Professional from first to last. It's our first log burner, so a little bit of trepidation about cost, mess, finish etc ~ needn't have bothered. Paul provided us with a detailed, affordable quote, Nigel and his colleagues saw to everything else from preparation, fitting and tidying up. We now have a beautiful log burner which suits the house perfectly.
Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Flames to anyone ~ many thanks guys.

From the moment we entered the showroom of this family business, we experienced magnificent personal service. Everyone we met was helpful and attentive - Ian came to check out our space within three days and Paul lit up a couple of stoves in which we'd shown an interest and had them ready and waiting for us on our second visit to the shop. Jean upstairs was a friendly and efficient contact on the phone too - mustn't forget her! We opted for a Stovax Chesterfield and are delighted with the installation and how it changes the look of our sitting room. It took a while for the suppliers to deliver the stoves, owing to the current problems of covid, but it was worth the wait of a few weeks! Andrew and Nigel came to fit it and were so pleasant and hard-working; the whole job only took two days and they did a meticulous job. We cannot recommend this company highly enough - great service all round. We shall be back to choose a shelf to finish it off! Thank you Flames!

A huge thank you to Flames our lovely new Gazco Riva2 600 'in the wall' fireplace. It looks wonderful and has made a massive difference to the look of the room! A special thank you too to Andrew and Nigel. It was a pleasure to have you both working in our home. Flames installed our original fireplace more than 30 years ago and have been servicing it annually, we can't recommend them highly enough and have in fact decided to move our gas appliance home service package to them from now on!

The team recently fitted a new gas fire with made to measure surround. Fixed a flue and chimney issue and cowl on chimney. They were professional and tidy and worked like troopers for the day. So happy with the work and have them booked for more work (new boiler and other jobs) in two weeks. Excellent company.

Had a boiler breakdown, found no heating or hot water one morning, Flames were able to diagnose the problem immediately, it was a very old boiler and around 15 years old, the cost to repair it was half as much as a new boiler, so I decided to have a new boiler, within 3 days I got a new Vaillant boiler, the guys were lovely, helpful, explained everything to me, worked cleanly and very professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. I now have a lovely new boiler, with a 10 year warranty, I have also taken out their Service Plan cover, for £168 for a year, which is a fantastic price for peace of mind and a boiler service at the end of the year. This is the second time we’ve used them because their customer service is excellent. They met our timetable - before the due date of our baby despite Covid restrictions! They were very clean, very professional and very good value for money. I can’t recommend them more highly. Brilliant company!

Installed two new gas boilers and moved some radiators. Also replaced a wood burning stove with an electric stove. All workmanship was excellent. Staff (shop and trade) very nice to deal with and clearly know what they are doing. Work was tidy, done to time and within quote. Team were also good at explaining the work done and giving any training needed. I recommend them very highly.

We have used Flames for 4 years now on two houses. The work has ranged from basic servicing, repairs, modifications and new installations. All has been to the highest standard and all staff have been helpful and professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

Just had our Riva2 600 HL installed and cannot be more pleased with it. It has enhanced both the room and the existing Portland stone fire surround that we wanted to retain. The guys carefully removed part of the surround to complete the installation and once it was back in place you wouldn’t know that it had been disturbed.
Very personable, professional and accommodating installation team. All rubbish was removed and although it was a dusty job care was taken to ensure that furniture was covered before work started.
Would recommend Flames as a company.

I ordered what appeared an impossible task at the beginning of December, to have a new chimney breast with inbuilt Gotham 1300 fire, a Large TV recess with articulated TV bracket, upper recess for soundbar and all wired, plastered, coved and painted. I now have a wonderful lounge with fantastic focal point of the highest quality and all done in time for Christmas- Miracle. Our new fireplace is better than we ever imagined! The service we received from flames was outstanding and very professional from start to finish. Our 50's house had a 70's York stone brick fireplace surround added to the original 50's open fireplace with obsolete and unused back-boiler. When the York stone surround had been added by the previous owner, the chimney breast had been made artificially wider by a concoction of wood and hardboard which had then been integrated into the Artex ceiling and coving. We did not want to end up completely remodelling the whole room.

Despite not knowing what they would find until they started to remove the old structures, the Flames Knowle team rose to the challenge, measuring the existing chimney breast, carefully removing the fake wooden structure, the old back-boiler fire, its surround and then carefully rebuilding the chimney breast in block and plaster to the same dimensions as the old one to avoid affecting the ceiling or the coving. They then installed the modern wood burner fire and added the new surround and hearth that we had selected.

The Flames team were happy to discuss what they found as they carried out the demolition work and the options for the rebuild, as well as explaining what they were doing at every stage. They sheeted up the furniture we could not move and even put plastic bags on the light fittings, then cleaned up all of the debris and even vacuumed the carpet. The quality of the work meant we were able to just paint the new plastered chimney breast, which we can't do with any of the other walls due to the existing poor plaster.

We are delighted with our new fire, which has completely transformed our sitting room yet is in keeping with the style of the house. Cannot recommend highly enough
