Didn't get my refund. They ignored all my emails.
Purchased one of their courses and I realised it wasn't what I needed. Within the same day I cancelled and requested a refund. They've ignored all emails since
incomplete course. 30 day money back guarantee lie. they never respond emails
I purchased the learn Deno course the realtime streaming chat application project that was advertised on youtube was never completed. I emailed to ask why the course was not completed as advertised and recieved no response from the official contact email. I left messages in the help section on the discord channel also no answer. I feel that I've been swindled by fireship. I will never purchase another course from him again.
If this was on YouTube I could at least watch at 0.25 speed...
What did I just watch? Did I actually watch anything? It went by so fast maybe I just imagined it. Maybe I would get more use out of a daydream than whatever that was.
A lot of it is outdated, which is a problem when updating things via the command line as they will immediately want you to update the packages Jeff has given you, so I'm no longer working with the same versions as what I'm watching on screen.
I was just trying to learn Flutter and ended up spending the whole time trying to install Firebase in the terminal for some reason, which had no explanation other than "the Firebase website tells you what to do". I've worked with databases before, I want to learn Flutter. I get that its a mix course of the two but still, what am I doing with my life?
I purchased a lifetime membership. I've been following his channel for a year or so. He makes programming easier to understand and with a funny dry humor that keeps you watching. One of the best teachers on programming.
I bought the Sveltekit course since I am using this tech stack for a new project and want to learn it. I have been watching fireship videos for a while.
Honestly, I am very disappointed. The format is the same as the youtube videos but you are expected to follow along as a course? There are many times where things are skipped over which you need to figure out yourself (they could at least provide a simple github repo with the code, they only have the final version). The explanations of everything are extremely superficial. In the end I feel like this is just like copy pasting code and I barely understood any of it. It is honestly a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend this course.
I have been following huntabyte on youtube and following those tutorials on sveltekit with pocketbase and supabase and they are much better and obviously free.
Love the courses. Bought a JavaScript course for a 20$ one time purchase. Fast paced videos and more detailed description always attached to them. 5/5
Course is pretty bad in my opinion. I expect more resources from a course. He just goes over the bare surface of a subject and guides you on what to research next.
You can get the same experience as the course by searching up any project ideas and creating them yourself.
You do get a Fireship sticker with your purchase, so you can consider this purchase a donation if you like the Fireship channel.
I personally don't think it's worth nearly 30€ a month. Every single topic is a 1-2 minute video where with the bare minimum of explanation.
It's like someone's reading a dumbed down version of the documentation to you, which you then need to google and experiment with anyway, because nothing was actually explained.
It's still useful to get a broad idea of the concept and some inspiration on how to approach the whole thing, but it's not worth the monthly subscription.
Maybe one month max. where you quickly go through everything (easily done since the videos are so short lol).
Personally I think the courses are great! However I can fully understand why there are some mixed reviews. The teaching style is very fast pace and not for everyone. I found myself pausing the videos quite a bit and backtracking on a lot of the information. I like that the videos are short and to the point. If you have some experience coding I highly recommend paying for the pro version, if you're a newbie and don't know much maybe try out Udemy or solo learn first so you can learn some basics and foundational stuff at a slower pace.
Fireship's content is great. It is not for beginners and many concepts are not explained. Jeff often shows you code and quickly mentions what it does with no explanations. The courses consist mostly of giving you ideas which you later have to google and stack overflow yourself. The experience is frustrating. I expected the pro courses to be a longer explanation of the youtube previews, but they are just as brief. Also, a lot of the content is outdated such as cloud functions, firebase initialization and some of the Stripe objects.
The Stripe course fireship gives is amazing. It's a little bit updates, but he already stated he is working on a new version, but those outdated things are small, since you can easily fix it thanks to the stripe documentation. Amazin
Fireship.io is a great website, and its courses are very detailed and to the point!
However, sometimes the code doesn't work, and you need to find a solution yourself, which can take some time.
Also, sometimes he doesn't explain the code so that we can understand what we are doing.
Other than that, he is very good!
The courses are sweet, sharp, and to the point. I recommend this course for all coders!

Although their SEO is really good and this is likely one of the first things that'll pop up for Flutter Firebase courses, the content was average at best. Glossed over many concepts with a "trust me" attitude leaving the user without any real knowledge on how to architect and create their own app.
Better off going with a highly rated Udemy course.
Also membership cancels the day of, instead of at the end of the billing cycle which is common courtesy honestly.
