating in more than 20 countries had developed a policy or at least a set of criteria for cooperation/non-cooperation with businesses, which they can refer to in no-cooperation cases. Apparently, there is no such policy, or at least it is not public.
Moreover, it is not clear whether FONDY.UA has any Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. In Ukraine, they collect and process a large amount of personal and sensitive data of Ukrainian applicants and those applicants are entitled to know how their personal and sensitive data are used, stored, transferred, and disposed of.
It is worth to note that their British wing has the Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, and the Prohibited List. It signals that they made an effort to comply with the UK Law and apparently made no/little effort to comply with Ukraine's law.
It was also very surprising that FONDY.UA had chosen to refuse to cooperate and de facto communicate with a Ukrainian business at these difficult war times.
A very disappointing experience.

I filled the form out only on Fondys website and I was assigned an Baran.
Baran is very professional, very polite and literally gives so much attention to detail to ensure everything is Smooth and to get us up and running. Baran not only is great but he is very understanding and understands a business requirements which is highly important. I had to get my online payment account up and running which was up within couple of days. The whole process took around 2-3 days for me and I was up and running in no time.
Baran also went through the technical process with me. From start to finish my experience was excellent and the great thing is that you are not passed around like a number to different departments, you deal with the same person through out the journey with Fondy.
I would highly recommend Fondy.
Note to Fondy: Fondy please do not ever loose such a great asset like Baran, he is an asset to your company. If it wasn’t for Baran I would have gone elsewhere. Baran is the reason why I went ahead with Fondy!

Great company once the balls rolling
Although it isn’t a straight forward set up the company is very understanding and helpful. Julieo Caleb went above and beyond to help me connect my e-commerce website as I have learning disabilities and sometimes didn’t understand what was needed of me so when I failed to deliver he’s follow me up and explain exactly what I needed.
