Flo’s Misleading Purchase Process and Refund Scam
Update in response to Flo's reply to my post:
Apple told me to contact you because it's your system that wont allow them to refund. So it's you and your system that is blocking any refund.
The purchase process led me to believe I would have to pay after a 7 day trial so I paid for the pro version. As soon as I got inside, I realized there was a free version and I immediately went to cancel the subscription. Apple said they couldn’t refund me because of the way Flo has their systems set up (to automatically reject refund requests) and advised me to contact them. I emailed them and they wrote me back saying it’s Apple that “they would be happy to refund me, but it’s Apple that won’t let them”. I’ve emailed them 20 times and I keep getting that same sentence. They still have my $39.99 even though I tried to cancel just seconds after signing up.

A subscription cancelled still being…
A subscription cancelled still being charged monthly and at an amount that doesn’t even marry up to the prices advertised and no one can or will stop money being taken it keeps getting thrown back to Apple who refuse refunds!

Best Period App (IMHO)
Flo was recommended to me over 10 years ago, and I've been using it ever since. I have used a dozen period apps and still try out new ones, but this is by far still the best one. It is the most accurate (for me), has provided the most educational information based on where I am in my cycle, and has transformed how I plan things and understand my moods/body. It also has an option to alert your partner when you're PMSing, which has been a treat (literally). When coming from other user interfaces, it might take a while to get used to, but it's worth it because it does what all other period apps do, combined. I've recommended it to everyone I know, especially now that it syncs with the Oura ring. 10/10

Does what it is for and above
Lot's of functions i dont need. Who needs community around menstruation. Give me the only feature i really need (tracking/calendar) and leave me alone with all that upsell stuff.

Charge my account after cancellation
Cancelled subscription and continue to still be charged. Have contacted directly multiple times and they still have not refunded me or tried to sort out the issue.

fine, although i have some privacy concerns
i like the interface and prefer the options i have for logging/tracking as opposed to other period tracker apps i've tried. i just wish i could disable the flo assistant as it's just an annoying popup, seeing as i dont pay for premium. i'm also rather little iffy on the state of the privacy of my data since finding out about that lawsuit from last year regarding flo's sharing of user data with companies like google and meta for advertising purposes; will probably switch at some point if i can(re-logging everything in a new app is a hassle i dont feel like tackling just yet), and i'd suggest anyone yet to use a period tracker looks to start off with one a little more sound privacy-wise than flo.
