This course was one of the best run and most accessible and informative I have ever attended (not simply First Aid, but any course). I had no idea what ‘first aid’ really meant before the day started and yet now I feel confident in doing my best in a tricky spot, on my own. Alan is an excellent teacher and when it comes time for my refresher, I hope I can get trained by Alan again.

An excellent Oudoor First Aid course from First Aid Academy. Maggie a very able and engaging instructor for this very practical course. This is my fourth update with the firm and I would recommend it to all requiring the Level 3 Outdoor Certificate. They hold courses throughout the country and are based in Manchester.

Found the content on my Level 3 Outdoor course very interesting and in my opinion these courses should be a mandatory part of school. Maggie certainly knows her stuff and made it engaging. As a newbie to first aid it was a lot to take on board in 2 days and I'm absolutely knackered but was really rewarding!! Was told it may take 2 weeks to get my certificate, I received it the following morning👍👍

Had an amazing and very educational weekend with Alan. I can't believe how fast it all flew by!

The best first aid course I’ve been on. Maggie kept an incredible pace but was extremely accessible with it. She was so passionate, you couldn’t help but stay switched on the whole time. This is clearly a vocation and she obviously puts a lot of effort into research and attending CPD to make sure she’s current.
Great props, an excellent mix of learning activities (not just relying on the standard assessed recovery position and CPR for practical activities). And a group sorting exercise which really helped with the ‘miscellaneous ailments’ section which is often just delivered as a PowerPoint and goes in one ear and out the other.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Maggie and Alan were great instructors on a recent first aid course that I attended.

Very informative and engaging teaching the practical mixed in with the theory.

The pace of the course was really good and they kept all the attendees engaged and were very happy to hear our stories and share experiences.

Probably one of the best first aid courses that I have attended.

Hopefully they will be doing my 3 year refresher in 2025?

I had 1-day training with FA academy, and everything was perfectly explained.
Also, a month after that, my kid had a seizure due to a high temperature, and I was able to react properly. Also, this saved me from a panic attack since I was alone with a kid. It would be nice if parents could have those types of training through the community for free (since sometimes it is really necessary)
Alan is a great trainer, and I highly recommend this academy for any training.

If you are looking to attend a first aid at work training course then I’d have no hesitation in recommending first aid academy. Our instructor Maggie made the session very interesting and informative and kept all the attendees attention through the day which made the learning experience great and memorable which is exactly what you need from this type of training.

Content and presentation of this Outdoor First Aid course was excellent. Course instructor Ian was top notch and he ensured that each topic was well covered. The practical sessions were very useful and gave useful insights into what one might face and how to respond to it. Overall, a very worthwhile 2 days. Big thanks!
