Walked away after reviewing the contract
I walked away after reviewing the contract.
The agreement looked poorly drafted and too one-sided. Important points such as exclusivity, damage coverage, deposit handling, unpaid rent, cancellation, and liability were either vague, inconsistent, or left subject to undefined external policies. That is not acceptable for a service that manages your property and your income.
What stood out was the imbalance. The provider seemed to keep broad rights and flexibility, while limiting its own responsibility if problems arise. There were also basic drafting issues, including inconsistent clauses and weak dispute language, which did not inspire confidence.
A contract is where a company shows how serious and professional it really is. In this case, the agreement made me lose trust rather than build it. I would advise any property owner to get independent legal review before signing anything.
