This was one of the most disappointing and time consuming shopping experiences I’ve had with a specialty running store, and I’m sharing it so other runners can avoid the same ordeal.

On Sunday 7/26, my boyfriend and I went to Fleet Feet North Miami to buy On Cloud running shoes. The store didn’t have his size, but the associate promised they would ship the correct pair from Coconut Grove the next day, email the receipt, and send a FedEx tracking number. None of that ever happened. By Friday 7/31, we still had no shoes, no receipt, no tracking, and no proactive communication from any store.

When I called on Friday morning, Pablo (the owner) said the wrong shoes had been shipped, then promised a new pair for Saturday delivery and tracking “by the end of the day.” No one followed up. Later that afternoon, a manager at the Kendall store spoke to me rudely (“I know who you are”) and repeated the same shipping promise again with no tracking, no update, and no accountability.

On Sunday 8/2, I called Coconut Grove and spoke with Manny, the only truly helpful person in this entire process. He tried to track the order and was waiting on Pablo for the FedEx number, which never appeared, confirming the shoes hadn’t actually been shipped as promised. Shortly after, Pablo texted that they were sending the shoes by Uber courier with two pairs of socks “for the inconvenience.” When the package arrived, we opened it and found a mismatched pair: one black/white left On Cloud shoe and one white right shoe in a different style we never ordered. As you can see from the attached photo, we ended up with two different shoes instead of the correct pair.

I called Pablo again; he admitted it was a “big mistake” but said he couldn’t process a refund until Monday when accounting opened. At that point, we were eight days past the original payment, with no usable shoes, a mismatched pair we can’t wear, and still no refund in motion.

Bottom line: Manny at Coconut Grove showed genuine customer service, but Fleet Feet’s leadership and operations across North Miami, Kendall, and Coconut Grove were disorganized, uncommunicative, and at times rude. Multiple broken promises, shipping errors, and delays on something as basic as a refund have completely eroded our trust. We will not be shopping at Fleet Feet again or recommending them to other runners.

What I expect is simple: a prompt full refund, clear ownership of the repeated mistakes, and real improvements in staff training, inventory controls, and customer follow‑up. Until Fleet Feet can demonstrate that level of accountability, I’d strongly encourage other shoppers to be cautious or take their business elsewhere.

Shop at west Hartford. all the time. Today while trying to buy another new running shoes was told
Ld I needed to take off my socks and put on Theirs. Mind you in all the years I have shopped here with my family this has never happen nor have I been asked to use their socks to. Try on shoes reused to let me try on shoes unless I conformed Sorry Mike. Will shop elsewhere I also saw other customers being waited in by others sales people leaving their “ Nike” socks on.

They sent me Hokas that had been worn. Have been a customer for 8 years and that ends today. Not acceptable that they failed on quality control based on being a specialty store. I had to return at the local store which was totally inconvenient. At least they were apologetic. Don’t order online from Fleet Feet and don’t bother to shop at the store as they can’t offer much if you have wide feet.

How do you change my date to a day later then you originally scheduled even though I have paid for expedited shipment? What a joke this place is. I could have ordered it through Asics and gotten it earlier. . .

TERRIBLE RETURN POLICY
Bought Hokas and inserts to try to help my son's foot pains. They didn't help, but no big deal. The problem is the inserts fell apart after 45 days. The exchange policy is 30 days, so it's a complete loss for me and my son. The employers were unhelpful and didn't care. Just know ANYTHING you buy is non refundable, even if it's one day after 30 days. No store credit or exchanges or even an apology.

I went to the Broken Arrow Oklahoma Store to purchase some HOKAs or OnCloud shoes in January 2026. The sales person evaluated my feet using the Fit Process tools and recommended me purchasing TOPOs. I have 5 different pairs of running/walking/training shoes from different manufacturers and have a professional job that requires dress shoes, so I don't wear any shoe daily. I started having foot pain that lead to an Orthopedic visit. After much evaluation and elimination it was determined the pain was cuased by the TOPOs. This process clearly takes longer than 30 days. The FleetFeet store refused to give me any accomodation for these shoes that I can't wear, even though they told me to buy these. I had never heard of TOPOs and I would never have purchased TOPOs if not for the FleetFeet employee recommending them based on their Fitting Tool Analysis. The FleetFeet store refused to give me any financial accomodation, citing their 30 day return policy. This is incompetence at its finest.

(This review is for the Fleet Feet RALEIGH) I have been a loyal customer of Fleet Feet for over 10 years and have recommended the store to many friends. I also brought my kids there for years when they were running XC, so our family has purchased many many pairs of shoes from Fleet Feet. I purchase running shoes there every 4-5 months and, until now, have never once returned a pair of shoes or complained. My most recent purchase was $180 pair of Saucony running shoes. After only about three weeks of use, the sides of the shoes began to wear down significantly. Given my long history with the store, I brought them back expecting at least a conversation about the issue and perhaps some assistance. Instead, the experience was extremely disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested and abrupt, and the interaction made me feel as though I was trying to pull a fast one being dishonest about the issue. After more than a decade of loyal business that was incredibly insulting. Rather than taking the time to understand the problem they insisted it was my issue and possibly the use of gym equipment! The solution they offered was simply another pair of shoes priced lower than the ones I had purchased, and the overall tone felt like they just wanted to move me out the door as quickly as possible. It's unfortunate, because Fleet Feet has always been a store I trusted and recommended. I hope management takes customer loyalty more seriously in the future.

I stopped in the Blue Ash store in Cincinnati and it was extremely busy. I had shoes in my hand and waited for someone to help me. No one looked or acknowledged my presence. I then asked a sales associate if I needed to take a number or something and he told me to scan the QR code which I then did, and it showed I was #2 in line. I sat and waited and someone walked through the door, looked at the shoes on the wall and the same sales associate came up to them asking if they needed help. I told him that I scanned the QR code like he told me to do and that I was waiting there for a while. He told me he will get with me soon and I told him he will not because I was leaving. I then went to their competitor Tri State Running, and they were super helpful and friendly. Tri State Running just earned a long-time customer.

I had a very disappointing experience with Fleet Feet’s online store.

I ordered a CIM Sacramento International Marathon sweater as a Christmas gift for my fiancée after she ran a Boston Marathon qualifying time. Fleet Feet cancelled the order without any notification or explanation. I only discovered it after checking the order status myself.

What makes this more frustrating is that I used a large amount of store credit earned from shopping in store over time mostly from buying gels and other running nutrition. Those credits came from loyal purchases and the lack of communication felt careless and disrespectful.

If the item was out of stock that is understandable but cancelling an order without notifying the customer is not. I expected better customer service from a company that claims to support the running community.

Love their shop in Maitland! Best advice for runners.

Every time we order something, all or part of our order is cancelled. I bought my wife a gift card, and she has literally been unable to spend it because nothing is in stock despite the website's inventory claims.

Poor customer service!

Customer service wanted me to return two popped open gels from my order.

I have been a consistent customer with 20+ orders in the last three years. I order gels through the site since they are the same price as other sites but can earn rewards points.

The gels always come poorly packaged. And this last order the gels were so shoved into a small box, two of them popped open, and the package was dropped off overnight so when I grab it in the morning, it's a stick mess and has got ants. I contacted Fleet Feet support and was asked to return the opened gels to get replaced. Seriously, like I hadn't already thrown the gels away.

I have been having issues with damaging my toe nails for a few years now. 4 in the last year alone. After having a scan and consulting with Emily, an avid runner with 4500 miles in for the year told me I was wearing shoes too small for my feet. She informed me my width, gait and arch were normal. She recommended a size 11.5 would be my optimal size based on 10.7 left and 10.9 right sizes. She suggested I buy a neutral D. She fitted me with several shoes. I bought the Brooks Ghost 17 size 11. She told my sweet spot should be 11.5. She was right but it took me a little bit to believe it. After 3 weeks in them my right heal began to hurt. I ordered Hokas Clifton 9 online size 11. Received them and they were great but defective with a torn right tongue. I was able to run and train in them for a week before realizing this defect. FF refunded me for both the Clifton 9 and Ghost 17 (this shoe is too stiff and heavy. Tried to like it, but I knew I could find something better). I tried the new and improved Clifton 10, but I like the 9 way better. The 9 is far better and feels better than the 10. I bought another 9 size 11.5 this time. First run in them was amazing. With the military discount they ended up being the cheapest option of the other two purchases. FF has definitely helped me. They didn't offer me socks, extra stuff. They focused on trying to get me in a shoe that would work for me. My toes are much better with less damage. My running has been improved. Thanks Emily and staff at the Blue Ash Cincinnati store. I would recommend them to anyone.

I went I. To purchase a pair of shoes. The salesperson wanted to know my name, asking about what type of sock I wear. I politely told him I was shopping for shoes, not socks. I was not in the mood for sales gimmicks. Long story short, I walked out and purchased the shoes from Amazon.

Fast, patient service with integrity.

Are you guys aware of the video from the singer jelly roll and his experience at one of your stores?? He and his mom went in to get some shoes ,And he asked if someone could help his mom . The manager asked one of the guys to help her younger dude, and there was a young guy coming in, so he just totally ignored the Jelly Rolls grandmother And went and helped the young person. They did get helped by nice old gentlemen. He took his grandma to the car and went back in to give that little boy a piece of his mind, and he was accosted by the manager….
Now, if you don’t know who he is, I suggest you look it up. This man spins a lot of money in your stores…

It’s nice to find a company that is dependable and trustworthy. They have an excellent variety of shoes, and they still carry a limited variety of older models. The prices are reasonable as well. Some companies will hike prices of older models, but this company does not do that.
The shipping speed was also very good. My shoes arrived in two days after placing the order.
I’ll order from this company again.

I was leary about ordering shoes from this website based on the reviews, but it was an awesome experience. I even had to reach out to customer svc to make a quick change to the shipping address and Lisa was quick and got it done. I will definitely order from Fleet Feet again!

This would be big fat zero stars, if I could do that!
I ordered shoes and they canceled the order a few days later without letting me know ahead because the shoes were out of stock! How about doing your job and making sure before allowing customers to order!

Morrisville, NC - on a busy Saturday a young man (Curtis on our receipt) greeted us and offered to help. I explained my issues to him. He took various measurements from my feet including size, gait and pressure points when standing- he explained all the results including the fact my shoes were 2 sizes too small! After showing me exactly what shoes would help my feet, my feet felt fantastic! My only complaint was the color and that was quickly resolved with several more choices! My husband was so impressed by the level of service that he went through the same tests. His shoe size was spot on but he found a perfect pair of shoes too! I couldn’t ask for a better experience- this young man was so knowledgeable about EVERY shoe. His patience with explaining what was causing my issues was so greatly appreciated! He never pressured us into buying anything! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!
