We needed a bumper painted quickly, our vehicle is used daily and therefore this had to be priority.
We ordered the bumper and got it delivered directly to the Braintree site and we had a painted bumper back the next day.
The job was executed quickly and efficiently ensuring the procedure was painless.
Paint job was 👌🏻 which was important considering the vehicle was less than 6months old.

Professional and easy to deal with, quick pick up and car back before expected date

The only issue I had was the collection point. I’d specifically given my work address for the collection/delivery of courtesy car and the driver (who was very pleasant) was directed to my home address. Exactly the same thing happened when they delivered my car back to me. Fortunately it was the same driver and he had the sense to come to my office. Other than that the work was of a good standard and I am pleased with the repair.

My car was damaged by a falling tree branch in high winds. It took out my wing mirror, the front grill had part of a branch embedded in it and there were a lot scuff and scratches with some minor dents. The car was collected quickly and throughout the repair there was good communication over progress. My car returned 16 days later but on close inspection there were still a couple of dents along the front bumper so the car was returned. The manager called to apologise but estimated I would have to wait an additional week for its return to me. Disappointing- I am not sure how it passed inspection

Efficient and helpful in a difficult and unknown situation

I needed a minor repair following a bumped bumper!

The ladies on the phone were so polite and helpful. Easy to talk to someone of/when needed.

The guy who picked up and dropped off my car was a lovely person too. Result was exactly one week I had my car back with zero cracks or scuffs on bumper and lovely polished paint work!

They really looked after it and me, so big thank you to everyone involved. It was a minor job but nonetheless, wouldn't hesitate to use them again although it is the insurance approved one so I didn't 'choose' this time. Thanks!

Initial booking was very straight forward and efficient and collection driver was punctual and helpful. The repairs were completed extremely quickly so much so there was no communication to advise that they had been authorised and an expected completion date so there was some confusion with arranging the return of my vehicle, however it all got resolved.

Highly recommended. Excellent Customer service and very happy with the repairs on my car. It was returned having been cleaned and polished.

The rear end of my Citroen was damaged in an accident. Motor first were very polite and approachable. They put me at ease and assured me it would be fixed without a problem. Very professional and friendly . I would recommend!

Part 1 - 6th June 2025

Nineteen (19) days ago on, 18th May 2025, having reported to my Fully Comp, 'Plus Extras (seperately paid for)', car insurer, AGEAS, that a third party had driven into the side of my car, AGEAS, in turn contacted FIX AUTO UK, BRAINTREE, to carry out all the necessary repair work and to provide me with a courtesy car, as per my policy requirements.

FIX AUTO UK, BRAINTREE, then sent me a couple of emails asking me to provide the following six (6) items of information. But, have made no attempt whatsoever, to actually send someone to my address to inspect my car, themselves.

I feel extremely annoyed/angry that at this time, after 19 days plus, FIX AUTO UK, BRAINTREE, have made no effort to collect my car for repair and that they are asking me for a copy of my driving licence, when my insurer has this information.

1.The registration plate.
2.The VIN/Chassis number.
3.A picture of the dashboard including the mileage.
4.Images of the damaged area.
5.Image of the front and back of vehicle.
6.Photo of your driving licence.

Part 2 - 6th June 2025

A few hours after leaving this review, I received a phone call from Fix Auto Braintree, who then asked if, I could drive my car to them from Colchester? A round trip of over 30 miles from my home, for Fix Auto Braintree, to inspect the damage to my car!

The answer was a resounding, "NO". They will be asking me to repair my own car next!

Amazingly, (see how leaving Negative Feedback, on Trustpilot, can set the wheels in motion?) it was then arranged for someone to call upon me, that afternoon; two men, to inspect my car, whilst delivering/taking another car to/from someone else.

So why did Fix Auto Braintree, not arrange this in the very first instance???

Having then left with the information, photo's, mileage etcetera, they needed, returned to Fix Auto Braintree.

I then, later that day received a phone call from their office, to discuss the collection of my car and delivery on the courtesy car.

Unbelieveably, I have now been told that Fix Auto Braintree, do not have a courtesy car available until, 26th June, another 20 days!!!

That, has now been booked in.

May I suggest, Fix Auto Braintree, change their name to, Fix Eventually Months Later, Auto Braintree?
